It’s usually loud in here, because of the M1a1 standard exposed ceiling that every eatery opened within the past 5 years uses when they’re shooting for hip and fresh. The food is good enough and the beer of course is great. Prices are as hip and fresh as an exposed ceiling in an airport eatery. Service is spotty– some are great, other servers are obviously miserable and don’t like people. If you like listening to loud cussing drunk neckbeards from Oregon and Washington tell tales of badass commercial fishing you’ll love Silver Gulch. If you just want to have good food and good beer and some relative peace and quiet, go to Norton Sound.

Great place to stop and get a pint or a small bite before your flight. I would have liked it to be a bit quicker, but all-in-all it was a good experience. I had a couple of the beers and a black and blue burger. It was pretty good, I really liked to scotch egg, it’s not typical airport food so it was a nice change. The atmosphere didn’t feel like you were in the airport, even with the planes right outside the window. I wished I had more time to sample more beers.

My favorite stop while waiting for the flight. Great for a beer or five and a snack. The lemongrass infused wheat is my personal pick. One can buy Airline ready booze for export to the lower 48 as well

Great menu, great service, a tad pricey but it is(a) Alaska, and(b) the airport. Wish they would do something about the dining area«décor” — too much like a truck stop or high school cafeteria back there.

Very good food, even better coffee topped by Fernando who served my table. If you have to wait for a plane at ANC, the view, the food and the service all add up.

Stopped in here for a preflight munch and a couple a beers. We got the beers, but our food never showed up. Told the manager we waited quite some time for onion rings and he didn’t really seem to care. Steer clear of this place…

Super– nice manager David was friendly and his staff right –on! The beer– cheese soup was delicious and served with a hot pretzel bread stick. Even a cup was plenty filling for an in– between — flight meal. Home made root beer delicious!

Yum! My sister in law recommended hitting up this place before we hopped on our flight. They have a bunch of options for quick, portable meals you can take on your flight. I got the chicken pocket(made with their pizza dough), it was piping hot and stayed warm until I pulled it out at 30,000 feet. I got one for the hubby and I to share, and after biting into it I really wished I had gotten one for each of us! Much better quality than most the food you experience in airports, I’ll remember this place next time I’m at the Anchorage airport!

Had the Santa Special for $ 11… It was THEBEST deal I have had on excellent food in an airport in a very long time… Possibly ever. Not to mention the Santa Special was awesome! Thanks!

This was a good find at ANC. We first looked at the Chilis across the way, but spotted the Silver Gulch sign. That it’s an Alaska business decided it for us. I had the haddock fish and chips which was great. The fish batter was light but crispy, and the fish was delicious. My wife had the cheese soup that she, who normally don’t like cheese soups, adored. The beers were all good. Service was efficient and quick. Great place to grab a bite, especially if you’re catching a late flight.

This is a great spot to hang out, get some grub and drink a beer while waiting for your flight. The beers are good and the food is alright. Try the pizza!

Twice a disaster, not going back. I went here when it first open and it was pretty unrewarding but today I thought I’d try again. Wrong. I was seated and made my decisions. The waitress came. I ordered a beer they were out of. She couldn’t tell me any comparable substitutes. She couldn’t tell me which beers on tap and which were ales. I tried to order a soft drink but she didn’t know if they had those. Finally I got a soft drink and my «pocket sandwich» which is advertised as being designed to carry on to airplanes. I asked for no jalapeños. The sandwich came and of course it had jalapeños which by itself is nbd but also contained the seeds which made it very hard to eat for me. More importantly it was was in a pita pocket drowning in some kind of heavy sauce. As soon I picked it up it disintegrated, the bottom falling out all over my hands shirt and lap. That was enough for me. At this point I asked for a refund. The server said she could not comp me anything because the manager was not on the premises. While all this was going on there was a table next to me that had not even been greeted and when the woman tried to catch the servers attention the server held up her finger(as if to a little child) and said«just wait you’re next.» The server then had the audacity to ask me if I had signed the credit card receipt. I went across the aisle to Chilis and had much better burger beer and service, perhaps the most damning statement of all.

If you want me to explain to you why a Fairbanks-based(ok, technically, Fox-based) brewery is in the Anchorage airport: I can’t. I can say, however, that this is a very solid choice for airport quaffing and munching. Every time I’ve been here I’ve had great service, great beer, and great food. Some of the airport eateries really seem to be «phoning it in» on service and food… not here. The pizzas are terrific and they always have something solid and hoppy on tap. I’ve also never been late for a flight despite sometimes stopping in for a pint when I really should have been getting on a flight… PROTIP: you can get a growler to go! You can’t drink it out the plane though :(No good deeds go unpunished.

Located in concourse«c» Silver Gulch is a last minute Alaskan brewery to hit before heading out. The beers are great and the service is wonderful! The food isn’t bad but it’s better than most places in the airport. There is a gift shop if you want to grab a last minute tee from Alaska. You can also purchase a growler full of tasty beer and take it on the plane. You can’t drink it on the plane though. This is a great last taste of Alaska if your visiting. You can get to it no matter which concourse you are flying out of. They only serve their beer but also do mixed drinks. Come by and ask for Laura. She is a hoot!

I stopped in last year and thought the food was much better. I ordered the Italian expecting the calzone type Italian sand which(which they describe as pizza). The calzone was a pita and the Italian with reindeer sausage was just ground beef and marinara. I won’t order that again…

Worst. Service. Ever. I’d give this place zero stars if I could strictly based on their management. I’ve been to this location twice now, and one additional time in Fairbanks. Unfortunately this place has lost the charm and customer service that Fairbanks is known for. First time it took 20 minutes to track somebody down for a to go order and and another 30 minutes for a sandwich. There was no line! And there is a large to go window! Second time I was with my family. We tried to eat in, and were told they only have 3 tables that sit more than 2 and the only one available was wedged between the other 2. We couldn’t even pull out the chairs! We asked to combine 2 — 2 seat tables in a hugely open area and they said no. So we sat at a 2 person table and rather than serve us, they made us wait for 15 minutes and then the manager came over and tried to force us to the table that nobody could sit at. I explained to him how impossible that is and he made zero effort to accommodate us. I left. I will not support terrible service. I worked in the industry for 10 years and find terrible management unsatisfactory. I am appalled at the service here. The manager is a useless lump. The menu isn’t that great, just different from the other chain offerings. I am an active duty service member that passes through this location frequently, and will NEVER give them my business again.

This is pretty decent for an airport. It’s a sizable space(for an airport) with lots if windows so you can watch the planes. There’s a bar area, plenty of tables, and a little store where you can buy beer to take with you. I opted to sit at the bar. The bartender was a little weird and not exactly attentive. The beer was good. Only had a pretzel with cheese dip(which was tasty) for food, so I can’t really comment on eating here. But for a place to kill time while waiting for you flight, this spot is decent.

There are a few restaurants in the airport to enjoy. Thought I would try this one. They have plenty of tables especially with outlets for cell phone charging. Tried the draft root beer which had a very full flavor. Enough that I could not finish it. I also tried the salmon fish and chips. They had good flavor and the fish was cooked properly. It came with a nice tartar sauce as well. To round it out I got Parmesan potato wedges. They offer potatoes in a few different flavors so I thought I would try that one. Quick and efficient service especially for an airport setting.

I was sadly underwhelmed with the food. The Septemberfest sausage was soggy and the kraut bland. The best sausage IMO is crisp and juicy and this was not it. The beer selection is fantastic though and I highly recommend the beer shop. It pained me to leave AK without hauling a crate of beer back to NY with me but I didn’t want to check in any luggage. Well hello to this oasis at the anchorage airport that allows you to stock up on some of your Alaska favs such as talkeetna, midnight and kenai river and bring it along the plane. Heck you could even get a growler for the plane ride although management discourages you from chugging growlers on the plane. This 11 hr flight just got interesting…

Only a few restaurant at the Anchorage airport, Chili’s, Silver Gulch Brewing and another seafood restaurant. We chose Silver Gulch Brewing because we love their beer selections!!! The service is very friendly & efficient. We love it~ Porter Beer Cheese Soup — OMG!!! I wish I order the bowl size and not the cup size. SOGOOD! So creamy and NOT salty at all. The handmade pretzel is so fresh, just out of the oven. I wish I can side order a basket of pretzel! hahaha~ Pub Cesar Dinner Salad — Okay. fresh ingredient. Green Thumb Pizza — It is a vegetarian pizza. Love the pesto sauce on the pizza. All the yummy vegetables!
