The catfish was excellent! Nice big portion too. The fries are large cut and the beans were very good too. My wife had the shrimp, she loved them too. We will definitely be returning to Fat Cat! The staff was very friendly and helpfull

Good food overall, certain things on the menu are a over priced, but fillets are good size, catfish nuggets and planks are worth the price, So more than anything food is worth the money before you go and waist money on food thats not quality, staff is always friendly. If you want catfish and don’t wanna cook it this is the place to go

Been years since I’ve been there. Went there this last Friday, still outstanding. My 11 year old Granddaughter had catfish filets and ate 4 of them. The filets where huge compared to most places, and the service was fast and very friendly. Gary, who owns the place was just as friendly as I remember from last time 8 years ago. Wife had grilled catfish and loved it. Can’t wait to get back.

Fried catfish is a must! I ordered the 10-​piece and it came with fries and hush puppies. So good! I also ordered the Cajun pot, but wasn’t thrilled. The staff, at that time, didn’t know how to cook it and willingly admitted it to me. But they still tried. They fried the catfish and then seasoned it. Big no-​no in my book, but an A for effort to the staff.
I definitely would go back for the fried catfish and maybe try some other fried shrimps or something.
It’s pretty sketchy, though, and a little hard to find. If you’re not on the look out for it, you could easily miss it!

Delicious! Hush puppies are to die for. The hot sauce is amazing and the service is spot on. Fries are not frozen which is a rarity with most places.

if you want good down home catfish this is the place. I’m not real ya catfish eater but this is unbelievably good fish. Try it, u’ll love it.

Best catfish I have ever had, by far!!! I don’t like fried catfish, but I love it grilled. Fat Cats makes the most amazing grilled blackened catfish ever! Sadly, I have to think twice before going there, though, as the ventilation is horrible. I ended up smelling like burned grease and had to go home and immediately shower. If they would install better ventilation, we would probably eat there once a week. As is, I think we will just call in our order to pick up. Don’t change the catfish recipe, but an open window or two wouldn’t hurt.

I wrote i would never go back. I have been back several times. It is the best catfish in town, its just that they have zero ventilation and the service is painfully slow. Dollar beer help pass the time.

If you like fresh cat fish this is the place. Upon walking in we found the atmosphere very inviting, its bigger then it looks with seating of 50 or more in two room and a new out door patio. The staff was so nice they took us back to see the live fish, Whoo nice big channle cats now thats fresh fish. you got to chech this place out

A recent visit on a busy Friday night proved once again that Fat Cat has the best catfish and shrimp in town. The breading on the shrimp is really delicious and the fish was cooked to perfection. The beans were especially good, as were the cole slaw and fries. My only request: sweet tea! Definitely worth a visit.
