IHOP

Food was decent, service definitely could have been better. Our waitress was more concerned with other customers, who may have been her friends, rather than provide us with utensils and ample napkins. Honestly, may be the last time we visit this IHOP. We have been here about three times and the results have been the same.

My daughter and I were here this morning and our experience was horrible. I ordered the pumpkin waffles and chicken and my daughter ordered the turkey avocado BLT sandwich. We also had a side of fries. Not one thing came to our table hot or as it should have. A runner brought me my pumpkin waffle without the chicken. The waffle was cold too. We were also brought an extra sandwich which the runner took back. When the waiter came to our table and asked what was wrong i told him i was missing my chicken. He acknowledged that but never apologized. 15 minutes later my chicken tenders arrived. Warning, don’t expect your pumpkin waffle and chicken ro arrive to your table resembling the picrure on the menu because you will be sorely disappointed. The fries were luke warm. The turkey on my daughters sandwich was ice cold. I mean ‘ice’ cold. There was no apology, no discount so i guess the poor aervice and poor quality of food is expected here. I will not be back. I don’t come here often because there are other similar restaurants around but this will be my last visit. Good luck to all that venture to this lication.

Stopped in for early morning breakfast. Older female server with nose ring comes out to take our party of three order. We go around the table and place our drink order, comes back around to me and I start to place my food order when I look up and realize the server is walking away…
Me: Ma’am? Ma’am? (Subtle whistle) She turns around and gives me a look from hell… oops!
Me: Can we place our food order???
Her: (No comment)
Me again: Bad day?
Her: No, just don’t appreciate people whistling at me.
Me: sorry, I did try to grab your attention by saying ma’am 2x.
Her: (fake smile and proceeds to take food order)
From that point on I received death stares from her the rest of our stay, but she never did return to our table.
When the food was ready, instead of her bringing it out, she sent a cook to the table with the plates.
I’m not one to judge people on physical appearance until the point where one’s cleanliness and sanitation affect me and then I draw the line.
The cook who brought us our orders (short, long hair, no upper front teeth) while über polite had long fingernails with a repulsive amount of dirt under them and to make matters worse he had no gloves on and his fingers were touching portions of our food.
Hard to say whether he was wearing gloves at the time our meal was being prepared on the line.
Needless to say, some of the party was so disgusted their food was sent back.
I elected to keep my entrée and test my immune system.
Those plates sent back were given to the hostess who had come out and asked if everything was okay. We explained our story and she not only removed those particular orders from the bill but zero’d out the entire bill. I thanked her and ensured «she» received a tip.
No manager on duty at 7:30am to report the problem so hopefully he/​she gets this feedback now.

Not impressed… waitress was rude, it took almost an hour to get our breakfast and when we finally got our food it was cold. This experience reinforces the reason on why I usually avoid this place!

Probably the best IHOP I’ve ever been to. The food is always good and comes out fast! Friendly staff, Mike the manager is always very professional and nice and makes it a point to say hi and make sure my experience is a great one!

Literally the only good thing on the menu is the pancakes. Everything else is gross! Not to mention the employees they have here look dirty and not anyone I would want around me food. I witnessed a waitress not even wash her hands after using the restroom. The seating hostess guy had a black eye. Needless to say I have not been back there ever since, and that was about a year ago.

Good service. Over priced. Usually crowded on weekends. A great alternative with better pricing would be Kavas down the street.

While I expect typical service and food at a chain restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised at this IHOP! Good and friendly service. Food was good as well. They offer a military discount.

I don’t even know why I came here. Food is so slow and terrible. People can’t control their kids. Kids are screaming and running wild in this place. Go eat local

I am giving this iHop a 5 because of its overall consistency, cleanliness, and good service each time I have gone. I have visited at different times and ordered different plates, never had an issue with food or service. I always get a smile and polite service, even when I’ve been in a rush. Every establishment has a hiccup here and there, but my experience has constantly been on the high scale.

Waffles and pancakes dry, service was very slow, children were allowed to run around and play with bathroom door. Staff did nothing. Pancake were ok, food was barely warm.

This is the worst IHOP I have ever been to, not just in Alaska but in any state I have visited. The service is not even service, it’s just people standing around doing nothing but wasting your time and money. The management, or at least what you can call management, doesn’t even seem like they know what they are doing, let alone that they care what’s going on. The food is horrible, the hash browns are so greasy and almost not even cooked all the way, the eggs have no flavor, the only thing worth a try is the pancakes thank goodness. I don’t know if this place is privately owned or what, but they need to fire everyone and I mean everyone, and start fresh because there is no fixing this mess of a place. So save your time and your money, go somewhere else or stay at home.

This place was all kinds of disgusting. We came in for my husband’s bday and as soon as we walked in. We were hit with the overwhelming odor of sweat and I don’t know what else. When we were finally sat down, I could see the chef from where I was. He was wearing headphones as well as being able to see the waitresses texting and talking on their phones.
It took about 35min to get our food, most of which was inedible. My son couldn’t even finish his Mac n cheese. :(
Even worse, when we got home, my husband and I started vomiting from food poisoning after eating from this place. I emailed and called corporate IHOP to complain and never got a response back. Terrible company.

This place offers consistent quality and service all the times I have been here. We came here for dinner on a Sunday evening and found there was no wait time. The place was pretty clean and we promptly received service. Our waiter was very friendly, funny, and attentive. I enjoyed much yummy greasiness grilled cheese. :-) while I prefer this place for breakfast I still enjoyed dinner I just find that the menu needs a bit more.

Me and my babe would always order breakfast to go from here. Love it. Always fast service. Good quality food. When ever we have late night munchies we always go here.

After coming in on a less than busy morning, we waited as three parties with similar size were seated before us; all three came in after us. To make matters worse, there were numerous open tables throughout the restaurant. The service here is always lacking and given that the food is nothing special, I am done with this place.

Folks… it’s IHOP which is, admittedly a small step down from Denny’s. If you’re expecting healthy non-​greasy food… I repeat… this is IHOP.
At IHOP, nobody cares. About anything ever. Accepting this will make your visit more pleasant.
They have one server and her name is Loretta. She only works on Tuesday’s. If you visit on any other day you will not be eating. Loretta never makes eye contact much like the cashier who frowns at the register. Loretta is however adept at tossing around half and half — but only four at a time.
If you order something expect Loretta to roll her eyes. Your ticket will disappear into the kitchen along with Loretta. Your ticket will make an appearance when they want money but Loretta is probably hanging out the back smoking.
The food is either frozen or well done. The Ice cream is usually frozen thankfully.
If you absolutely must order — stick with the pancakes. They don’t usually require the cooks to know anything other than to flip on occasion and they’re usually tasty.

Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever received at any franchise breakfast joint. We first visited this ihop on a Saturday morning around 1100am with a party of five. Given the day and time we arrived, we all expected a significant wait time. However we only waited to be seated for approximately 20 minutes or less. Not bad in my opinion for a Saturday morning. Where the rating takes a huge nose-​dive begun once we were seated. From the time the hostess seated us, it seriously took 14 minutes for the waitress to arrive and take our drink order. Now, I only started tracking the time once I felt it was a ridiculous wait and just that block was 14 minutes. From there we waited 16 minutes to actually receive our drinks and a total of 43 minutes to receive our food from when we placed our orders. This is an astronomical wait time given the size if the wait staff, regardless of the day.
Though I recognize that our particular waitress may have been new and perhaps some of the cooks, we decided to give it another shot. This time the husband and I went on a week day around 830am. Zero wait time for a booth, in fact, there were more open seating than taken so not busy at all. Given my previous encounter, I started the timer immediately. This time an 8 minute wait for drink order and 8 minutes to receive the drinks after we placed our beverage order. This part boggles my mind, because as we were waiting for drinks, we saw three wait staff shooting the breeze by the register laughing it up. Wtf!!! Once we placed our food order it only took 15 minutes to have the plates in front of us which is significantly sooner than our previous visit. I will say that overall the good quality is good, the facility is clean, but the service of the staff is unsatisfactory which to me, warrants 2 stars. The poor service outshines the good food, as experience can ruin it all.

Disgusting! While waiting to be seated, two of us watched the Cashier/​Manager (with his back to us, at the kitchen) using his bare hands to get cooked sausages from a bowl and put them on a couple of plates before sending them to the customers. He wiped his hands on his pants! Then, he came to the cash register and handled change for paying customers. Yuck! We quietly exited and had a good laugh at him and this IHOP as we scooted for the car. Customers, BEWARE! We bet that he handled more foods afterwards. We went to Flo’s Pancake House at 335 Muldoon Road and had a very nice brunch.

They are always busy when I go there but always provide excellent customer service. Food is always yummy and just two more words: PUMPKIN PANCAKES! :) (seasonal/​winter time only) YUM! The end… lol
