From the moment you walk in the staff here treats you like family. This is an authentic quaint Italian restaurant. There’s patio dining with string lights which is perfect for hosting a small party of 15 people. It is also a romantic spot for date night. The Mozzarella in Carrozza was a solid Deep fried mozzarella served in marinara sauce. It was pretty standard. The Ravioli Taffina in vodka sauce was really good. The Tortellini All’Emiliana, made with ham and mushroom, was outstanding. From the sauce, to the thick curled pieces of ham and the wonderful doughy bags of cheese, I will forever remember that dish.

This place is awesome. Small, yet great atmosphere and reasonably priced. Food is great. Owner gave us free ice cream for my birthday — very personable. We will be back!

This place is such a hidden gem. I can be a snob when it comes to Italian food so I would never think to Unilocal an Italian restaurant in Anaheim Hills as I’ve been to the BEST Italian restaurants and I don’t care to consume so many calories on something subpar. When my brother brought us here for dinner a few months ago I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is small and intimate and the service has always been great. I always like to order their specials. But every thing from the pastas to the steaks, fish and chicken have been solid dishes. My daughter who is ridiculously picky LOVES the mac & cheese they make her. So that speaks volumes lol.

If you’re looking for quality Italian and conscientious wait staff, this is the place for you. The dining area is intimate. The servers came around often to refill drinks and ask if we had questions/were ready/needed anything. I had the calamari as an appetizer. Delicious! It had a lightness to it with perfect crunch. For my main course, I had ravioli stuffed with shrimp. Scrumptious! Just the right amount of food. Five large raviolis swimming in a tasty vodka sauce, with asparagus and garnished with herbs and Parmesan cheese. Overall, great dining experience. I left feeling quite satisfied. The visit and banter with the manager was pleasant, too!

Tucked away in a little shopping off of Lakeview and the 91 Fwy is this quaint little restaurant. The food is wonderful, and the service is always amazing here! I really like coming here for dinner with my family or right after school with my son. The owner, Vittorio, is kind and treats us like family. We also enjoy hearing stories about his Italian homeland. The food is always great here. Although everything I’ve eaten here has been really good, I especially like the chicken parm. What’s really nice is that you can tell Vittorio what you’re craving, and they’ll make something just for you! I love this little restaurant. With its wonderful food and service so great that you always feel like family, Baci will remain our favorite spot for Italian food!

Can’t say enough positive things. The food was magnificent. Our table had the veal chop, the seafood pappardelle and the seafood risotto. We also had a lovely appetizer plate with artichokes and burrata that was exquisite. The service was fantastic. Vittorio waited on us and he was welcoming and charming. This is a place that’s in a strip mall. I had second thoughts until we got inside. Lovely ambiance. I’ll be back. This was as good as some of the food we’ve had in Italy.

My brother was coming to town and he bragged that he was great at picking good restaurants. Turns out his girlfriend actually found this place. It is a little hard to find, but very much worth it. I read some of the other reviews, and I can’t believe some of the comments. What is wrong with these people? The food was great, the service was excellent, and the owner was born to run a restaurant! I wish I had asked his name, but the owner made us feel not only welcome, but like he had been looking forward to our visit. He, the waiter, and the waitresses all worked to make our meal enjoyable. We shared some garlic bread and, despite what another commenter said, the cheese was not rubbery. It was a generous amount, the garlic was very nice, the oil was just the right amount. In short, it started our meal off well. I don’t remember what the others had(this was a few weeks ago, on 4÷22÷16), but I had the Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. This was GREAT!!! It was a large enough portion so that you didn’t feel like you only ate half a meal(as some of the more expensive restaurants do), but not so much that you were stuffed if you finished it all. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I even had a chance to try a new beer here. California Kolsch from Ballast Point Brewing is a very smooth and flavorful beer. It says it is an ale, but it doesn’t have the bitterness that I associate with most ales. To sum up: this is an excellent restaurant, with good food, great service, and a friendly owner who is adept at reading his audience. He was able to treat each of the four of us in a manner to which we would respond best, not going overboard with the less outgoing, not flirting inappropriately, but being friendly and outgoing.

Have enjoyed this wonderful restaurant many times. It is intimate, quiet, a hidden gem! The food is superb, service is very good. I highly recommend! Tonight enjoyed Atlantic salmon over Italian rice and lemon with vegetables. Great place for a romantic dinner, or a special dinner with friends or business associates. Vittorio, as always Baci rocks it! If you have not enjoyed a romantic meal here you are missing out on a true little gem!

Very attentive staff, small intimate atmosphere suitable for families and couples. All the food is made fresh, if you don’t see an item on the menu, they will make it for you. Nice wine selection and a very large menu for such a small restaurant. They have seating outdoors as well as inside.

A real gem My wife and I really loved our dinner here. I’m glad it popped up on Unilocal because I would have never found this location on my own. It sits unassumingly on the corner of a strip mall next to a Subway. It’s pretty small and the food is cooked to order so if there’s a wait, just be prepared to wait awhile. It’s very worth it. This seems to be designed as a full meal experience. If you’re starving and want a huge entrée and fast, this is not your best option. Portions and service seems to be designed for those having an appetizer, entrée and dessert and allows time to converse with whoever you’re with. Bring a date — don’t bring your grandma if you’re just trying to fulfill the meal quotas with her. I had the chicken parm and my wife had the lobster ravioli. We were both very happy with what we ordered. Dessert was great too — we had the hazelnut gelato and it was pretty fantastic. Our waiter was great — made some good suggestions and shared some history on the wine we ordered; it helped make it a nice experience. We loved the meal, staff, and ambiance and will definitely be coming back.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for the food. The service is good, but the food was lacking. First tip: DONOT order the garlic bread. The cheese they use tastes somewhat rubbery. I can’t think of a better word to describe it. It had a very weird taste. The Caesar salad was pretty average. The alla Checca pasta wasn’t bad, but again, just average. A nice treat at the end was a combo of chocolate covered raisins and a glass of prosecco, which was a nice touch and the best part of my meal. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place to friends and I wouldn’t done here again.

The most authentic Italian cuisine in the area. Every dish we had was delicious. Full body flavors and fresh ingredients. Restaurant is a bit small but very cozy and comforting. Service was excellent and waiters are very experienced and knowledgeable. Would go back again and again.

My husband and I were starving and it was date night. We drove to Reunion in Anaheim but the wait was 1.5 hours long. Soooo we drove around and found Baci on Lakeview near the 91 freeway. There was NOWAIT we sat right down. That should have been my first clue… Once inside, I noticed the lighting was terrible. Made everyone look their worst. I was so hungry though I didn’t care. I ordered a glass of wine which wasn’t bad, my husband got a beer. We were looking over the menu, everything really sounded appealing. I started with the minestrone soup. I always judge an Italian place by the minestrone they serve, weird I know but it usually is a sign of what’s to come. My husband got the lobster bisque. Soup arrived, we both grabbed our spoons and… YUCK!!! We both looked at each other and grabbed salt and pepper ANYTHING to help out these bowls of unappetizing liquid in front of us. To top it off they JUST qualified as «maybe warm» but definitely no where near hot soup. Within 2 minutes in front of me it was officially cold, and still bad. It was like sink water with vegetables. Boo. I was sad, and not looking forward to the eggplant Parmesan with mozzarella dish I ordered. On the menu it said in big letters, if you don’t see something you want they can make it. So when I ordered I asked if they could make it spicy. My husband ordered the veal shank with risotto. I was still starving. Then our main dishes rounded that corner and was set down in front of me. Good grief. I am not even kidding(I wish I would have taken a pic) they sliced up a very narrow eggplant(the width of a pickle) into strips like bacon. The fanned them out, dumped tomato sauce out of a can, then strategically placed two squares of lunch type mozzarella squares(like you find in the grocery store near the American cheese squares, not even deli stuff) on top and maybe microwaved it for 20 seconds. Again, it was so NOTHOT that the mozzarella didn’t even melt AND not at all spicy. ITWASSOBAD I only ate a few bites. My husband asked if it was as bad as it looked and I just gave him the look. Chef Boyardee is waaaaaaaaaaaay better, and chef Boyardee SUCKS! His veal shank was mushy and«gross» and the risotto was undercooked and still hard. This is the first time neither one of us finished a meal. We are definitely not picky people but this was so bad we just pushed our plates away. STILLHUNGRY we ordered dessert, this was a gamble I know, but why stop now. The lemon sorbet was GREAT the pistachio gelato was«meh». $ 128.00 later we felt angry, and left so so disappointed. Won’t be coming back, we would have been better off going to In n Out!!! Save your money, you have been warned! Worst cold Italian food in OC.

Wonderful meal. Excellent service. Great flavors. Wonderful wines. However, the Salted Caramel Gelato blew me away. It was the perfect ending. It is clear to me why they had a full house on a Monday night. Bravo

Walking into the restaurant was almost breathtaking. The patio is so elegant and beautiful with string lights surrounding the areas(+1 star). The restaurant itself is extremely small, but there is both a sense of intimacy and home-y feel to it. On the other hand, the wait for while our table to be set up was a bit awkward, as both my boyfriend and I were squished against the wall while servers and guests were brushing through. Eventually, we sat down and waited for our waiter. When we didn’t even get our menus, I had to flag another waiter down. After we got our orders in, bread was dropped off at our table. The bread itself was good and tasted great with the olive oil/vinegar. But for me, that was about it. I ordered the Risotto Alla Maria($ 22.95) that our waiter had recommended and felt that the chicken was nice and tender. But after about 10 spoonfuls(literally) I couldn’t eat anymore. I felt sick and the taste was just off. I thought it was just me but when my boyfriend tried a bit, he also mentioned that it had a weird aftertaste. I wanted to give it another shot so I had the waiter box the rest up while I waited for my boyfriend to finish his meal. He ended up getting the Linguine Arrabbiata($ 22.95) and loved his entrée(+1 on behalf of him). Long story short, I tried my meal again the next day for lunch and it still had the same taste. Needless to say, I threw the box away and wasted $ 23 on a dish that wasn’t even half finished. Overall, 2 stars for ambiance and my boyfriend’s pasta but I can’t comment on the service as it just was not there that night. I would like to give it a second chance but the experience was simply disappointing.

OK How to start. Look, I lived in Italy for 6 years and I am picky about my Italian food. It was my wife’s birthday and she picked the place. We have never been here so, what the heck. First reaction; Not a big place but Thursday night several tables were filled so… A good sign. We elected to sit outside on the patio which is also where everyone enters. Not perfect but considering the size of the joint things are laid out very well. Service to settle in perfect! Menus are easy to understand and the Specials Menu as well was simple and direct. Wine selection is GREAT! Want a cheap Merlot? They got it. We went for a 2010 Zaca Mesa Syrah which was fairly priced as far as restaurants go and I was very happy with my selection. We are both trying to lose a bit of weight so we only ordered one appetizer and 2 mains. Had to try their Calamari. Italy right? You gotta!!! This was simply terrific! The batter was very light and the squid was perfectly cooked. Not chewy in the slightest. I like mine with a bit of lemon and it was great. Calamari can be tricky. I have had it in countries from India, to Italy, France, England and yes the good olé USA and this one was absolutely one of the best. Next was the Special pasta with Filet Mignon, Sausage and Porcini Mushrooms. This was made in a cream sauce that was not to thick not to thin but as Goldilocks would say it was Juuuuuust Right. My wife opted for the Scampi with Angel Hair Pasta with a Lemon Garlic sauce. She did not particularly care for it. Now we get to the«Why the five stars then» My wife and I swapped dishes and I concurred with her that it lacked flavor. What you dear reader should understand is that she is from India and when we make dinner at home the flavors are POWERFUL. So we often miss the nuance of the lighter flavors. Our waiter had stopped by previously and on the next trip by I let him know that it was a little light for our taste. WELLNOW! He took the plate back to the kitchen and zipped it up with some garlic and oil and lemon and brought it back. NOWWE“RETALKING!!! Delightful. Thank You. We will be back.

This was my 3rd visit, to Baci di Firenze Trattoria. Each time, the company I’ve taken, the food and drink I’ve enjoyed, and the staff I’ve interracted with, get better and better. Vittorio Severino, is not only the owner, of this fine italian dining spot, but also becomes your family, in the process. He not only greets your table, shakes your hand, interacts during the meal, and ensures your experience is top-notch, but he makes you feel like a valued customer and stands behind his place, product, and people. The servers are equally polite, informative, and care about your overall experience. The food speaks for itself. I mean, out of this world, deliciousness! My soulmate and I ordered the appetizer trio(on the suggestion of Vittorio). It came with a slice of brushetta, a slice, steamed artichoke with pine nuts, and a sampling of caprese salad. I must admit, it was thee most amazing appetizer I have devoured, in my entire life! We also ordered the fried mozzarella and garlic bread, and I swear those were equally impressive. My boyfriend’s son and his girlfriend, simply agreed. For dinner, I chose the Lobster Ravioli and was not disappointed. It was accompanied by my favorite white wine, Moscato. The bill can add up quickly, when treating others to a fine meal, full of drinks, appetizers, and meals. However, I stand behind the fact that I surely got my money’s worth, and sometimes we don’t learn how much we settle for«food,» compared to high quality ingredients and service. Kudos, Vittoria, serving staff, cooks, busboys, and the like. Job, well done!!! See you soon!

A pleasant surprise that’s been hiding down my street. I think I found my favorite Italian restaurant. Came by around 6:15 for an anniversary dinner and the service was amazing and the food was exquisite. The owner and our server, Vittorio Severino was excellent and very personable. Even though the restaurant is in a random shopping mall off the 91 freeway, I was really taken back by how much I felt at home when I walked in. Nice warm colors with neat décor but never over gaudy. We opted to sit outside on the patio as the gloomy weather was just clearing up as we showed up. Coincidence? We shared the lobster bisque and and the server brought the soup out in two separate bowls without us asking. A very sweet gesture. This was both our first time trying lobster bisque and I was mentally kicking myself for waiting so long. Maybe the wait was worth it was what we were given was rich with flavor and had plenty of lobster pieces. My taste buds were going nuts after the first sip. It was as if I just had ice cream for the first time. For the main entrée I ordered the Linguine Sarno(Jumbo sea scallops and shrimp sautéed with garlic and basil in a spicy tomato sauce over linguine). Plentiful amounts of scallops and shrimp accompanied the perfectly cooked linguine layered with delicious tomato sauce. I got to try my girlfriends entrée, Pennette Alla Gabriella. It was also a knock out dish with flavors I’ve never tasted. This is just my opinion but I would’ve like the penne noodles cooked a bit longer but she loved it the way they served it. To each their own. The menu can be daunting at first but I’m sure you can’t go wrong with any items. There looks to be something for everyone. I would like to thank Vittorio, his professional servers, as well as the cooks in the back for such an enjoyable and pleasant time for our first visit. I can’t wait to come back.
