The steaks and prime rib are good. I am not a fan of loud music and a nightclub atmosphere at a steakhouse, though. The whole peanuts on the floor gag is really not sanitary… food on the floor draws unsavory types of vermin. I’ve had more than a few people in Amarillo say this is their favorite steakhouse. The steak is not THAT good, and you can readily find the same quality at other chains in town workout blaring Country music. Yes, I know, «Road House». But do yourself a favor on steak night and go to a «Steak House» instead, and you might actually be able to talk to the people you’re there with.

Best steak in Amarillo, I have never had a bad steak and the service is always good. The time before last I did find a 2 wire off the grill brush and the Manager didn’t seem too concerned. I will continue to eat there anyway.

You can’t beat the Texas Roadhouse for the cactus blossom onion. Great food here. Awesome atmosphere. If you see one in your travels… stop. Even if you have eaten already, just stop. Stuff yourself with this great food.

We have eaten here twice as well as their other restaurants in Lubbock, TX and Corona, CA. Both times here at the Amarillo location, our food has been amazing. I had the 16 oz. prime ribs twice and they were both delicious. When ordering steaks or prime ribs in TX, keep in mind that they cook them a little more well-done than in California. I guess we like them a little more raw in CA. The rolls with honey butter is simply delicious. The service is pretty good considering how crowded they get.

Was doing a Ruffles and Rust ahow here a few months back, went to this place the 1st night and got the 16oz prime rib, It was AMAZING!!! In fact it was so good my friends and I went back the very next night and had the exact same thing all over again. Wonderful attentive servers and amazing food A++++ all the way. I will definitely be coming back!

The food is good ! Consider the price point… maybe I should have left 4 stars. The staff and service at this location is great… on point! Only negative is that the steak fries as well as the white gravy need more flavor. I’d still come back and try something different. I’d say give this place a try :-)

The food never disappoints here! The steak is always cooked exactly as asked. The sides are delicious, and the rolls with honey cinnamon butter are the BEST! I only gave four stars because it’s a little too loud and rowdy for my liking.

The medium rare prime rib I had here was the best steak I have eaten in my entire life! It was juicy, tender, and flavorful. I had it with onions, mushrooms, au jus, and horseradish. Their caesar salad is also delicious! I will stop her every trip.

Loved this place– prices were affordable for our family; Sunday was happy hour all day -$ 3 tall draft domestic and $ 2.50 house margs. Enjoyed rolls with cinn butter to start, steak, shrimp, ½ rack ribs, Caesar salad. Downside is the ribs only come 1 way(no dry rub available)… kids meals were about $ 6& there was variety. Recommend this for families, date night, friends.

Not bad, but I was disappointed with my new York strip steak. there was a lot of inedible gristle. The service was ok.

Food was good. I had the country fried steak. Delish. Michelle had the grilled shrimp and again it was great. Big portions here so come hungry. And everybody in Amarillo must celebrate their birthday at roadhouse. There were at least five b-day celebrations while we were eating. The place was really busy and the servers were really taking care of business. Good job, Shelby.

I was disappointed in our visit to Texas Roadhouse this weekend. As a past employee at one of the locations in Kansas, I hold my favorite restaurant chain to high standards. We had a group of five people total and luckily the hostess was able to seat us right away. I was excited to dig into the fresh baked rolls, only to find out that they were cold :(The best part about Texas Roadhouse is slathering honey cinnamon butter onto a nice hot roll and having it melt in your mouth. We order a round of appetizers: Catus Blossom and Rattlesnake Bites. Both were good. When we came around to ordering, we all ordered steaks. I choose the ribeye and grilled shrimp combo because I was in the mood for the garlic butter on the shrimp. I like to dip my roll into that as well. When the food arrived, my ribeye looked more like a NY Strip and was extremely tough. Each bite took a few minutes to chew, so I finally gave up and sent it back. The waitress took the steak and one of my sides back to the kitchen. They brought me a new steak that was cooked perfectly, but by then, everyone was done eating. When I was working at Roadhouse, to make up for a returned dish, we sent out a new side along with it. This ensured that at least one of the sides was hot to eat along with the entrée. No such luck. So, I ate my perfectly cooked steak with my cold shrimp and cold baked potato. Texas Roadhouse does it better in Kansas.

Saturday 7pm, crowded at the door way entry, with a 30 minute wait time… but there are barrels of complimentary peanuts while you wait and at your dinner table too(just drop your shells on the floor and they won’t get mad either… the floors are covered with peanut shells). It is the evening before Easter Sunday and maybe there are many visiting Amarillo too? Jeans, boots and stensons are the norm here. They offer hand-cut steaks,(you pick your cut) fall-off-the-bone ribs, made-from-scratch sides, and fresh-baked bread… larger portions too. Courtesy customer service. 73.71

Just had an outstanding ribeye steak today. Great rolls with the cinnamon butter and the loaded baked potato didn’t dissappoint either but, the real winner was the service. We didn’t wait long for our steaks and the refills just kept coming. Our waitress, Mckalee(I believe was her name) was just on point from begining to end. Each year when I visit Amarillo, we usually hit up the«Big Texan» however, the last 3 years, we have seen that place decline in service and increase in price. Now, our fav steak place, is the Texas Road house. See you next week!

From the minute we stepped in great service that alone is a rarity now days. Friendly staff. Drinks were on the table within minutes along with the wAter I forgot to ask for. Extra star for mind reading ability! Food was delicious. Cactus blossom was tasty and my chicken was excellent. I heard no complaints from anyone which was a nice change. Steaks were all on point. No sauce required. They looked a bit to bloody for my taste but I like mine well done. But according to everyone delicious ! My hurricane margarita with patron kicker was very yummy! Wish I had time for seconds or thirds for drinks :)

My favorite steak house in Amarillo. They consistently put out a good steak. 10oz ribeye is my favorite and the Blue Moon is always cold! House salad is what it’s supposed to be and the rolls are addictive. They have Call-Ahead which is a good idea on busy nights. My first recommendation for affordable steak here in Amarillo.
