F Street Station is a bar with great bar food. I’ve been there 4 times already and plan on going back. The food is exceptional for the prices. They have great service and the food was really good. I am impressed with the variety of seafood they have and the quality of the food they serve. Simply, I recommend this place to anyone trying to find a quick bit to eat and don’t mind sitting at a bar. They have limited table seating.

A very interesting place in downtown Anchorage. They have a chef station with some bar stools around it and a level down they have a bar with stools around with some surrounding hi-top tables and bar stools. They have pretty good service with really good seafood including clams/crab that are really fresh and the best halibut sandwich I had while in Alaska.

Why would you have a bartender that do not know drinks??? Not only she gave us our steak well done! We told her med well!!! literally the meat was so dry!!! Oh well hard to get good help nowadays…

This place was highly recommended by many locals! It’s a very small place so be prepared to stand around to wait for a table because it’s seat yourself. Nice ambience and chill atmosphere! Got the fried halibut chunks and French onion soup! The halibut was so good, cooked to perfection and very chunky:) The soup was very salty but good nonetheless. Not a friendly atmosphere at all. Never was greeted by any staff. The staff gave short answers and our waitress had an attitude. Four stars because of the staff.

Fantastic little pub! This would be one of the oldest bars in downtown Anchorage. The bar keeps are on point, the food is tasty and the atmosphere is a friendly local vibe. I love the fact they have a giant block of cheese for taking… don’t worry its covered but free to patrons. My service has always been top notch, I do usually sit at the bar though. The halibut sandwich is a must have!

This is the place for great food and great drinks. Always busy but worth the wait! Butter clams and calamari are the best.

There was 7 of us total and coming at a busy time we thought we wouldn’t get seats but BOOM, people were checking out and we got in quick. Our waitress Alex was amazing! On point. Took care of us all. We didn’t have to wait long for drinks or food. She was amazing. We ordered the Caesar salad and grill cheese. It wasn’t the best. Where we were seating, the cooks are right in front of you, so he would crack jokes here and there and it was really cool. We had a great time! Was very happy about our experience Thank you again Alex!!!

Anytime my fiancé and I go to anchorage we try and stop by F Street Station. We usually start with the calamari(the best in anchorage) and oysters, the menu is great and atmosphere is nice. You can’t go wrong with the cheese and crackers to company a beer either.

For a pub, this place is everything you could want. Probably the best bang for your buck when it comes to seafood in anchorage. Clams, calamari, salmon and halibut are all excellent and very well priced. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff. Awesome drinks as well.

Warning: this place is like a drug. The food is actually addictive. Homemade real fries! Everything they make is especially yummy. I love the linguine and clams, and the halibut and chips(ask for the special spicy mayo). The French Onion soup is phenomenal. Fun to sit at the bar where they are cooking and watch the magic happen. Ooh! The Caesar salad! So good. It can get loud and«bar like» in here, and you have to jockey for a seat, but it’s worth every hoop.

F Street. To Anchorage-ites it’s probably known as the ‘meeting area for pilots’. From bush pilots to jet pilots to cargo pilots– everyone who flies a plane seems to grab a drink at this place when they’re in town over the weekend. On any given Friday and Saturday night this place is packed with a lot of single men(a lot of whom are pilots) and a few women in their 20’s to 30’s who want the attention of single men(did I mention a lot of them are pilots?). This place boasts it’s connection to the Alaskan air scene with stickers from multiple different airlines stuck to the walls and a lot of plane-oriented décor. It’s no wonder so many flying-guys feel comfortable here. This place is a bar by nature– but also a great little eatery. They have a good array of hard liquor, mixed drinks, beer, and wine. The drinks are served in mason jars and there’s always a random pitcher of water sitting around that you can refill your own glass with if you need some H2O to sober up with. With that being said, I don’t usually come here to drink. I come here to eat. You’ll pay fast-food prices for really good diner food. In other words– the food here is cheap, but it tastes amazing(and that’s coming from someone who’s eaten the food here sober many times). The sandwiches are awesome and I have to recommend the turkey sandwich– served warm. It is SO unbelievably yummy– and the ‘half sandwich’ rather than the whole sandwich is a whopping $ 5 but so filling that it feels like an entire meal. Their homefries are good. Nothing to rave about, but they make a great side– and for only $ 3, you shouldn’t pass them up. You get a big serving and they’ll do a good job of curing your salt craving. They’re also made fresh– which is unique for bar food, but something I really appreciate. The staff is friendly. There’s an open kitchen area where you can watch the chefs prepare your food. There’s also an open bar area. They have waiters servicing tables and even on the busiest nights they’re typically pretty good about making sure you’re greeted and served in a timely manner. It’s open seating, so just go in and grab a seat– but on weekends be forewarned this place is so crowded it’s hard to find a spot to stand, yet alone sit. On the other hand, on a typical weeknight this place is a great place to grab an affordable bite to eat. If you want to meet some bush pilots– this is the place to go. Also– if you’re a single girl looking to get drinks purchased for you– the pilots here have the money to do so. You’ll definitely get wined and dined, and chances are they’ll take you back to a nice hotel room to spend the night if you want. That’s not really my idea of a ‘good time’ though. I avoid this place on the weekend because it gets so crowded. On the other hand, on the weekdays I’m all about this place. If you want a busy weekend scene with a good array of drinks in a casual bar– F Street is the place for you. If you want some cheap food and a quick drink on a weeknight– F Street is also the place for you. Overall, it’s a fun place. There’s a huge block of cheese on the bar with a sign above it saying it’s for display and you shouldn’t eat it. Ignore the sign and take a slice– you’re supposed to eat it. Best cheddar cheese you’ll ever have(I promise). This bar is all about timing. I enjoy it on the weekdays and hate it on the weekends– but depending on your personal preference you may like it the other way around. Either way– you gotta try their cheap food. It’s some of the best and most affordable in Alaska.

It was super busy at 5:30pm on a Sunday, so be prepared to wait a bit for a table, or just mosey up to the bar and get your food there(like we did). I was with my airline crew, so we loved all the flight stickers above the bar — definitely a crew hangout. The beer was delicious and cold, and most of us got the beer-bettered halibut, which was to die for. Very tasty, and the food came a lot quicker than I was expecting, considering how busy they were. The waitstaff were friendly, and overall we had a great time! I’ll definitely come back again on my next layover!

F Street is a like a cult movie. Either you«get it» or you don’t. You’re either an «F Street person» or you’re not. I’m going to be a total hypocrite and say that I exist somewhere in the middle. This is probably the best place downtown to get solid, no-frills(mostly pub, e.g. «fried») food without huge wait times and loads of tourists. The folks that hang out here seem to be mostly regs that know each other. This is probably a result of its being located one block off the main drag(4th St). I enjoy this place. Some things I like: — Beer out of mason jars. Not sure why, but it somehow seems to taste better? Mind over matter? — Rowdy, friendly crowds. Probably a tad bit«preppier»(whatever THAT means) than most downtown bars. — Solid food for a solid price. On the other side of the coin, the menu here is pretty limited(as are the taps). The breakfast menu only consists of benedict and not much else. Although, I came here not liking benedicts and they worked with me to give me something different!(thanks chef!) Definitely give F Street a shot, at least once. Find out if you’re part of the cult. ALSO: they have a big cheese block that you’re not supposed to eat… that people eat. It’s weird.

Stopped in for lunch and what can I say? I thought F Street Station for me was very mediocre. Wasn’t anything that really grabbed my attention except the grilled chicken sandwich. And that was only because it’s ingredients reminded me of a chicken caesar salad on bread. Lunch and dinner prices are pretty much in the same, reasonably between the 10-$ 15 range. If you can’t have sea products I suggest you not stop in for dinner since the only thing you could probably have is their Fstreet pasta — which too just sounds alright. It’s a small little tucked away venue. Check out the bar area for a large block of Tillamook cheese and saltines. That’s something a little different, right?

We had a great time… The food was great, the atmosphere was great… It had the feel of an awesome hole in the wall joint. The staff took care of us and kept our drinks full. We are definitely going to go back!

Excellent food here and prices are reasonable! I ordered the halibut sandwich and my date had crab stuffed halibut. Both meals were amazing! If you sit at the food bar it’s fun to watch them prepare the food. Don’t forget to find the candy jar and free cheese and crackers!

Monday at the F Street is a rewarding day for lunch. They have a chicken fried steak special that is accompanied with yummy mashed potatoes a Caesar salad and the right amount of gravy that doesn’t mask the flavor and freshness of the food. If you arrive before noon parking is pretty easy and service is pretty quick. They can get very busy after the noon hour so you may have to wait for a seat. The service staff is always great and always a nice atmosphere.

They always seem to be so busy. My first time here, we couldn’t find a table or seats at the bar so we left. Yesterday, we were finally able to snag some seats around the bar where the chefs were cooking. The chefs were so nice and very attentive. They provided better service than our waitress. After reviewing the menu, they asked what we wanted and started cooking immediately! I really appreciated that! And sitting around that bar area, you can see them cook your food! The food was done super quick. They serve the best beer battered halibut! It’s fried perfectly and the fish is so tender inside. I had mine with a side of Caesar salad instead of fries. They offer a full order or half order. Half order was the perfect size for me! My husband had the halibut sandwich. He loved it! His came with a big stash of fries. The fries are delicious as well. So crispy! This is seriously an awesome place to eat at. Amazing food at such an affordable price.
