El Pollo Loco

I don’t expect much when i get fast food… i just want what i ordered in a more or less timely manner. i really don’t care for the bullshit of saying hi when i walk in the door, or asking me how my day is going… I really just want to get my food and get out.
i went this week and a young chick that look like I was bothering her was the cashier… I am staring at her, for what seemed like an eternity… waiting for this dumb broad to say «whenever you are ready’ or ‘how may i help you’ or something to that effect… nope…this stupid girl just stands there getting huffy and bothered… i finally start giving my order. she takes it quickly because it seems like i was bothering her, and she needed to go do something else. She takes off in such a huff, that i didn’t get my damn drink cup, so i had to ask some man (the manager maybe?) for a god damn drink cup. I get my order, and of course it is wrong.
Look you idiot… it isn’t my fault you got knocked up at 16, and you had to drop out of high school to work at pollo loco for $ 9 bucks an hour. if you are going to work someplace taking fucking food orders, at least TAKE THE FUCKING ORDER.
I work near this place, and WAS a frequent customer. i frequently dragged my co-​workers in here because the IDEA of healthy fast food seemed like a good idea… I might try it again in 6 months after this particular girl gets fired, but we will see.

I come to this location about once a week and I always use the drive thru and for some reason it’s the same girl (Mary) taking my order… I have just come to the point where I will no longer go to this location she is just so rude, rushes you thru your order, and always gives nasty looks… when I get to the window it’s usually a younger male giving out the food and he is wonderful just super nice about everything…

THIS PLACE NEEDS SOME SERIOUS CHECKING! I bought the classic chicken salad and I found a damn maggot or some sort of nasty bug in my food! I knew something tasted odd to the point where it made me gag so I spit out my food Right away! And that’s what I spit out I am beyond grossed out and EXTREMELY DISGUSTED BY THIS PLACE & their food! Never EVER returning to this el pollo loco! My mouth is now starting to itch! This is serious! This place needs to be seen by pest control ! So I will be the one calling them tomorrow to get this store checked out !

Surprisingly great food and service! Came in for a quick family meal. Place is clean, workers have a nice attitude and seem happy.
Mary helped us out. She offered a couple of suggestions on family deals. Again, nice attitude and courteous service from her. Great service. Food was served promptly and hot. Place not too busy on a Monday night. Will definitely be coming back.

I came here to eat with my parents and older brother, and Giselle took our order. She was so rude, I understand working at a fast food restaurant Is stressful but she has no patients and she has too much of an attitude.
Other than that, the food was okay.

Will never eat here again … Not only did they mess my order up but gave me spoiled food too. Smh never again

I’m actually really surprised that this place is good. The new menu change includes shrimp and I want to say they remodeled inside so it feels and looks more modern. I ordered the shrimp avocado burrito and snacked on the mister’s shrimp and chicken tostada. The shrimp avocado burrito was tasty but could’ve either used a smaller tortilla or they could’ve added more filler inside. I used avosalsa and the pico de gallo and it just enhanced the burrito’s flavor, but you could eat it plain and it’s still good. The tostada was really tasty as well and full of juicy chicken pieces and shrimp.
We left feeling full but not gluttonous which was good for a Monday night. Definitely giving the rest of the shrimp menu a try!

Very bad experience… I ordered a 3 course meal with 12 pieces… and surprise, when I got home I only received 8 I called immediately and the manager answered and suggested for me to go back and he would give me 6 pieces, which seemed nice but I told him I didn’t wanna go that day since we were already seating ready to eat. I told him I could go tomorrow and he said it was fine to bring my receipt to which I said I didn’t have it anymore, but he agreed anyway… so I go today and a nice girl served me she said she would ask her manager and went to the back… she came back and told the guy that was on the grill to give me six pieces with legs and thighs. To which I said that I had paid for the mixed selection so she went back to ask again, she came back saying it was ok. I got salsas and then i asked the manager if I could get some tortillas all I wanted was 2 tortillas to what he said no that our agreement had been 6 pieces of chicken only., that if I had kept the receipt he could have given me everything but without one he can’t do it. So I told him that driving back was an inconvenience and as I was gonna tell him I only needed two tortillas he turned around and gave me his back., what an act of disrespect for his customers, it wasn’t me who got my order wrong in the first place. The managers name was Fernando by the way, he’s such a douche.

This was a very bad choice. You would expect a chicken place to have good chicken tostada salad. This is not the case. The salads look nothing like they do on TV.
I paid nine dollars for a small stale tortilla salad. I asked for no sour cream, but they heaped it on anyway.
It would’ve been much cheaper and much better tasting going to Del taco.
I really want to like Pollo Loco, I really do. Their food looks good, but it never is.
I don’t think I will ever be back.

Never had an issue with this pollo loco, been coming here for the past 10 yrs, until today. The cashier working drive thru was rude, her sarcasm while «trying» to take my order was unnecessary. To have a child ask why the «lady» was being mean was uncalled for. I called the store and talked to the manager and yes he did apologize but they need to teach these employees the value of their job, because right now they are unprofessional and need to tone down their attitude. I drove by drive thru around 3:25p incase anyone from corporate is reading, check and see who was there.

Worst experience ever! I ordered their family meal and requested for a tub of pico de gallo and salsa and they never gave it to me. Instead they gave me 3 small containers of watered down «so called salsa» with literally 3 pieces of tomatoes in it. And 3 small containers of a teaspoon of salsa verde in each container. Wow, can your customer service suck more?! This doesn’t even deserve one star. At all. Unfortunately, I can’t post it without rating it. –_​_​–

This place has gone from awesome to downright bullcrap. The food is awesome most of the time and this location is nearby, that’s why I keep coming back. The last three times I’ve been here, they have gotten my order wrong. The first two times they got my side orders wrong. No big deal.
But yesterday, oh hell nah. Little miss attitude working the drive thru, JOCELYN. I could barely understand her at all. Stop mumbling, nobody can understand you darling. Little girl got an attitude when I asked to make my family meal a 12 piece instead of a 8 piece. At least I didn’t ask you when I went to pay at the window.
When I get to the window, no smile, no hello, nothing. No manners at all. Just, «$ 26.xx.» Didn’t even look my way. Kept mumbling.
So I get home, open up the box. There are NINE pieces of chicken. I ordered TWELVE. Why can’t we hire people who can count to twelve any longer?
I DID NOT PAY FIVE EXTRA DOLLARS TO GET ONE MORE PIECE OF CHICKEN. Are you kidding me?
Usually the people at the drive thru are pretty nice, have some manners and get my orders correct. But these new hires though… You got to stop hiring these kids with ugly attitudes.
Incorrect orders and bad attitudes are not going to get me to spend my money at this location.

Waited 20 minutes in drive thru just to get my order wrong. Took them 5 minutes just to give me my correct change back and my order so i wont be going to this drive thru again.
They also turned on their sprinklers which broke and was just gushing water all over. What a waste!
And to the girl Mariah or Maria working the window tonight, next time someone tells you you got their order wrong… dont huff and puff like its my fault and correct the order without an attitude. Might help you keep your job longer.

The worst service. if you dont want to work there dont. the girl in drive thru at nights. Always gets my order wrong she gets so mad when i ask for salsa or any condiments n i let them know ahead of time so many times ive talk to the managers about this person n they do nothing if i can rate this 0 i would

Never had a problem at Pollo loco, the food is always good, the joint is clean and the drive thru is usually pretty quick. Until tonight my tray was thrown on my table by the rudest worker no apology or anything.

I came here on a Tuesday at 9pm to get a quick bite. When I approached the window the girl told me they were closed when the hours obviously say they close at 11pm. The person that was just before me got their food, what gives?!

I’m extremely satisfied with my experience at this El Pollo Loco. I wanted enchiladas tonight and I saw that they had chicken enchiladas on the menu, but I don’t eat chicken. I asked if they had any cheese enchiladas and the girl was super nice and said they could make them for me. I wanted rice and beans but to order 2 full sides would have been way too much for me. So she offered me a meal on their menu and substituted both sides with ones I wanted. I ask but never expect people to make adjustments for me, but they really went above and beyond to accommodate me here. I love the enchiladas and my favorite salsa is the avocado salsa. Yum! I will definitely be coming back here.

Horrible service!!! I have been waiting for my order for 25 minutes. When I asked how much longer they clearly didn’t have an order for me.

I can’t think of a better place for fast food than el pollo loco, and this location is really nice. I pop in once a week or so and hit the drive-​thru for über fast, and very friendly, service. The window person is always smiling and willing and eager to take special requests. My usual is the BRC burrito with no rice (extra beans) and a whole wheat tortilla. They have this ready in less than a minute. Love that.

El Pollo Loco is quickly becoming a favorite and probably because of the options. The kids love the mac n cheese. I love the fresh tasting food (brc). The chicken meals are tasty too.
This is another place that mails a flood of coupons out.
For Disneyland visitors this place is superior to the one on Ball, because this one is less busy and situated better, easier traffic flow.
