I’m a guy. A straight guy. But I prefer to get my hair cut in a salon, rather than a barber shop. Moreover, I like having my hair washed (and scalp massaged) afterwards. Ellen never disappointed me over the 2+ years I lived in Altus and went to Whatcha… Stephanie and Janet are always funny and pleasant to chat with and/​or harass; things were never boring in that salon. Give ‘em a try.

I started going here awhile back and it’s the best place I’ve ever gone. Stephanie knows what to do w my hair. She knows what works and what doesn’t. I never get nervous when in the chair. She has a natural talent I have not encountered anywhere else. I’ve never left unhappy. Everyone there is professional and happy. Everyone there is always booked, which says a lot about a salon.

This is not a review of our salon, but I, as the owner of Whatchamacallit, I have something to say! …we have had a few bad reviews of our salon and it is really bothering me… I would like to say that the stylists that people are giving bad reviews about are no longer employed at our salon… Our stylist all do amazing work– we take great pride in our salon and the work we do… and we love working at Whatchamacallit!

My son and husband just got their haircuts by Ellen… as always she did a wonderful job! My son is 15 months and he squirmed the whole time, she was so patient and nice. The price wasn’t too bad either $ 15 for my husbands hair cut and $ 10 for my sons.
