Came for the seafood chowder and was duly impressed. It’s outstanding, and well worth a trip. Shrimp and fish are cooked separately and added on top, so they’re firm and delicious instead of boiled in to mush. Had fish and chips, too. The fish was thin cut and breaded, not battered. That left it much less greasy than more traditional f&c, but also not quite the same. Fries aren’t particularly amazing.

The lady who served us is friendly, but the food coming up extremely slow! We went for brunch and waited for 20mins to order and another 40mins to get them. Dinning environment is not satisfying.

A little late with this review, but Sherri was great! Took into account our dietary restrictions and worked some magic(never had tried beef gravy before, but that was awesome)! If you are gluten free, come here. The corned beef hash was great as were the pancakes! And, no, we are not related to Sherri!

I have a suspicion all of the reviews are from the friends and family of Sherri. The food was average to below average. However, most importantly the service was horrendously slow for peak lunch hour. It took about 30 minutes to get our food after we ordered it around noon! If you have nothing else to do and are looking for killing time you can do it here. We will never go here again.

We went for lunch, the service is super slow. There were two other guests besides us. it took 45 minutes to get basics such as Mac and cheese and salads. We had to remind the waitress about of the salad. The orange juice was watered down, the clam chowder came with a layer of grease floating on top. Jambalaya is supposed to be well cooked — mine had Raw veggies. Amateur cooks and wait staff that need training.

Sherris’ was a recommended visit from my cousin while I was in Anchorage. He did not steer me wrong! I went 2 days in a row and had the seafood chowder. Unbelievable made to order. Sherri I live in Boston so I’m not a competitor, how about emailing me the recipe?

The food was great. All four of us were happy with our breakfast, but we had to wait a while for it. If you don’t want to wait an hour and a half to get into snow city, give this spot a go. Had a great conversation with the owner, too.

This is remarkable food! I had the jambalaya for lunch and closed my eyes to savor every bite. The shrimp are plump and moist, the roux is exquisite and the sausage is perfect. If you’re looking for a great Cajun meal in Anchorage, this is the best!

I’ve been here a few times for a weekday lunch. Great food! Interesting and delicious specials that change almost daily. I had the boef bourgignon one day and an Okonomiyaki that was amazing. The rockfish sandwich and the frieson the regular menu are great. Good size portions. The waitstaff and the owner(who is the main cook) are talkative and friendly if you sit at the bar. I can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful breakfast here – yummy reindeer sausage, great coffee, friendly atmosphere and service. We’d go again in a heartbeat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. A must if you’re in Anchorage!
