A solid burger, Mexican, breakfast place where you order at the counter and they deliver to your table via your«number» given at purchase. It honestly seems like mom/pop type places like this all have the same formula. It’s not a bad formula, just the same. Burger was standard fair. I enjoyed mind you, and it’s what I expected, but again, just standard. The tuna melt was delish. The place is clean, but obviously not mecca of modern décor. I did like the real plants around the dining area. Honestly, if we’re in the area and hungry, we’ll probably stop by again.

Great Breakfast. Pancakes are better than Dennys! $ 53 pancakes; eggs & choice of bacon or sausages. Definitely coming back. Haven’t ate here for lunch yet. Will soon enough :)

6 dollars for a .5 lb cheeseburger. Feels like a late 90s diner. Decent wait time for food. The cheeseburger was good, similar to other greasy spoon restaurants. It looks like they have better deals for breakfast. I will probably come back for breakfast next time.

Can’t understand why a Bacon Cheese is $ 4 more than a cheeseburger. was I charged for a combo without the combo?

Are you kidding me? 9 flippin dollars for a plain old dried out hamburger with 3 pounds of lettuce on it no ketchup, no mayo, no fries or anything else? How the hell does this place stay in business? I should have known when the burger(which I stupidly assumed was a combo for that ridiculous price) order was taken by a guy with fewer teeth than the cost of the burger. And then I got to watch the cook wipe his hands on his pants as he picked up the Ortega peppers by hand and put them on the burger. I should have just driven away and let them eat it. I actually even called to say«Did you guys forget my fries or anything else surely this hamburger could not have cost $ 9». The girl just said«Yes that was the cost of the quote«sandwich». I got home and was so disgusted I simply threw that piece of crap in the trash. Do not go here unless you are having your last meal no don’t even waste your last meal there.

Wanted some chili fries but at $ 9.00? I don’t think so, not sure what kind of potatoes they use or maybe Kobe steak not sure but principal won’t allow me to ever pay just over $ 9 for chili fries at a burger joint. And I ordered without cheese! Burger wasn’t bad.

Very small but friendly. We had breakfast. The burritos are giant. They have mote traditional mexican breakfasts too. Rice us really good, beans so so. Breakfast platters large enough we could have split them. Eggs and bacon are good, but I would avoid the pancakes. Not very light or fluffy. Fruit served with platters. I would recommend for a diner option.

I’ve only ordered the fish & chips, but they’re so awesome I keep going back for more. One combo plate is enough to feed me and my husband, and there’s still enough leftover for one of us to have lunch the next day… and we fight over who gets to eat it. The combo comes with 3 whole batter fried fish fillets that barely fit in the take-out container, plus standard issue fries and mediocre coleslaw. But we don’t care. We’re in it for the fish & chips. Well worth the $ 8.15 price. I’ve had pretty good fish & chips at other fancier restaurants, but the serving sizes were small and the prices outrageous. Burger Boy is an unpretentious Mom & Pop kind of place that pays more attention to the quality & amount of their fish & chips, and that’s more than good enough for me.

The rating explanation of «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» really sums this up. I was looking for a good breakfast burrito since I moved to the area so I came here. I rolled through the drive-thru and it was quick and painless although other Unilocalers say it can be rough. Went for a breakfast burrito with bacon and an order of fries. So lets get down to business. We live in a city that is filled with many different grease pits and taquerias to get awesome burritos from. It is tough to stand out, but honestly this place did nothing for me. The burrito did the job in filling me up but was there anything special about it? No not at all. Kind of flavorless without the salsa. I was bummed out that it didn’t deliver more in the flavor department. I should just stick with the spots that I know. Fries were decent, but those are tough to mess up right? They were hot outta the fryer and nice and salty. Not sure if I would come back and try other stuff here, I just got off to a bad start with the place and there are too many places in OC that I know are good. So maybe again in a pinch I would give it another go. CHEERS!!!

Ordering at the drive thru is torturous. First. The drive thru attendant doesn’t realize that the speaker system has a slight delay when they push the button to speak so the first half of what they are saying is cut out. Second. Order a hamburger special. Attendant, «with cheese?». Me, «no. And no onion». Attendant, «with cheese?». Me, «no.» Note: if I wanted a cheese burger I would order a cheese burger. When I finally get my order it’s never right. It will be some variation and it will probably have cheese! Customer service is virtually non existent. A simple greeting and thank you would go a long way. Food quality is sub par. Not a huge deal since after all, it’s a burger joint… There are tons of burger joints. I’d pass on this one.

Two stars is being generous. I have also experienced the high prices here. and the ok food. So I guess it took yet another time to get kicked in the head. Food taste — Ok. I have definitely had better. MUCH better. But I was hungry. and this was open. and it wasn’t mc donalds. 4.79 for the breakfast burrito. With bacon. I asked to add ham and it made it over 11 dollars. I asked. and she said ham was another 4.95. How is a slice of ham priced higher than the whole breakfast burrito? Needless to say. I told her she could keep her ham. and I only purchased the burrito. It was ok. The salsa was not spicy at all.(kind of tasteless, actually). This will be my last time at this place. I’ll sooner wait for something else to be open before I spend any more money in this place.

Was ok my friends wanted to eat here and I was concerned. Place looked clean but had bad health dept checks. Got the cheese burger and it was good. Onion rings got hard after cooling down not real tasty. Not memorable. Will update if I get sick. Feeling ok for now.

I do not usually give a place less than 4 stars unless I feel I really have to. One of the reasons was because the price was a little high for the amount of food you get. Their shrimp plate was ok. Fries were a little soggy. Their breakfast burrito(bacon) was ok. Bacon was not too crunchy. They used potatoes instead of hash browns. Tasted a little stale. That’s what it was. Their ingredients were not fresh and I will not come back nor recommend anybody to come here.

DONOTEATHERE. Over priced unflavorful food, rude staff, and its hot as hell inside of the place. Do yourself a favor and head to Paul’s Place down the road. Your tastebuds and wallet will thank you. There should be more competition in this area, this is the only reason Burger Boy is still in business…

Turn around, don’t go in! 1 order of food poisoning is all you’ll get from this place. My boyfriend and I wanted to try something new, thus ended up here. We ordered burgers and enchiladas with chips and salsa. The salsa was expired, the food was HORRIBLE. We should have just headed down one more block and got McDonald’s. Yeah, McDonald’s may have left us feeling like we gave into big business with low quality, but this place left us worse. Fighting over the toilet, and our bodies fighting over which holes to use. So for your own safety. STOPANDDON’T GOIN.

This sht was inedible. I’m surprised they are in business. I’ve never thrown food out before without trying to eat most of it, even if it’s not great. Who would waste food and money. But after three attempted bites the sweaty pube hair-flavored cheese sauce on my «enchiladas» was too much. I chucked that sh*t right out and cursed the eight dollars it cost me. This was the grossest thing I’ve ever put in my mouth and I’m not a picky eater by any means. Oh, and to the staff: Yeah I heard your jokes about me right in front of my face, putos. Maybe one day someone will trick you into eating your own food. Punishment enough. Stay away from this place.

To make this short and to the point. Had the chicken club sandwich here at this burger establishment and wasn’t happy about the sandwich. The chicken lacked taste and the Swiss cheese that they put on there was no Swiss cheese it was something that was made in some type of laboratory I’m sure of it. The mayo didn’t even taste fresh. Yuck! The star on the plate was the onion rings and that wasn’t saying much. As I have had better onion rings. But they were edible and was a good alternative to chicken sandwich fail. Now my son enjoyed his hamburger and french fries so for that and for that reason only this place will get a two star from me. Lesson learned go with your first mind is I should’ve went to the sports Grill that was down the street from Angel Stadium.

I get it. This place isn’t a five star ma and pop shop, but breakfast here is pretty damn good. Girthy breakfast burritos, fluffy pancakes, nicely fried bacon, cheap prices. When you ask for easy potatoes, they actually do ease up on the potatoes.
