First of all, don’t expect anything fancy. This place is authentic Mexican. Floor is a tad dirty, wait service is slightly disorganized, and it’s a bit cramped when full. That being said, I got the stuffed pineapple with shrimp, pasta, and some big chunks of calamari that should’ve been sliced(someone was lazy in the kitchen). My dish was a 2⁄5. Looked great on Facebook, looked blah in person. The other people at my table had the mocajete platters which looked awesome and they were delicious. Over all, it’s a place I’ll come back to. But don’t hold high standards on service and appearance.

Convenient location if downtown. Went at noon and got right in to a table. Waiter came fpod quickly and took my order. Food arrived after a short time. Chicken tacos were ok but nothing special. They charged a dollar more for two than the regular orde of 3. Didn’t fuss, just got my coke to go, paid and left. Probably won’t return

Barbacoa Plate: Beans and rice were nothing special and the barbacoa was on the greasy side. Wife ordered fajitas that were okay but not great Place was busy so service wasnt the greatest but i understand that. Also not on the cleaner side, but I’ve come to expect that from Amarillo. DECIDER: Had some rough diarrhea for the next 16 hours. Wife and I shared all food except barbacoa so thats my best guess. Its a slow cooked meat thats made ahead of time so maybe it was really old. If so, very disappointing. Or maybe i cant do Mexican food anymore. This place was a let down, heard good things. In their defense I think the grilled seafood dishes may be there strength, but I’m allergic to seafood so I’ll leave that to someone else

Average I would say sums this place up. Although none of the food was bad, none was great and it was bland. The service needs a great deal of work, had empty drinks, wrong orders(and not like forgot a side or request but straight up not even what was ordered, order a relleno got an enchilada plate only one other table in restaurant and two in my party, no one in the place ordered enchiladas even and it was mid afternoon). Have had worse but this place needs work.

Really good! Great food and great service. The fajita meat is marinated to PERFECTION! And the beans are so yummy Chips are homemade, salsa is delicious! They have an even hotter salsa upon request. The restaurant is kind of run-down, but it’s authentic! Authentic West-coast Mexican food :)

It really bothers me when local, family-owned spots disappoint. Their livelihood depends on their business, and when they just can’t seem to get it together it really makes me sad. We decided to try the place early one evening(during the week) because my wife LOVES good, authentic Mexican cuisine. Here’s my breakdown: Chips and Salsa: [FAIL] Chips were stale, and bland. Salsa tasted fishy(literally like fish) and was room temperature. Beer: [FAIL] Nearly room temperature, and served in styrofoam(which gave it an odd taste). Margarita: [FAIL] Watered down sour mix… Cuisine: [eh…C-] Tacos al Carbon(which I ordered because it’s hard to mess up) was tough and bland. Enchiladas were possibly the best thing we had there(which isn’t saying much, and compared to other establishments in town weren’t very good). Overall: We won’t be back. And I sincerely hope that they get things together…

Pretty good we ordered the chalupas and combination plate. Salsa is nice and HOT! I think I can make better chalupas at home and enchiladas. I will go back just not a favorite. Kind of «old El Paso» seasoning. Don’t even use that at home. But it’s not terrible definitely eatable
