One of my favorite spots for hamburgers and service is always great and attentive. You can’t go wrong and if lucky, you’ll get Felipe as your waiter and he is extra attentive and friendly, even if the place is busy and he doesn’t miss a beat.

Great diner. Went with a large group, including small kids, and everyone loved their meals. Prompt service too.

We just ate at Ruby’s and really enjoyed their food. We both ordered the Seafood Combo expecting smaller portions that is pictured in the menu. We were very surprised to receive a plate with«very large» portions of shrimp, cod fish, coleslaw and plenty of french fries. The food was great and the atmosphere was very energetic. We ate in the restaurant vs the outside. We were seated upstairs and were seated within 10 minutes of putting our name on the waiting list. The price may seem a little spendy but the portions make up for it. We also ordered to their chocolate milkshake and this delicious drink. It was«delicious!» The restaurant has a lot of history and reading the articles on the walls is a history lesson in itself. This is a great place to eat after a long day at the beach.

Food was delicious, restutant clean, staff very friendly! Our waiter gave us 15% off because we told him we were staying in a hotel near here. Oleyvo was our waiter’s name… ask for him!

Sitting at our booth still, just having finished our last bit of fries and VERY happy! First of all, as soon as we stepped in we were in love. The atmosphere is to die for. Absolutely fabulous and fun and calm and somehow just exactly how you would hope. The service was excellent! We each got a different burger and both were happy! We are huge ranch people, and their ranch was totally perfect! We are also major fry people, so one of us for sweet potatoe and one of us got regular, and we were both constantly eating each other’s because both were done to absolutely perfection. Flavor and cooking! The manager came by and made sure the food was yummy, but wasn’t awkward! He wasn’t fishing for compliments or overly friendly to try to get us to give them a good review of anything, he seemed to be genuinely concerned with making sure they delivered delicious food and satisfying service, of which we gladly said YES to both! They don’t charge extra for things that most place does(we ordered a LOT of different sauces) which is another point! All the sauces were so yummy! Honey mustard, buffalo ranch, ranch, chipotle aioli, JUSTYUM! We would gladly come back :) oh I almost forgot, order the fried green beans, DELISH!

Went here after my brothers graduation and enjoyed every second! It took us a while to get seated, but it might have been because we were a decent sized party. Once seated, the service was very nice! Always around and our water was constantly filled! The food was excellent as always! Bottomless fries! Great burgers, sandwiches, wraps. I was actually really surprised this place had such great service because I grew up in Anaheim and we’re not the greatest place to be, but I’m so pleased with my night here! Milkshakes are a must – $ 6 though. I think it’s worth it if you have an occasion! Just eating, maybe not, but definitely if there’s an occasion!

We’ve hadn’t been here in a while and thought we would drop in for a quick and easy dinner on a long day. The food was good, but, unfortunately our service was a little lacking, although the staff did quickly resolve the issues. First things first — I would have given three stars if it weren’t for the awesome addition of beer and wine to the menu — woo-hoo! That deserves a star all by itself! There is finally a truly kid-friendly place to take your family AND have an adult beverage… sometimes one is necessary to keep from pulling one’s hair out or doing something worse that may land you behind bars… just sayin’… Some additional notes on the menu — Ruby’s has revamped their menu to offer a wider variety of items. It seems their efforts are aimed at patrons that have the expectation of a more elevated dining experience vs. what a «diner» may offer… think previously mentioned beer and wine and an ahi burger. They are also reaching for the more health-conscious customer with the addition of vegetarian items(garden burgers), many new salads(Mediterranean and Chinese), gluten free items, and sweet potato fries. Regarding the food — the boyfriend ordered a bacon cheeseburger and added guacamole(it came without… boo) but it was great. He said more than once that«Ruby’s really does know how to make a burger,» and I have to say I agree. I know because I had to make sure that it wasn’t poisoned so I took a test bite… Also his fries were bottomless. I ordered ½ a BLTA with no mayo and a cup of soup but subbed the chili instead. Unfortunately, the sandwich came drenched in mayo, but, once mentioned was quickly replaced with a new one. I have never had their chili before but it was a colder day so it sounded good. I anticipated the typical chili I would expect from a diner — good but not life changing. I was pleasantly surprised at how amazingly yummers the chili was! It had no beans and was made with shredded beef, like maybe brisket, instead of ground beef. It was so good that I will be looking to imitate it at home soon. I didn’t get any pics of the food(«hanger» had taken over by the time the food arrived, which was not any fault of Ruby’s :(), but it looked exactly as you would probably imagine. Overall, I would come back here for a good consistent meal and the pure heaven of a classic milkshake… and now a glass of wine… One quick word to the wise… don’t expect a quiet atmosphere…

Big cone of calamari or Big con of calamari? False advertising. Even the menu was misleading. It showed a cone full of calamari — not a cone ¾ full of purple cabbage and ¼ calamari. Mgr is a wimp.

I had not been in for some time and wanted to take a peak at the patio for a 50s themed bridal shower. LOVE! Behind the patio is part of the Anaheim Historic district so the view of the homes even fit the retro diner theme. Kayla greeted me with a smile. I asked for a manager. In the meantime Kayla offered to answer any questions and showed me the patio. Valerie came out and was extremely helpful. She gave me Art the managers business card to follow up with. These ladies were wonderful. I decided to stay and have breakfast and Lupe served me at the counter. It was fast, friendly, efficient, and delicious. Thank you everyone for an all around amazing experience. I am so excited to host a retro bridal shower here next month.

I love coming here for the milkshakes! The strawberry banana milkshake is my favorite. There burgers and fries are good as well. But what made me want to write a review about this place was the breakfast. The cinnamon roll french toast with scrambled eggs and bacon tasted great ! And above all only $ 5.99; Monday-Friday before 11:30am to get this deal. The only sad part from this review is that there is no more free ice cream sundae to unlock when you check into Unilocal.Which is a bummer :(but other that I will still come to this place ;) Sign up for there Eclub cause you do get a free milkshake and other offers!

It’s just a couple miles from Disneyland, but worth the trip compared to some of the crappier breakfast places in the area! The décor is adorable — like an old diner. Very quick and friendly service. I love the option to get beignets on the side of my two egg breakfast! The breakfast potatoes were delicious. Will be back when in the Anaheim area for a delicious breakfast served with a smile.

Not quite the Ruby’s Diner in either South Coast Plaza or in Newport Beach(Balboa Pier), but this had sufficed my palate. The interior décor looked pretty much the same as the location in South Coast, but a little more… modernized, I should say? I ordered the chicken tenders dinner(so it’s a full-size), and the chicken was lightly battered so the tenders end up crisp and GBD as I broke such tenders in half and the cajun fries were just out of this world(I don’t do coleslaw that often). The tenders combo come with six pieces of meat, so it was a good thing I didn’t have much to eat for breakfast this morning except for a coffee cake I had at Starbucks across the street from Ruby’s. The waitress, Thelma, I think her was her name, was very kind, as she took my drink order, before I’d perused through the menu. I was going to go for the Sriracha burger like last time when I was at South Coast Plaza, but I thought today, I’ll go with chicken instead of beef. Will I return or just go back to South Coast since the South Coast Plaza location is a little closer to where I am? For the price I paid, and for the long bus ride up Beach Bl., I’ll still go for the South Coast Plaza location.

Went here on a Tuesday morning around 9am, the place was empty, I was wondering if it was even open. We were heading home from disneyland and couldn’t do another day of Coco’s(no disrespect). Our server was named Oleyvo(sp?), super nice and attentive, the food was really good, much better than coco’s, definitely a nice change. The french toast was really good, the eggs and pancakes were much better than a large chain. Overall really good experience for a chain restaurant, glad we stopped by!

You know what I like about Ruby’s Diner? It’s a known entity. You know what you’re gonna get every time regardless of what location you go to. This is classic diner food at its finest. Pancakes, hash browns eggs for breakfast. Burgers, salads, fries for lunch and dinner. Oh, and the shakes. We can’t forget about the shakes at Ruby’s. They use real ingredients-no powders– in their shakes. Such a guilty pleasure that you have to do at least once in a while. I mean they’re loaded with calories but you have to do it at least once in a while. This location is particularly special because it’s actually a historical landmark. So if you’re a history nerd like I am you can eat here and take in some old Anaheim. And definitely go a few times so you can try a few different options. You won’t be disappointed.

I’m a huge Ruby’s fan in general, but I really adore this location. It’s the perfect place to head after Disneyland for a root beer float or a milkshake that won’t cost you your first born. Since I’m a huge ‘40s fan, walking into this place is like a dream. It’s so well themed that you’ll wish you had a fedora and overcoat to hang on the coat rack. It’s always clean, never too crowded, and overall just really pleasant to eat and hang out here. The food itself is really good! The burgers are super tasty and big enough to split. I’m a fan of the chicken tenders which are always served with bbq, ranch, and honey mustard. Breakfast all day is a huge plus and their milkshakes are NOT to be missed! Huge selection of flavors and of course, all made with real ice cream. The absolute best part about this place is the service. Even if you’re not a regular, you’ll feel like one. The servers AND busboys are so sweet and attentive. Anything you need, and they’re on it in an instant.

There’s something to be said about great service can make even a not so good meal taste better. For me personally, incredible food with crappy service means I won’t be back, but I’ve back to places with mediocre food and incredible service. Luckily, this Ruby’s has really great food and amazing service! First, the atmosphere of this location is wonderful. It’s extremely clean and in fact looks new. The energy inside is what really makes this place vibrant. I saw employees laughing with one other, costumers enjoying their food along with good conversation, and the smell of hamburgers. What more could you want? As for the food — the burgers are thick. Almost BBQ @ home style. They didn’t appear to be pre-maid frozen patties. We also had a cob salad, also really good. For desert, get the Itsy Bitsy Sundae! Perfect size if you wanted a little bit of ice cream to satisfy that after meal sweet tooth. In comparison to other Ruby’s(I’ve been to few), this one is truly my favorite. Good job everyone! Keep it up.

Funny, but when I’m at Ruby’s, I always have a hard time keeping my hands to myself. Besides also demanding photos before anyone even touches his or her food, I lay down the law: anything you’ve ordered is considered community property, it is completely at risk, and it will be regarded in its entirety as free reign from this moment forward. Those who take issue are looked down upon, and the bill is generally pushed their way. (I’m kidding… kind of…) However, it’s true: everything on Ruby’s menu just looks so fresh and tasty. Case in point: at out table – a motley quartet, of colorful sorts – we dove into the Hickory Burger, the Cobb Burger, the Ranch Burger, and… uh…ahem…the Cinnamon French Toast.(There’s always that one in the group, right?) We also split shakes: a Chocolate, a Strawberry, and an Oreo Shake. Along with Ruby’s Unilocal check-in – a free sundae – we damn near had ourselves a Thanksgiving dinner.(I was stuffed!) And the burgers, Ruby really knows how to impress. Seriously, the word«fresh» comes immediately to mind, not necessarily«creative» or «innovative,» not«different» or «new and unusual,» but definitely fresh, tasty, and satisfying. The Cobb’s blue cheese, The Ranch’s ranch dressing dousing, the Hickory’s stacked onion rings, and the French Toast’s cinnamon swirl: all of it, bona fide! And, no kidding, the Oreo Shake, superb!
