This place was a absolute disappointment! It has gone downhill continually over the past 10 years or so! The tables and seating were not well maintained and the padding kept coming up from the booth as we tried to slide in. The service was also very sub par and the steak I ordered was a hideous specimen of cow! I will not be back! GOTOTEXASROADHOUSE!!!

I was disappointed. We sat at a wobbly table. My wife had a wobbly chair due to loose screws. We got one loaf of bread without an offer for more. They didn’t give any consideration to their lighting as I think they’re using 100W bulbs at the tables which means you can’t lean forward or you’ll get blinded. Food was ok.

My self and my girlfriend eat here today. The food was ok up to the point I found a large mosquito in my salad. The staff was kind and the manager took care of the bill but after putting a mosquito the size of my finger nail in my mouth I couldn’t eat anything else. Sorry, but we won’t be going back.

I wanted to enjoy this place. On some levels i did. The ribeye steak i ordered was a bit overcooked but not much to complain about. The biggest problem i had was this place was just not worth it when comparing value for dollar up against other steakhouses in the city. A steak with steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes set me back 40 bucks. The service was sub par. Found myself asking for refills multiple times. This corporate restaurant was nothing special and for sure below average of what anchorage has to offer.

BECKYWASAWESOME! We were passed off to her because our server«had to leave». Although, throughout the course of our meal he was sitting talking to a couple across the room from us. His lose, definitely our gain. Becky was patient and had answers for my 3000 questions. She even offered suggestions that were phenomenal. I gave them a 3 star is because my husband and I both ordered the filet medium. His came out medium rare and mine can out med well. I also was warned about the garlic herb shrimp being small. I should’ve listened. They were overcooked also. On top of the fact that gave me 2 halves of a jumbo prawn that was supposed to be a lobster tail. All in all the food wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t what was represented on the advertising. Unless they used a telephoto lens for the pics!

Service was friendly and the food was good. To top it all off the bill was under $ 40.00 and my SO and I were full after just splitting one plate with 2 lobster tails(small but delicious) and a 6oz Filet Mignon(cooked just how we ordered it) and fresh steamed broccoli with unlimited drinks and a Bloomin Onion for an appetizer!

My husband and I came in for a later dinner. I can’t even begin to say how impressed and happy we were with our service. The staff and management were very friendly and it was genuine. When we got my steak it was still really pink(I don’t like seeing any pink) I was just going to try to eat it and the waitress offered to cook it longer for me. After saying yes and waiting only a couple moments, the manager brought I back out with a fresh side(I had already half eaten the original side that was brought out) Then the waitress came back to check on us as well. We always love to come in for a good steak and we will definitely be back!

It was great. The food and service was good. The waitress was able to suggest food that was in line with my particular food diet so that my alergies wouldn’t effect me. I can’t have gluten or dairy. So it was nice they were able to suggest food that went along with that.

The worst service I have ever had in Anchorage! I have been to this location since 2004 and 1÷12÷15 was my last visit! There aren’t many quality places to eat in Anchorage at a fair price, so Outback is an option. Now, I live in Seattle and am a business traveler with decent expectations of the place I used to visit frequently for the past 10 years. I sat at a table near the bar and nobody greeted me for 10 minutes. It was not busy in there. The waitress walked by me multiple times. The bartender had to intervene to get me a menu. Water and bread was not offered, as I had to ask for it as if I was a nuisance to go to Outback. Please do not waste your time here! I simply wanted decent service. I had my laptop on checking e-mails from customers and also doing some paperwork and grabbing a cocktail, but everyone blew me off for 10 minutes. Either is was the color of my skin or it was that I was a business traveler doing work and eating dinner at the same time and was not good enough for this establishment. I highly doubt that as this place has gone down hill! Tables around me were getting bread and water, but not me unless I interrupted the waitress walking by.

— ordered a ribeye they claimed it was well marbled. It’s was cooked to the right temp a perfect medium the but steak was just a horrible cheap cut of ribeye. Overpriced and took way too long to get it out to us. Wife ordered a filet mignon asked for it to be well done. Cooked well done but very dry which is to be expected sometimes. It was a small cut which they butterfly cut to help cook faster but still took way to long. Overall I expected better cuts of meat for those prices. Staff was very courteous.

As every other chain restaurant in Alaska, this Outback is a shell of what an Outback should be. The service was decent, but all of the food was half-assed. Alaska seriously needs to learn about quality and customer service… this Outback is a disgrace in comparison to any of the other stores I’ve been in.

Had a wonderful early dinner experience. Our hostess was very friendly and courteous and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was on her game and very attentive too! She paid attention to the small details such as replenishing our blooming onion sauce. Our cups were never empty and there was always bread :-) As far as the food goes, I ordered the blooming onion and man oh man, it was on point today! It was nice and crunchy! I also ordered the half rack of baby back ribs. It was very tasty and delicious but I was disappointed that the meat did not fall off the bone. I still enjoy dining here and have had no issues thus far. Sorry I did not have a chance to post pictures, but I was huuuuuun-gry and devoured my meal.

It’s been over a decade since I visited an Outback Steakhouse. I never harbored any ill memories of them. I simply found the experience precisely meh. I think I’d have gone with three stars if it wasn’t for the high price point. I just found everything to be okay. The blooming onion had onion paper in it, which was unpleasant when I got a bite of it, and there was a fair amount of oil on the plate. My 6oz sirloin and shrimp, at $ 21, had a vein of grizzle in it and was a little on the tough side for sirloin. The shrimp were unremarkable, but not«bad». My garlic mashed potato was okay, but just okay. Overall, I can’t say the food was bad, it just wasn’t GREAT. I’m not sure if it is just this location, or the chain in general. I wouldn’t have a problem if the price points were a little lower.

This was my first visit to outback steak house. After we were seated it took about 5 min before our waitress came to our table. She was not very knowledgeable about the menu. My wife’s order was missing 3 ingredients from her salad.(Chicken, corn & bacon). The server when we finally got her attention acknowledged that, went to get the bacon and corn. By the time she brought the chicken she was all done. She did give us a free dessert. The prices are high and every thing is Alacart. Don’t think we will go back.

Terrible experience here. The only good thing about this was the salad to be honest. We had the calamari as a starter. They were super rubbery. My fish and chips were alright, the tarter sauce was not really fresh and had a noticable browning on top of the dish. Yuck. Terrible experience, go elsewhere.

Dear Outback waiters and waitresses, When a customer asks for A1 steak sauce, automatically offer to replace the steak. A1 serves one purpose in life, to make boot leather palatable. Good sides, appetizers, and drinks. But good night, hire a cook who knows how to cook a steak.

After a failed attempt to eat across the street at Buffalo Wild Wings, we took our famished selves to Outback. This was a first for me, so I didn’t know what to expect. Our server, who had obviously had some excellent training by corporate, made our dining experience very smooth. Drinks were served promptly, as we refills, our meal and dessert. The food was good, the portions were appropriate and everything was as expected. I wasn’t wowed, but I wasn’t displeased. The menu is limited, so as far as chains go, TGIF’s has a much more extensive menu. I had the chicken/rib and shrimp combo. The chicken was good, but slightly overcooked, but moist enough. Good flavor. Very tasty fries. Ribs fell off the bone. My sweetie’s steak was cooked to order as he liked, baked potato was smaller than expected though. NY Cheesecake was very tasty and moist, just like back home. The margarita – which I had an extra shot added to for only an additional 50 cents– knocked me on my ass. Nathan’s IPA was ginormous, but also cost $ 8. The restaurant was clean, but the hightop stools were super uncomfortable. The rungs on the chairs are in the wrong place and unless you’re a tall dude, your feet dangle. Wish I had sat a booth. The mounted aligator was super cool. And who knew there were so many kinds of kangaroos. A-OK experience.
