These guys are top notch. Owner knows his stuff and you can tell. I started coming here in July 2015 and since then he has blown out walls, added couches, added staff. Barely even the same shop I started coming to.
This all happened because these guys do great work. Plus it’s a good time every time I walk in. Lots of good jokes being told. I genuinely enjoy stopping in here for a haircut.

Hair Science is a unique blend of personal service, professionalism, and an olde style artistic approach. Barber shops like this are few and far in between these days. So if you’re looking for a shop as highly skilled in charismatic customer service as they are with a straight razor, make your way in to see them. I’ve got my standing appointment set.

Fantastic, a real breath of fresh air. For those of you out there still going to franchise chains for your haircuts, do yourself a favor — make it a priority to get your next haircut here.
The owner and staff have an easy-​going, yet extremely professional demeanor. These guys take pride in their craft, and it shows through the whole experience. The haircut was great and the price was very reasonable; however, the aspect of this place I appreciated the most was that the staff were genuinely enthusiastic about giving you a great haircut experience. Gone are the days of getting haircuts from people who clearly don’t care, and try and shuffle you through as quick as possible.
I never saw myself as a person who would schedule an appointment for a haircut, but this place has made me one.

The professionalism. The friendliness. The comfort. All are reasons to use this place to cut your hair. But the best reason, the haircuts. Absolutely the best barber shop I’ve ever been to. Come here once and you probably won’t go anywhere else.

Shawn gave me what I’ve been looking for in a cut for several months in Anchorage. Other stylists don’t get it, some are hot and nice to look at but then just rush the job and it ends up looking cheap.
Shawn was very professional and took ample time to get all the details correct. I will be coming back regularly.

You know when you walk in a place and you get a good feeling? It just feels right? Yep. This is that place. A real barber shop, with all the right things, great attitudes, most important– great cuts! Very classy!
And hey, bow ties and Motown? What else could you ask for?

Cole hooked me up with a great haircut and beard trim yesterday. I was able to make a same day appointment. Both Shawn and cole were great guys the and environment was super friendly. Cole is a student at the barber schoo. He did my haircut for a great price and was supervised by Shawn, the owner. I’ve been to a lot of barbershops in california with a reputation and got the same called haircut here in anchorage for fraction the price at Hair Science. I highly recommend going to these guys for all of your cuts. Ill be returning again summer while living in anchorage for haircut and beard trims. Thanks again guys! DAN.

I’ve been looking for a place that can cut my hair in Alaska, I’m very impressed in the detail and attention to your hair cut. Very cool and professional guys, make you feel at home. Even the vibe of the place is awesome!!! They strive for excellence!!!
