You already know you can’t go wrong with chicken and waffles, but dang!!! Their chicken chili cheese fries were bomb! I didn’t think it was going to be that good, but it was!

As a Bay Area native, Roscoe’s is always a priority visit whenever in socal! The quality of their fried chicken is in the top tier of the many variations I have eaten. The Obama’s special is the«usual» which comes with three wings and a waffle. Their chicken has a crispy skin, my favorite, with juicy meat that never dries out. Their waffle is thin and fluffy perfection as opposed to the surrounding hotels serving you those«make your own» waffles that are as thick as a wooden board. The Anaheim location is my favorite as it has the best service with their friendliness and attentiveness.

This place was disappointing to say the least. I heard many good things about roscoes and it just didn’t cut it. We came from NorCal, my first time in Southern California. First stop was this place. My girlfriend and I shared the ½ chix plate, white and dark meat. With Gravy on the side. The waffles were soggy, the white meat chicken was very dry, the dark meat wasn’t much better. The gravy had no flavor. Was very disappointing. I don’t know if it’s this location or all roscoes, but I would rather spend my money elsewhere. Service was not good either.

I love Roscoe’s and I’m not in LA often so I HAD to come here late at night after a full day at Disneyland. Ordered the Obama’s special with a waffle. Fluffy yet crisp waffle, meaty pieces of fried chicken wings dabbed in hot sauce. I promptly consumed it all in record time. I got one of their drinks too, a mix of lemonade and fruit punch, but I didn’t like it since it tasted very concentrated and sweet. My LA friends are always«this/that location is better, that/this location sucks». Yeah, whatever. For someone who isn’t local to LA, any Roscoe’s is better than no Roscoe’s so I’m not gonna play at that game.

I should of read the reviews before I came here! Food: I got the daily special which is 2 thighs, rice and gravy, and a biscuit. The food was really good and the chicken was flavorful and crispy. And the prices are reasonable. Service: We was greeted and seated right away, which was nice but we waited 15 minutes before we seen a server and that’s only because I had to flag someone down and Asked for help, I didn’t at first because I was trying be patient considering it was a busy Sunday afternoon. Our food came before our drinks and waiting for the food was about another 25 minutes. The guy who was cleaning the tables around us was throwing the plates into the container forcefully and making a mess and a lot of noise. Because I really enjoyed the food, next time I’ll just order take out. I’m definitely not dining here anymore.

Now I know what A good chicken liver taste like. But I’ve got to say these are very exceptional by Texans standards. I had to stop my date from stealing them from me. So thank you Roscoe! I am a fan. Thanks

First time visiting this location in Anaheim. We were seated right away which was great however that was the only thing that was great. We waited an obscene amount of time for a waiter to take our order while the table of 10+ besides us, who arrived after us were already being serviced for food and drinks. I tried my best to make eye contact with as many associates as possible to give the look of «ready» and that didn’t help. Finally we were assisted and the lady quickly took our order. Food was mediocre probably not worth the visit after a day at Disneyland. When we were ready for our check we continued to wait… we saw our waitress glance at us and walk away towards another table. When she did that I thought to myself — OK maybe she’s assisting other guest. However once we waited 10+ minutes I walked down and she was just talking to her co-workers, sitting at the table Horrible, horrible service.

THE best food at Disneyland. Must try the syrup. We stayed for a week at Disneyland and ate most meals on Disney property. Some friends met us at Roscoes for dinner, which is a short 5 – 10 minute drive from the parks. Roscoes had a friendly parking attendant who helped us into a close spot. We didn’t have to wait long for a table. I ordered the«Scoes #2» with dark meat and pigged-out with tasty fried onions and gravy poured over the crispy pieces of chicken. Yes, it is true… gravy is a food group of its own and Roscoes gravy is very tasty. Roscoes waffles reminded me of the plain waffles from the Waffle House, but the maple syrup had something in it that gave it an incredible flavor. Before I knew it, I put away two pieces of chicken and two waffles. My wife likes wings and enjoyed the«Obama special». My daughter just wanted some waffles by themselves and was happy with her choice. The service was a bit slow, but very friendly. Pay at the front when you leave, and the cashier keeps a list to ensure your tip goes to your server. We paid $ 65 for 5 people, which included a couple of Blue Moon beers. Not bad for the area. After I rolled-out the front door, we experienced a nice food coma before retiring to bed. Roscoes was the best meal we had on our trip. When you are in a fun place like Disneyland, fun food like Roscoes fits right in. Recommended.

My first time at Roscoe’s House of Chicken ‘n Waffles. We were seated right away. Service was okay, forgot to come back with coffee, extra napkins, and straw, but otherwise very pleasant. My wife had wings and a waffle, no complaints, said it was good. I had fried chicken liver and grits with eggs and a biscuit, also gravy on the side. Grits with butter were good(bland, but that’s expected). Biscuit was hard. Fried chicken livers were good, but better with the gravy. Apparently, depending on the cook, there may or may not have the seasoning(today it was lacking) that would have made the fried liver even better, which speaks to some inconsistencies mentioned in other reviews. Overall a treat for me to get something different. Worth a try. Enjoy.

I came here right after Disneyland with a friend expecting to have some amazing chicken and waffles… but to my surprise, I was deeply disappointed. The service here was horrible!!! When we arrived we were immediately seated, which was awesome but when it came to taking our orders, the waiter never showed after we had ordered our drinks the first time. We decided to wait, but when 30 mins passed and still no waiter, I called the host who seated us if he could inform our waiter that we were ready to order since I never personally saw her myself. I thought that after informing the host, the waiter would immediately come but again 15 mins passed and still no waiter, so that’s when we decided to just leave. It was very disappointing and unprofessional. Never coming here again. P.S the workers were not in any way rude but just their lack of attention for their customers upset me

Wanting some soul food before rocking out to The Who, we rolled in here fer some southern fried vittles. Friendly service all around. Slightly slippery floors, so beware. I had: Chicken breast, drumstick and 2 waffles. Blue Moon. Rolled out of there so stuffed, wishing I’d had 1 waffle less. Good stuff but definitely not the kind of cuisine I could eat more than once a year. Good times in Mouse-ville, USA.

This must’ve been a new location because I’ve never seen this here before. After a long drive to Anaheim, we decided to eat here since it was the boyfriend’s first time. The wait is not long at all compared to the one on Manchester. They also have their own parking lot which is convenient. I wasn’t hungry enough to order the chicken and waffles, so I ordered their chicken salad sandwich instead. The sandwich was good and the chicken salad was tasty. The fries were cajun flavored but very soggy. The boyfriend liked the waffles and chicken, but we weren’t fans of the mac and cheese. It was way too salty and a pool of oil was at the bottom. The service was painfully slow but they were friendly. I still think house of chicken and waffles in oakland is better.

So my friends and I decided to go here after Disneyland. There is a good amount of parking next to and behind the building, and there is also additional parking in a green sectioned off parking lot. I ordered the #1, which was like the Scoe’s and it came with a ¼ of chicken that you could choose dark meat(thigh and leg) or white meat(breast and wing) and 2 waffles. I ended up getting the dark meat and I thought the fried chicken was quite good. It was nice and flavorful, and was fried amazingly well, being nice and crispy on the outside while being juicy and tender on the inside. It went really well being dipped in the hot sauce they provided on the table, and the syrup that was used for the waffles. Overall, excellent chicken. The waffles unfortunately we’re quite a let down and I didn’t like them all that much. They reminded me of slightly better ego waffles, not having that nice crispness and fluffy softness in the middle that I generally enjoy from waffles. They come with a scoop of butter on top and some syrup, but neither made it taste all that great. I remember having a slightly better experience at the Long Beach location but this one was still decently good too.

When your hotel is a 3 minute walk from this place… uhhh… yeah you gotta go. Lol. I got the Scoes’s #1; it comes with your choice of meat(dark or white), waffles with warm cinnamon butter and maple syrup. It was delicious. The bf got Obama’s Special which came with three wings with one waffle. There was a moment when we weren’t even talking about anything because we were too busy eating our food. Lol. Our server was okay. She didn’t really check up on us much and took long to get our bill when we asked for it. The other server actually was the one who stepped up and gave our bill so we can go and pay. Perfect location overall!

When they opened this Roscoe’s Anaheim location, I was completely stoked. I’ve only been to the one in Long Beach before this and have nothing but good things to say. So… In my opinion, I feel that the ball was dropped on a few of the technical logistics of this location. Bad news first, I totally get why they would open a location in the heart of Anaheim — Disneyland, duh! But with such proximity to the happiest place on earth, it would also mean that it can get freakin’ packed here. So with that in mind, the parking lot for this place is faaaar too small. If you ever have the opportunity to drive on past this location, YES, it is a 2-STORY building. Now just look at the parking lot… how did they really think that it would work? You’d have to get really lucky to snag a slot here… There is a silver lining to all of this. The Chicken and Waffles are still very tasty. I think that the Long Beach location has a bit of a one up on Anaheim because, let’s face it, they’ve just been around longer. However, something about the syrup didn’t sit right with me or my husband, maybe it was just us, but the syrup tasted completely watered down. Boo. Well, it’s not going to stop us from visiting this place again. Hopefully it’ll be better the next time around…

This is always our pit stop when we take a trip from San Diego to LA and it never fails to deliver. My go-to item here is the Carol C. Special which is one succulent chicken breast and one waffle. I’ve honestly never thought a combination of chicken and waffles can be so great but this one does it every time for me. For first timers, I would say go for the Carol C. Special or Herb’s Special which is just a super sized version of the Carol C. with more chicken and an additional waffle(prepared Southern style). There are plenty of other options on the menu here but if ‘s your first time, you might as well go for the items that offer both chicken and waffles since the place is named for that. The syrup here is super bomb too which makes the waffles taste even more amazing. Also, for a sweet dipping for the fried chicken, combine their hot sauce with ketchup and syrup, and stir. You can thank me later ;) I have been to both this location and the Sunset Blvd. location in Hollywood and I much prefer this location because it is always less crowded and the food tastes better here. This is probably because since there are less people here, they can focus more on delivering quality food than on how many tables they can turn in a night. The waiters here are all very nice as well and parking here has never been an issue. The prices are very fair for both the quantity and quality of food they offer. I love Roscoes and I am so excited it is coming down to SD later this year!

Cmon it’s Roscoes Chicken and Waffles, sweet baby Jesus! Oh did I mention that Obama has bee here. So many in SoCal, but we all know the real one is in Inglewood… RESTAURANT: Very spacious, when they say the wait time– don’t believe it. It will be probably half that time! When you walk in you’ll notice all the room they can seat, and how spacious this Roscoes really is; looking from the outside you would think its cramp. SERVICE: Awesome service, can’t even complain. It was other servers greeting us with a warm smile and a hello. And our server seemed like he really loved what he did: they all did. FOOD: I got that Presidential Obama Special(3wings and a waffle[I added another waffle]). I must say that was a match made in the Obama headquarters right there! Unfortunately the chicken seemed to have been just tossed in the batter and cooked: had no type of seasoning what so ever. that was a surprise to me. The waffles were good, tasted like Cinnamon or maybe that was a syrup either way 2 thumbs for the waffles. Definitely could have had 5 stars if the chicken just had a little bit more seasoning or even a little bit of seasoning because the chicken, but everything else delicious and you’ll really appreciate it there!

Not nearly as good as the Roscoe’s in Long Beach. Service is akin to a Chinese restaurant as can be said for the wait time between ordering and receiving, which is disturbing, but I can’t say I’m surprised that a place like this has everything pre-cooked and ready to be slung out. Chicken was bland. Waffles were floppy. Gravy tasted like mystery sauce. Prices are more than exorbitant. This location is the newest one smack dab in the middle of Disney territory and so you’d expect to pay a steep premium for both location and the restaurant’s name. Even though I was prepared to shell it out, I was not at all happy with the shocking bill. Go to Popeyes. Hell, go to KF-freaking-C. Man cannot survive on hype alone. Go get some real food across the street at Mi Casa.
