Good basic eats and ok service. The chicken fried steak is EXCELLENT.

Overpriced and bartenders with attitudes. Not worth it

Excellent wine selection — although they were out of my favorite the second night I visited. I tried a cosmopolitan instead. Good decision. They don’t scrimp on the alcohol in drinks as most bars do. Very strong but good drink! Hummus was good but they could improve it with some diced cucumbers and diced red onions instead of the hard chewy sun dried tomatoes. Pita bread was excellent! Had the pesto pasta with chicken and artichoke hearts the second night. Very generous with the chicken and the artichoke hearts — thank you! Pasta itself was a bit overlooked however. Staff was phenomenal — great service! I will definitely be back!

Piper’s is located in an extremely odd spot. You may even drive by it, work near it, or even live near it… and not even realize it. It’s literally camouflaged. It sits on the side of the road, obscured by large trees. You can only access it from a service road. Another odd thing about it: it has the FASTEST WiFi in all of Alaska. Weird right? Most Alaska WiFi is not even faster than your cellphone, let alone your home broadband connection. The speeds I was getting here(70 mbps), are faster than most folks’ home internet. Impressive. The food is a kind of hit and miss. I’ve been for breakfast and I’ve been for lunch. The breakfast is great. Mostly classic breakfast dishes with a bit more of a fanciful touch. The type of food is somewhere between your typical diner fare and something like Snow City café. The lunch, was just OK. I wasn’t all that impressed. I got a BLT. It was pricey and it was mostly just flavorless bread. Besides the amazing WiFi, the other great thing about Piper’s are the hours! They one of the latest places in town to get a hot meal in Anchorage.(our town is notoriously bad for late night eats) I’ve never been for dinner or for the bar scene here. I’ve heard it’s a good place to watch a game and swill some brews, if that’s your thing.

I was taking my family to the airport and wanted to get them fed before they flew out. We usually go to the Millenium but decided to change it up and go to Pipers. Hugh mistake! It took us ten minutes to get our drinks, we never got our food, and we had to leave eventually so my family could catch their flight. We couldn’t find our server, the woman with the strong Spanish accent, but then we saw her stand up behind the counter in the back talking on her cell phone. When we told her we needed to pay so they could catch their flight she was extremely rude. If you want prompt friendly service don’t go to Pipers, go to the Millenium!

Perfect spot for breakfast near the collection of airport hotels. Many delicious choices for egg dishes, accompanied by friendly service. Even when the lounge is closed, the restaurant side has several big screen TVs for your viewing pleasure.

Excellent service everytime, consistently old school fabulous up in here. Was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, calamari was awesome with tasty dipping sauces that were gastropub style, hits not misses. Huge salads with fresh veggies, yummy sandwiches. While the look of the patio could be improved, hey where else can you have an awesome meal and watch float planes take off and land?

The drinks are good. The food is hit and miss. The price on sea food items is super high for the quality and area. It’s friggin alaska. 17 bucks for a avacado and shrimp salad. 6 small shrimp and a¼ an avocado… Ehhh… If you got to eat here don’t go for the healthy side. Go with the fried fish it’s huge.

Great sports bar and restaurant. I found Piper’s last year and it is our favorite place. A sports bar where you can bring your wife or date and not be embarrassed by the language of the other customers. Food is really good either in the bar or restaurant. The staff are friendly and do a fine job. Would recommend to anyone that likes a nice place with good food.

Service was stupid slow it didn’t even make any sense on how slow it was. Lady walked by me and my family 4 to 6 times them asked if I needed a menu. I laughed it off then she came back didn’t even ask if me or my family wanted anything to drink. I mean isn’t that servering 101. Sat there for 45 Mins with no one helping out. Had to walk out kids were thirsty and hungry. Will I go there again? Yea just so I could sit there for hr before I’m served then after probably just walk out they’ll never know lol lol lol. Never go there again

I have eaten here many times in the past, but as of recent the quality of the food has gone way downhill. The Alaskan Cache Omelette used to be my favorite on the menu but lately I find the quality of the meats inside have been reduced to meat like substances. I’m not sure if they are trying to reduce costs, but it shows. When I attempted to explain that I wanted to the waitress I found it hard to communicate due to the poor English. I will need to look for another favorite spot.

I love how there are so many T. Vs in this sports bar, very mellow and not that crazy loud. Linda in the bar always greets us with a smile and a friendly hello! Half appetizers from 5−7…great service!

I ate in the lounge, not the restaurant. The menu is the same in both. The food was not prepared to my liking. Ordered medium rare and received a well done $ 24 little rib eye. No big deal. I ate it and moved on. The beers were cold. My server Gail was sweet. I liked the atmosphere, its laid back and not stuffy. I was by far the youngest person in the place, including the staff. Again, not a problem, but want to paint an accurate picture for people looking for a place to eat. Lots of nice TV’s to watch sports. I’ll be back tomorrow to watch football. The happy hour menu says 5−7pm is half price appetizers. Not sure about drink specials

Piper’s is the kind sports bar /restaurant mix that still attracts all the old lifelong Lake Hood pilots, but still is able to keep up with the ever changing demands of today’s younger bar going crowd. It’s got a lot of character, most of which comes from its tastefull collection of aircraft history memorabilia. That atmosphere combined with the fantastic food selection will leave you yearning to return. Happy hour is from 5 – 7, but even without it the prices are more than reasonable for the amount and quality of your food. Definitely give it a try, the chicken nachos are the bomb.

Had the catch of the day. Very good, breaded just right. Tried the patio, but rain forced us in. If the weather is good, the patio is a nice place to eat and watch the planes.

Just OK. Seafood pasta needed more spice not bad but just two star. Had the halibut was delicious. Service was good the atmosphere lacked a bit for a nice romantic dinner with your husband. We were just on our way to the airport so was a good choice

Love this place. Hadnt been here in a while but hasnt changed a bit(recently renovated). Service, food and drink selection are awesome. Visiting Anchorage… its about 3 minutes to/from the airport. Good food and good people make a hidden gem in Anchorage.
