The food is good here. It was better than i expected, will definitely be back. Oh and the cinnamon and vanilla tea is amazing!!!

Great food! I think it is as authentic as it gets considered its called a diner and its Asian inspired. Be mindful when it is rush hour, the wait will get long. But overall, the food never fails. I always tend to get the Kung Pao Steak with fried rice. Delcious. Definesttly one of those to go places when you dont know where else to go for lunch or dinner.

Fast service is about all this place has going for them. After ordering, we were handed glasses dripping with grey dish water that we wiped down ourselves. The food arrived quickly but we were very disappointed in almost everything we ordered. The spring rolls tasted of ginger to the point that we couldn’t eat them and the lettuce served with the lettuce wraps was soaking wet mess. We ended up eating the filling with a fork. I’m more than certain we will not be back.

Had lunch with a friend and our daughters. The spring rolls tasted like straight ginger. The lettuce pieces served with our lettuce wraps were small and dripping wet. Also a few pieces were wilted. My daughter was ok with her kids lo mein. It’s not worth standing back in line to ask for decent lettuce so we just left.

Dad and I are at PeiWei. Takeout. There have these computer monitors and I keep hitting it because I think it’s a touch screen ordering system. Turns out just to be menu displays.

Fast service. Had Kung pao wasn’t too spicy. Wife and several others had sushi and enjoyed it. We had split tables from the team, parents and kids. They were very nice to take adult order to us and then walk across the restaurant to take food to our kids.

I’m hoping that this gets rectified immediately. Stop by here for dinner with my son… ordered a lo mein combo with shrimp and chicken $ 9.69 and a orange peel shrimp $ 7.19 with water… my receipt with tax is $ 18.27 but when I verified my bank account it say Pei Wei$ 56.29. Please please explain the difference ??? Will be back there tomorrow for an immediate resolution!!!

It was my first visit, and I didn’t expect much from the food being that it’s an Asian answer to fast food, but it was ok. We started with the crab wontons. They were pretty pricy and I wasn’t incredibly impressed. The filling had a funky grainy texture and they were SUPER sweet. They were okay, but there are much better versions to be had for a better price. I ordered the Sesame Chicken with fried rice. The portion was a good size and the chicken was moist. The veggies were all really flavorful and cooked well. I would have liked more rice to hold the extra sauce. The flavor was pretty good, but again, a little sweeter than I would prefer. I had a little left to bring home for a midnight snack. Trav got the Teriyaki Steak with fried rice. I tasted his steak and it was a little dry. It really didn’t have much flavor other than the sweet component that was present in everything we ordered. The vegetables were good, though. For the Subway of Asian food, it wasn’t bad… I was a little surprised at the price. It was almost $ 40 for the dishes I mentioned plus 2 drinks. We could have had better Asian food for less money at almost any locally owned joint around. The bright point was the sweet girl that delivered our food and bussed our table. She was very nice and friendly. I probably won’t put Pei Wei on my «go to» list.

Good food, BIG portions. One dish easily splittable. I really enjoy eating here. The food really good, in my opinion. One area has all the drinks, straws, silverware, napkins and to-go boxes, serve yourself as needed. They have a separate door for pick-up orders to speed that up.

Thought I’d try out the few options that you can make vegan here. This location had only two. Could be all Pei Wei’s now or nust this location… not sure. Anyways. We got Tofu & Vegetables with the Sweet & Sour & the Teriyaki. Teriyaki flavor wasn’t that bad but hated the tofu. Cooked weird. Veggies needed to be cooked a bit longer. Basically raw. As for the Sweet & Sour… it was my fiancés dish so of course I tried it but hated the sauce. Same issues with the tofu and veggies as well. We ordered an appetizer that we didn’t get until 15 minutes after our entrée. They gave us extra of the appetizer to make up for the time. Gave a star for that, but to be honest, I think that I would’ve just paid for food that I never would’ve recieved had my fiancé not gotten up from the table to go show them the receipt and remind them. On top of that, it wasn’t very good. Although better than the entrees. Other straw is for one of the staff members who had great customer service towards us and was sympathetic towards their mistakes & answered the couple of questions that I had. Anyways, lucky for them, I take good pictures so it does LOOK yummy… tasty? HARDPASS.

I catch a lot of crap from my friends over my obsession with Pei Wei. What can I say? I love the shrimp pad thai, the caramel chicken, the orange beef, even the lettuce wraps. Yes I know, it isn’t authentic anything. So what? I did my time eating at food carts and back alley diners throughout Beijing, Hong Kong, and Saigon, and if that didn’t earn me the right to the occasional fried rice and plastic wrapped fortune cookies I don’t know what would. A step down from big brother PF Changs and a step above its greasy little brother Panda Express, Pei Wei is a clean, quiet option for consistently good Asian food. The prices are a little more then some places but they give you enough food that you can easily split a bowl with a friend. Otherwise be prepared to need a to go box, and since there’s pretty much no service once they bring you your food, know you’ll have to go find the box yourself once you’re ready to leave. UPDATED Nearly a year later I reluctantly return for an update and a downgrade from 4 to 3 stars. I still love the shrimp pad thai, the caramel chicken, the orange beef, even the lettuce wraps, but sadly the rest of the place seems to be going south. From a wobbly toilet in the women’s restroom to stuffing poking out through split vinyl on the booth seating, it’s starting to look rough in here. The table tops are scratched and more than a few times I’ve found my arm stuck to their surface before we’ve even gotten our food. I’m not ready to cut and run just yet, but with Lemongrass providing equally good food in a much fresher environment and Saigon blowing everyone out of the water, Pei Wei has given up its first place slot on my favorites list and is rapidly sliding downward. UPDATED11/12/2014 Pei Wei earned a star back after fixing the toilet, the booth seats and putting in new tabletops. The staff seems to have gotten a fire lit under them as well, with improved attitudes all around. The much needed facelift improved both appearances and my opinion.

Our family loves Pei Wei! We would frequent the Pei Wei restaurants all around the Southern California area and never had a bad experience. The food quality is almost always consistent, there have been a couple times when the food wasn’t as good as usual, but, no big deal, it was still good and the kids love it! When we moved to Amarillo we started going to the one and only Pei Wei here, it was just as good as always. A few months after eating here the service and food quality was really going down hill, I believe it was a manager problem. After taking a few months off from eating at Pei Wei because of the quality problems, we returned and noticed a change of management, and the old Pei Wei was back.
