Hell yeah! We all got the spicy cajun bowl –3 of us. And one for the spicy shrimp ½ order. Everyone of us was impressed. It was just the right amount of spicy not overly hot but really great flavor. The Cajun bowls were on special and we were happy with the price for the amount and quality of food. Crab shrimp sausage potatoes and two rolls were in each one. It is our new favorite place to eat. It does look a little rough on the out side but it was 100% worth it. The wait was worth it all of it was well worth it. There is only 1 server so I suggest if you are drinking beer order two at time.

I enjoy it. Good food ., only one server kind of cold. She just a order taker. Refill forget it. You need to ask. Then you feel bad for asking. But I go back. I just leave $ 2.00 tip. No really table service. Reg’s go there a lot !!

Lunch review-Schrimp Creole is amazing as are the hush puppies. Tried to eat here Tuesday night, small place, long wait. It would have been worth the wait.

Visited last night for the first time. Dive place. Locals seem to love it. Ordered catfish dinner, which was great! Not greasy at all. Big portion. Came with fries, slaw, a few hush puppies. Cousin had a huge bowl of gumbo. Also very very tasty. Beers served in the bottle with a brown paper bag. Overall great experience. I’ll definitely be back.

Review: Scott’s Oyster Bar Date: 9÷3÷15 Time: 8:00pm First off… if you don’t know where you’re going, you will never find this hidden gem! It’s located just off Paramount(Western/45th area). The building is super small with a very«divey» feel… just like most solid coastal oyster bars. Seating inside for approx. 30 and a small patio. The interior is exactly what I’d expect; a hodgepodge of memorabilia from sports to fish to neon beer signs. The«kitchen» is really just a quaint little like located directly in the dining room(with a counter«window» divide). Music jamming from a stereo that is perched in the corner of the room fills the place with tunes. The menu is small, direct, and straight forward. Mostly seafood… and of course… oysters on the half shell. A huge trough of iced longnecks just begging to be drank… I opted for the night’s special feature: Shrimp Creole A succulent, slightly spicy dish of sauteed shrimp in a tomato and Cajun-spiced sauce. Served with steamed rice and bread. Nic had the Popcorn Shrimp(because she’s super adventurous). wink emoticon Great quality product. Not the type of cheap shrimp that looks good but the breading is 80% of the bite. This popcorn shrimp was delicious. Served with fries, hushpuppies, and coleslaw.(and of course cocktail sauce) So…I’m not sure why this is the first time we’ve tried this place, but I can say this… it most certainly will NOT be our last. There’s a pretty good chance that I’ll eat there again within a week… Overall: A+(and check my record… this is the top score given!) Ambiance: A Service: A+ FOOD: A+ Price: A+ IFYOUDON’T KNOWABOUTSCOTT’S OYSTERBAR… SHAMEONYOU! I DIDN’T EITHERUNTILLASTNIGHT, ANDNOW… I’M HOOKED.

A small shack that serves up fresh seafood and cold drinks. Today(Monday’s) special is ½ off boiled shrimp so my co-worker and I ordered that along with full order of oysters. Probably one of the best and freshest oysters I’ve had in a very long time. Great workers and a chill vibe. Even the other customers were all friendly and welcoming. A place I would recommend.

The oysters on the half shelves were really good and super fresh. We also tried the fried shrimps with fries, cole slaws and hushpuppies as sides and they tasted great too. Would love to come again except for the fact that it’s quite pricey

The owner served us himself, and he was very polite and courteous. He made sure we had everything we needed! We ate outside, since it was such a beautiful day. The food was really good! I will definitely eat there again, very soon!

Of course locals eat here… it is practically the only seafood place in town — besides Red Lobster. In any other town, this dump with horrible food would be out of business in a week. You figure the staff would try to be helpful and courteous to make up for its numerous shortcomings, but no… If anyone says this place is good has never eaten even decent seafood.

The food is amazing! Freshest seafood in town. The oysters are the best I’ve ever tasted. Peep and eat shrimp are half priced on Mondays and Tuesday. What a great deal.

A bit on the small side and a smaller menu only add to this seafood shack’s charm. You can’t go wrong with fried catfish or creole and their hushpuppies are amazing but it’s the shrimp that takes spotlight. Simply the best you can get in town. Great spot for a lunch or afternoon beer and snack. Dinner gets a little crowded but, that just goes to so you how keeping it simple keeps it great.

We visited Scott’s per the recommendation of a friend. We loved the atmosphere but woke the next day with food poisoning. We thought the shrimp looked a little fishy… I supposed we should be skeptical about seafood that is nowhere near the coast– it can’t be that fresh, right?

The place is extremely small, so if you plan on going, make sure you only go in a small group. There aren’t many choices for seafood in Amarillo, so this is probably one of the few places you can find a variety of seafood. Because of this, prices are pretty expensive. When I went, a half dozen raw oysters were about $ 10 and a dozen was about $ 18. Completely out of my price range. The food was good however. Stuffed crab tasted like Thanksgiving stuffing with a hint of crab. The fried catfish and fried oysters were delicious!

I lived in Amarillo for a little over a year, and this place was my favorite in the town. I almost want to road-trip to Amarillo just for the food — here and a few others. This place was right around the corner from my work, and people were always talking about it. Once I tried it, I was hooked and ate there once or twice a week. I’m actually not too familiar with their regular menu because they have daily specials, and those are the ones to get. My fav was definitely the fried alligator platter they had on Fridays. You could order either lunch or dinner size… and the dinner portion provided two large meals. They also had a ‘Cajun bowl’ on Saturday, which consisted of crab legs, shrimp, corn on the cob, hush puppies and dirty rice. All of that in a bowl(maybe I’m forgetting something) and covered with spicy seasoning. I would usually get my food to go, but eating there is an experience. Nostalgic decorations everywhere, fun to see everything. However, the place is tiny, and I wouldn’t recommend dining in during lunch or dinner rush. Food quality here is great, service is good and friendly, reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Here’s my key test of an Amarillo restaurant: Do locals eat there? For Scott’s, the answer is an easy ‘Yes.’ BUT Scott’s is a classic example of a place where atmosphere bolsters OK food. The dining room is super small and is lined with various pictures(mainly of Scott) and Houston memorabilia. There is also a small patio dining area that is always popular – but especially so during the summer evenings when the dining room is too hot. The food, though always fresh, is just OK. Amarillo doesn’t have much at all to choose from in the way of seafood, but if you’ve been to oyster bars in other cities(like, say, Houston) you have probably had better.
