My first Saturday out here was subpar at best. H2O was featuring DJ2 seconds lol. I was waiting for the bass to drop but their speakers had no bass to drop in them. So instead of waiting for the bass to drop I went to my truck and grabbed my ear plugs to stop the bleeding of my ears. YOLO!

Music is way tooooooo loud! Coupeville residents would say this is the loudest thing they have ever heard. I can’t hear myself think here, it’s a miracle that I was able to get these words out of my mouth. I should probably check my ears for hearing loss after tonight, where were the earplugs at the door??? Does obamacare cover hearing loss from this establishment? If not, we will see what scotus says about this. All else being equal, a motorcycle gang was here spreading their world hatred, not cool h2o, not cool.

When in Anacortes on a Saturday night you have to go here. They always have live music with cover of 3 – 5 $. Great bands, always a something a little different. We have had some of the food and I would say it is a 4 for bar food. The drinks are hit and miss and you dont always get the pour you are asking for so watch it as the night goes on. GREATMUSIC

I really enjoy h20 as a bar and dance establishment but they also have really great food!!! Their daily specials are a great value as well. This place still seems to have a rough reputation because of when it was Watertown… But give it a chance and eat, drink and be merry there!!! Tony is a fantastic bartender and he always remembers my name. Their garlic fries are the best, too.

Not that the service is bad and the bar tenders are great. But and a big but. How in the hell do you charge someone who shows up at 10:15 charge them 5 dollars for a cover for the band and the band is done by 1030. Bad show will not return.

We love the food at H2O! The menu is reasonably priced and every dish we have tried is delicious. The staff can be hit or miss. We brought family in a couple months ago and were met with a huffy waitress who slammed glasses of water down on the table, advising us she was the only waitress on shift(two other tables were occupied). After 10 minutes of waiting to order drinks, we left. However, my husband and I returned another day for the awesome food. I couldn’t stop myself from eating my entire bacon burger and fries.

Never going back wanted some food hear it was ok my husband and I took some friends that wanted to continue drinking there. Bouncer was an dick my husband had to look for his ID in a large pack of cards and kept dropping them so I picked them up. Having extremely bad allergies I got dizzy picking them up a couple times. He says we had to much to drink and can’t come in after he let or drunk friends in. Yeah… we hadn’t even drank. The bouncer is a dick and I will not be going back. If it wasn’t for the fact that he can’t do he’s job right, the fact that he’s letting people smoke right at the door. I also have asthma so I actually had to hold my breath just to not have a attack. I will not be going back after all that and will never be telling anyone to go there.

Great house infused, funky drinks, the jalapeño margarita is spicy and yummy! Good bands, small dance floor but it only adds to the intimate vibe. Food is good and reasonably priced.

The food and drinks were good. 3 out of 4 in our group ordered fish and chips. The fish was very good but i really thought for dinner we should have had at least 3 pieces of fish. The two on our plates were all of medium size and we all were left wanting more! for $ 16 dollars I think they could put another piece on the plate or use larger cuts! The drinks were well made and tasty so a good balance of alcohol.

Little gem at the end of the road in old town Anacortes. Fun locals tav by day. Hipsters dance club and live tunes by night. Solid selection of regional brews. Be sure to check out their gin and vodka fusions!

Everyone talks about how bad the food is… This is a bar! If you want gourmet food go to Frida’s or Anthony’s. If you want to have a good time and dance come here! Closest Seattle-type bar you’ll get within 30 miles!

A sweet couple who had just gotten married were not allowed in to the place with some of their friends. None of them appeared inebriated or were obnoxious. The doorman was unnecessarily rude to them. They may have some sort of policy about just married people, but the jerk at the door didn’t bother explaining. He was just mean.

Great variety of beers, in house infused alcohol, and great food! Every time I’ve been here they’ve had good music playing thanks to their DJs! I went last weekend and saw Ralph Porter who was absolutely hilarious! Love that they’re now having comedy nights. Can’t wait for Aprils! Place is clean and tidy and servers have always been attentive. Overall a great place for weekdays or weekends!

Yes, I was forced back to watch a band and hadn’t had dinner. I had the chicken tacos this time(first time it was a burger, second nachos). The tacos were good. My girlfriend had the BLT but they used maple or some sweeter style bacon which was NOT good on a BLT. Due to the BLT, the burger and nachos, still keeping it a two. If you like maple style bacon on a burger or BLT, your mileage may vary…

I like the burgers here, very creative. Service is friendly and the place is clean, including the bathrooms. Beer special on Tuesdays.

Come here all the time for drinks now, they infuse their own liquors(ginger gin!) so they have a really exotic and beautiful specialty cocktails list. We mainly go there for the drinks(Monday night Trivia, and $ 2 off Tuesdays — the bomb!). The food is pretty tasty, but a bit overpriced in my opinion. It’s nice if you have a few people to split a plate of food — and the bill. Live music — check Dance floor — check Super friendly staff — check! Very clean bathrooms — mega check! nuff said.

I’ve been to H2O several times since its renovation from the old Watertown. I really love the relaxing atmosphere and more importantly, the food and drinks they are serving. One evening I had the most ginormous hamburger I’ve ever seen and it was delicious! I’d say it’s really a meal for 2(it truly is), but I ate it all myself… oops! That along with the awesome Helles they serve from Anacortes Brewery… ah! Amazing. I’ve also had their Twice Baked Potatoes, and what I expected vs. what I received were two totally different things. I expected small, maybe bite-sized, potatoes with a little potato and cheese, etc. inside. What I received were giant russets, filled with all the goodness that twice baked potatoes SHOULD have! Cheese, sour cream, chives, bacon. This is listed as an appetizer and it’s seriously a meal. That said, it’s also a great value for someone going in on a smaller budget since this will really fill you up. Can’t wait to go back!

Big improvement to Anacortes nightlife as H2O opened on Jan 24, 2012 after a major renovation of the large Watertown space on Commercial Ave. Rick Star, bassist-singer for Bobby Holland And The Breadline and manager and part-owner of The Rockfish next door, is now the same for H2O, a new bar/club/eatery that opens at 3pm. The Watertown, a long time well-worn blue collar bar/restaurant had regularly hosted live music on Fridays up to a few years ago, but continued with DJ. Pretty much the same lay out, but H2O brings new furnishings, restrooms, TVs, staff, stage and 24 beers on tap. I haven’t tried the food. The improvements were enjoyed by a big crowd, Saturday Jan 28, the first night of live music, provided by Seattle rock cover band, R Factor 5. With The Rockfish and Brown Lantern, H20 brings downtown back to three places with regular live music, replacing the loss of the Star Bar and its live music a couple years ago. Kudos to Rick and best of luck.
