Flatbread is incredible! I’ve been coming here since I was in high school when this location opened in the late 90’s. It was great then and it’s only gotten better with time! Here are some of their high points for great dining experience: ATMOSPHERE– This is a truly beautiful spot for a restaurant located within an old 1800’s mill building. The exposed brick and wood beams give it such a rustic and old school vibe. The wood fired stone oven is awesome! It adds such a nice ambiance. FOOD– It’s delicious! I’ve never had a flatbread here that I didn’t enjoy. Everything is always so fresh and cooked to perfection. So good! While it’s not exactly mandatory to me that I eat organic and 100% natural foods, I do love that they use ingredients that are. My favorite flatbread here is the Mopsy’s Kahlua Pork Pie… a delicious combination of slow cooked pulled pork, pineapple, red onions, on top of a slightly spicy BBQ sauce. It tastes like heaven! SERVICE– Everyone here is extremely pleasant and happy to serve you. It looks like they truly love their jobs which is a great sign that the business is being managed by great people. MENU– It’s so simple and basic. They have salads and flatbread pizza. They stick to what they know and they know how to make it incredible. They have a couple different specials each day which the waitstaff will explain before you order. They will definitely customize any of their flatbreads to how you want them so feel free to ask for something that you might want. Next time you’re in Amesbury give Flatbread a try! Especially if it’s on a Tuesday night because they donate 10% of all sales from 5PM to close to a different organization or charity.

The self promoting menu should add another«free» item to the gluten, range, and other feel good ingredients — «flavor free». Then again, I do feel so much better about the treatment the chicken received before being decapitated and eviscerated.

Stopped in on a Friday mid-afternoon and it was a beautiful afternoon outdoors. We had two Labradors with us and asked if we could sit outside on the picnic tables with our dogs, the hostess happily obliged. We started with the organic salad which had a very good house dressing followed by two small pizzas: the homemade sausage and chicken con carne. The chicken con carne was fabulous, the chicken was tender with roasted corn, black beans — a very unique mix of flavors on pizza. My friend preferred the sausage which I thought was good but the sausage felt almost minced. I prefer chunks of sausage but it was still good. Can’t wait to return to try other pizzas!

I’ll give them 4.5 stars. Pizza was thin crusted, smokey flavored, & organic as advertised. We were seated immediately, I got an organic and crunchy vibe from this place. I’ve attended the flatbread in Portland, ME and I loved it. The pizza is all made from local and organic ingredients. My wife ordered the pulled pork with BBQ sauce, which we shared. Great pizza, wood oven cooked, kept in the oven a shade too long, crust was crunchy, but good. I had a Whale Tale IPA that was very good. Bar is right there when you walk in nestled in the cool yet sleepy town of Amesbury.

We live in Amesbury, and don’t go it to eat often(I love to cook). Too many times, going out to eat ends in disappointment. Flatbread never disappoints… ever. There is a long waiting list for those who want to work here, all employees seem to love it here and that carries over to their service. The salads are crisp and refreshing and every single pizza we’ve had there has been a winner. We usually get a Jay’s Heart and a special. I very rarely get dessert when eating out, but I never miss the warm, decadent brownie with ice cream, it’s big enough to share. Amazing! Something else that’s very special about Flatbread Pizza… they give back to the community. Tuesday nights, they help raise money for a cause… a local sports team for instance. I saw there were some small negative comments, some are impossible to please. «The pepperoni was ‘blah’». It’s called organic pepperoni and isn’t full of all the crap you’re used to, this is better. If you don’t like something, let them know so they can fix it, don’t give a negative comment. They would happily fix something you don’t care for although, don’t expect them to put anything processed, including pepperoni, on your pizza… you’ll have to go somewhere else for that. We have many places from which to choose when deciding where to eat out and always choose Flatbread. This is place is amazing.

I had a pepperoni pizza. While the crust and sauce were good, the pepperoni was so lackluster that I’d never go back. Any place that would serve pepperoni that tastes as blah as that is not a place I’d risk trying anything else.

Great local spot. Pizza is excellent, salads are a little pricey buy local and fresh and even the small splits well for a couple. We’ve been a few times and service varies. They hire pretty young staff and for some it must be their first time serving. It’s never really been an issue but there have been some lengthy waits and a few mistakes, but that’s life.

Bullseye on hip food and ambience. We were a group of 8 so we got a large salad for the table(yummy dressing on greens topped with seaweed). Chicken pizza topped with sour cream and jalepenos. Beet pizza. Cheese pizza for kids. All outstanding. Crust is right on the money. Get the trio desserts — but my fave is the brownie, wow.

I love flatbread. It’s the go-to place when I just want casual with the kids. Amesbury is the closest for me and I have also been to Hampton and Portsmouth. Good pizza, salad and beer, what more do you need?

It has great pizza(fresh ingredients, locally grown ingredients) but only if your willing to spend an arm & a leg to eat there. Their salads are yummy & the overall ambiance is pretty cool & inviting.

Hot pizza. Friendly young staff. They make the pizza in the brick oven in front of you at the back of the restaurant. Good selection of beers. The amesbury pizza is good. It’s got carmelize onion and mushrooms and the sought is crispy on edges and soft in middle. I wish the middle of was a bit more crisp. Sauce could use bit more flavor. I will be back. Great place to hang out with friends and bring people as its a good experience.

In four words: Cool venue, delicious pizza. My wife, toddler, and I stopped here on the way home on a Saturday afternoon. We wanted something quick(but also something quality) before nap time(the toddler’s, not ours) and this was perfect. The friendly service was speedy, the beer list gave us plenty of solid options, and the transparent cooking experience was unique. The food, though, was the highlight. We got two smalls(plain cheese and carmelized onion & pepperoni, and didn’t leave a crumb. The toddler, picky about meat, couldn’t stop stealing the scrumptious, crusty pepperoni. For $ 35, which included a couple beers, we couldn’t have been happier. We’ll most certainly be back if we’re in the area again.

So I took this really cool girl here and well I was a bit skeptical because, you know, it’s just pizza right? WRONG?! Definitely a top ranking brick oven pizza if I do say so myself! We ordered half of the Jimmy’s Free-range Chicken and half of some kind that the pork and BBQ sauce. That sauce though ugh. Saving this in the ol’ mental cabinet for sure. On a serious note all natural organic ingredients are utilized. Very welcoming warm ambiance. I highly recommend this gem!

I might be a little bias because I grew up surfing with some of the guys from Flatbreads. Super conscious ingredient selections and comfy community vibes. I’ve been eating at this location since they opened. Likewise, had the pleasure of visiting some of their other locations in Hampton, NH, Portland, ME and even the one in Maui. I’m a fan of the pork but by vegan uncle always leaves satisfied when he joins me. It’s a chill family vibe. Yes, a bit more expensive then your typical pizza joint but FB is far from typical. They do cut their flatbreads(pizza) funny but I’m one of those weird fork and knife pizza eaters so it never bothered me. Nice little beer and wine selection.

This was a great find for my family as we went the other night for the first time. I am trying to eat healthier and this restaurant uses only natural and organic ingredients. I found the menu to be easy to understand and the atmosphere very calm and relaxing. The pizza oven, with its orange glowing fire is beautiful and the speed with which pizzas cook is amazing. I had a small Amesbury Community Flatbread — Our wood-fired cauldron tomato sauce, organic caramelized onions, organic mushrooms, premium whole milk mozzarella and imported Parmesan cheese baked on organic bread dough with homemade garlic oil, sprinkled with our own blend of organic herbs at $ 11.25 My mother and my daughter had a large cheese pizza which was also very good. My mother and I also shared a salad consisting of the following: Organic mesclun and organic sweet leaf lettuces tossed with organic celery and carrots, toasted sesame seeds, Maine sea kelp and our homemade ginger-tamari vinaigrette. They cut the pizzas in an very interesting way and I am not sure why but it created for a conversation at the table while we devoured the pizzas. We will be back!

What a great find in the little town of Amesury, Massachusetts. A delightful twist on the pizza idea, organic ingredients on a hand thrown flatbread crust, fired in a giant wood burning stove before your eyes. Some reviews say this is a chain, I don’t know if this is true as the place has loads of character, and our waitress(C.) was very nice. Set in an old cotton mill building on a fast moving river that used to power water wheels to drive the machinery. Reminiscent of the old ills in Trowbridge, England.
