Here for 2 days for a gymnastics meet at the civic center, so here’s whats going on already, front desk lady is nice, but the hotel is like a maze, sucks having to go to the car for anything. The ac in the room wont go below 70, I found really really long brown and red tipped hairs all in the bed –gross– the sink at the vanity area drains very very slowly, so we just use the kitchenette. …and that was all just the 1st night.

Made a reservation knowing that there was severe weather(Blizzard) in route to Central Texas Arrived @ 11:00 pm Dec 26th and checked into our room. Female clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room was quite cold(57 degrees) We turned on the HVAC and went to bed Woke up at 1:00 a.m. to a room temp of 52 degrees and cold air blowing from the vent Called the front desk and spoke to the overnight clerk Chris only to receive a bunch of excuses why the heat wasn’t working and the worst customer service ever. It’s winter in Amarillo and the HVAC for the entire hotel isn’t working? 14 hours later, everyone is wearing their coats and sweaters at the restaurant during breakfast because it is so cold. Unacceptable. We are loyal(15 year) HHonors customers. There are many options for hotel accommodations, based on this experience I would not recommend this hotel.

I used to LOVE this hotel but it has gone downhill and BIGTIME! I would not recommend staying here at all! Find somewhere better! This place is tacky!

The room was good. A huge red stain right next to the bed was off-putting. The shower was incredible! The huge problem I had with this place was the continental breakfast. I went to the dining area at 8:30… The breakfast ends at 9:30. There was one person on the waffle iron, and there was no batter cups left. The apples had large worm holes, and were rotting. There were no bananas available. I grabbed a Danish and sat down, hoping my problem was going to be over with after a quick restock. The Danish was ok, the crust was crispy, but the lemon«filling» was completely dry. After 10 minutes, the same guy was waiting for his one waffle to be done. Skipping the waffles altogether, I noticed a girl eating a yogurt cup. I decided to get one, and noticed it was gone. Fine, I’ll have some cereal, I grabbed my milk(last one available) and a box of cereal and… No spoons. I placed the cereal back and grabbed a bagel, and not to my surprise, there was no cream cheese left. I ate my bagel with no cream cheese and decided to end my chain of uneventfuls with some hot chocolate. I grab the chocolate powder, a cup, and cream… Head over to the hot water… And there was none. It sounds like a comedy not worth watching. I was laughing as I was writing this because of the irony. It all was a chain of events that could have easily been fixed with a run through of inventory. But all in all, I was unimpressed with the quality of the breakfast.

great place to stay when travelling with family. separate living area and private master bedroom. reasonable rates, very clean and decent free breakfast. the lobby is nicely decorated. the only change i would suggest would be room darkening curtains so i don’t start stirring at 6 am. love the art in our suite and throughout the hotel. all on loan from the local museum. great attentive staff too!

We love staying at Homewood Suites, but this HAS to be one of the nicest! Would definitely recommend it.
