Typically easy to get parked, except last Friday when to my great surprise, it was completely filled up and I had to park elsewhere. Buffet is usually one of the better ones in the country for Petro. I only park at the Petro in Amarillo, as it’s by far the best in town…

Alright Petro, lots of parking but the lot needs to be repaved. The Iron Skillet was great with nice service.

I’ve eaten at Petros all over the country, but I chose to review this particular one because I was stranded here for three days in my big ol truck when a rare blizzard shut the Amarillo area down tighter than a bull’s ass at fly time.
I like Petros because they’re consistent… the food is good, the premises are clean and the help is helpful. Good showers as well.
They do breakfast right, and I’m a huge fan of their chili burgers. The buffet line is pretty good as well, and I usually avoid truck stop buffies like the plague, especially the ones at Sapp Bros.
By the way, the Unilocal map pointer is WAAAAY off.

Hands down best breakfast buffet in town!
This is a 24 hour truck stop area so be careful parking. #1 item I get here is the menudo soup. Best I ever tasted! Everything else is awesome. It’s never packed when I come but then again, I usually get here around 3am in the morning.
