Went tonight for the first time, amazing! We will definitely be back again. Everyone from staff to customers were all very friendly. You are allowed to take in your beer (we didn’t realize this and tried to order a beer, she said you could bring it in but they didn’t sell it) I looked around and sure enough several folks had brought in a case of beer. The jalapeño sausage was amazing! The calf fries were really good as well. We will be back for sure!

Stopped in to try the brisket, they were out of it and so I settled for chopped beef. Great flavor and tender, not dry. The sausage tastes homemade and was great!
Sides were fair, the mac n cheese was decent but the «fries» were so greasy and soggy that I could only eat the 20% that were crispy… threw out the rest
Overall, worth a visit!

Went here on a Friday night. Got in a minute or so after 9. Unilocal and Google said 10 but the sign said they are open until midnight tonight.
Walked in with our party of 9 and they said «oh we actually just closed early at 9.» Remember, it’s 9:01. They lost the business of a huge party to «save money» by closing early, and lost our goodwill by their «don’t care» attitude despite our hungry kids.
We’re going to be coming back through Amarillo next week again and I know one place we will NOT be eating.

This place serves delicious BBQ. I ordered the rib plate with Virdinski fries and coleslaw. The ribs were flavored nicely. Their pulled pork was also amazing!
Service here was attentive and quick. I really appreciated that they took care of our party.
They’re not getting the 5 stars because our food came out surprisingly cold/​room temperature. My Virdinski fries we’re getting soggy wit no crunch to it. My BBQ was not hot and my onion rings were soft. I was expecting the fries to be crisp and hot… the same with the rest of my meal. I don’t know why it came out that way so I was a little disappointed because it might have been sitting like that for a while. Nevertheless, this place is still worth a try and worth coming back to for BBQ.

Once I heard that the Country Barn was closed but the cook started his own restaurant, I knew this place would serve great food.
The ONION RINGS are the BEST I’ve ever had anywhere, no one has topped them.
The service was nice and pleasant and the steaks were delicious. the reason this review is ⁴⁄₅ stars is the price.
You pay for what you get but I still feel the prices were a little high for the average family/​person going out to eat.
Still really good food.
I would recommend this place for you to give it a shot.

I give it only two stars due to the fact that the bar b que was not all that good. I had pulled pork which was topped with sauce, which was great, maybe it was to help the flavor? I also had the sliced brisket which was good but not much smoke and it was slopped with sauce. The pulled pork was not very warm either. We also had mash potatoes which were red potatoes with cream gravy (skin on). The special fries were just like the fair’s Curley taters. Not bad. A/​c wasn’t working very well at the time but still ok to eat inside. I will try again to see if it’s any better. I have friends that love this place, but they will have to stepped there game up to play on the BBQ world in Amarillo.

Pretty good BBQ in Amarillo. The ribs were good, but the ends of two of mine were cold. I’m not sure how that happens. Either they were stored next to something cold, or cooked, cooled, then re-​heated. Either option is not good.
They also don’t seem to know what brisket is, because what I got when I ordered it was chopped beef, cooked a good bit more than I would have liked.
That said, the mashed potatoes were awesome, and the bacon-​wrapped green beans are excellent (seem like they have some of the rib rub on them).
The onion rings have an unusual taste to them that I’m not sure if I liked or not. The toast you get is fantastic.
They don’t have a liquor license, so they gave us a couple of Miller Lites, which was nice, but we would have preferred to pay for something with actual flavor.
They did their best to decorate it, but it’s still a strip-​mall BBQ place, which is always going to lack the atmosphere of a serious BBQ joint.
Service was fast and friendly, so that’s a plus.

The virdinski’s fries are wonderful & the sliced brisket is some of the best I’ve had. Very flavorful & nice sized portions.
My husband likes the steak & gets it every time we visit.
A must try for locals wanting to try something new.

We stop by here today. We ordered 3 meat plate. (Brisket, pork and ribs) side for sweet poteto fried and bacon wrap green beans. Pork and ribs are very good, brisket was okay I had better one before. Onion rings and sweet poteto fried are very tasty good. Bacon wrapped green beans was nothing special. Service is very good and don’t forget to order banana pudding OMG good.

My new favorite place in town.
This isn’t just a barbeque/​steak house, this is legit cuisine. The real smoke flavors are great and you can tell this place is for real as soon as you walk in because of the smells.
Everything I’ve tried on the menu was great, and the presentation is top notch for a place like Amarillo. Let’s hope our restaurant-​going public doesn’t let this place slip through their hands like we do with most restaurants who show a little flair for being different.

Delicious BBQ, friendly and prompt service, clean. We liked the jalapeño popper appetizer (not breaded! Yay!). My husband had the ribs, I had pulled pork, and the kids had the burgers. All was delicious.

Delish! Fast, friendly service. Brisket is wonderful and one of the best hamburgers ever! Mac & cheese wasn’t so great but everything else was so good it was easy to overlook!
Loved the banana pudding too!

Blackened catfish was delicious, as we’re the bacon-​wrapped green beans. Also, my son’s American fries were fantastic!

BBQ was so good! I had brisket and my husband had ribs and sausage! Everything was delicious! The bacon wrapped green beans were yummy! Owner was very nice and waitstaff was too! Can’t wait to go back and try a steak!

Best BBQ in town! The brisket is so tender & the ribs fall off the bone too. They also have an awesome cobbler. This is a must try!

I am a master KCBS JUDGE the best thing about this joint was our server a real sweetie. the food was way below average. All over cooked and not a hint of smoke. Sides were over done or too runny. No beer and not much to cheer about either. Really a big disappointment. Ribs had fat that was not cooked out but we’re mushy. Pork was dry and nondescript.
I would rather go to Arby’s and get pork. This place is going to fail don’t waste your time.

Amazing BBQ :) the place was very slow as my family were the only customers there so I felt a little worried that it wasn’t going to be that good but it turned out to be excellent. Barbara was our server and she was so sweet & very attentive. We came a long way for some Texas BBQ and this place hit the spot!

Nice ambiance and great service. Wasn’t too busy when we ate just after 4:00 pm on a Monday.
Barb was our server and what a kind, sweetheart of a woman. She recommended the 3 meat barbecue platter and… Well, I posted a picture that speaks for itself. Only bones left! We wanted some Texas barbecue as we are from indiana and this place delivered!!!
