Meh… It’s not as good as it was when it first opened. No more lunch buffet and they put in extra MSG. My chicken Hunan was cold but my fried rice was steaming hot! Won’t come back for a while. They are so slow to take in house orders and we only have a hour lunch.

Disappointment. After a few month hiatus, I decided to enjoy the buffet I earlier critiqued. Upon entering at 11:30, I noticed the empty buffet trays pushed over into an abandoned corner and thought«Are we early?» No, no. A friendly though English limited person behind the counter quickly chimed«no buffet. Four month no buffet. Lunch deal good. Really good.» So I ordered from the menu: General Tso Chicken and a special order not on the menu(chicken and vegetables). Service was super fast. We sat and within 5 minutes had steaming plates of very average Chinese American fare. The General though was like eating a chicken desert: too much sugar! My partners dish presented well, and was edible, though a bit of gastric cultural revolution erupted a few hours later. Oh well. If you’re into fast and inexpensive and you live close, this might work for you. With the glut of ma/pa «Chinese» eateries in the area, I think Chopsticks may soon be yet another Metro PCS. Oddly, between 11:30 and 12:20 no one else ate in. One carry out order of two egg rolls and our order provided the only cash infusion I could see. Several groups of people expecting the buffet hungrily wandered in only to hear the«no buffet. Four month no buffet…» They left, as did I, disappointed. No need to return, when King Shing on Carpenter is closer. Down to two stars.

Sometimes you want American Chinese food like shrimp with garlic sauce or cashew chicken. I drove by and decided to stop for take out and my food was ready in less than 10 minutes. The food was good and not greasy. I ordered something that was supposed to be spicy, but it wasn’t so next time I’ll ask for it spicier. The ambiance is a bit plain but this is a good carry out place.

Average cookie cutter Chinese restaurant. They are a bit pricey for what they provide. They used to have a buffet for a very good price but have since discontinued it. I don’t see myself going back when there are so many other better Asian restaurants in the immediate vicinity. I am dissapointed, this is so close to my work; I wish there was more appeal.

Delivery: delivery was quick and the food was pretty good for the price. I got lo mein and the noodles could have been a little better but otherwise I was very pleased. I ordered a large soup and it certainly was large. Great portions.

They no longer have a lunch buffet — I wrote this review so people don’t waste their time driving there expecting a buffet for lunch. Food is typical Americanized Chinese takeout. 3 stars as I wouldn’t go out of my way for it, but would partake if in the area and wanting takeout chinese food. They should bring back the buffet and I would raise my vote.

Something to put on your stomach. Wasn’t bad but I’ve had better. Fast delivery, very friendly phone lady and delivery guy, not pricey.

Unilocal reviews matter! They got us here & we were not disappointed. We ordered to-go and were told 10 minutes. That’s not bad for freshly prepared. I failed to time it exactly, but if it was seven minutes, I’d be shocked. A quick stop into the bathroom to wash off road dust, was pleasant. It was well lit, smelled fresh, and the hot water worked too. Paper towels instead of a blower too, even better! We got General’s chicken combo, the staple of all Chinese-American restaurants. Presentation, even in a takeout container, was good. The rice was good, not greasy. The chicken was really good. Plenty of sauce, which was a little thinner, not putty, like some renditions. The broccoli was crispy. So there must be a negative, and there is. The plastic forks. They are a little flimsy. Switching to a spoon to get to the goodness worked though. It was hidden beside GameStop, so don’t miss it!

Let me make this simple and straightforward for either the impaired or stupid among us: 1) for lunch, eat at the buffet. Best value in Ann Arbor. 2) dinner: you are screwed. Good luck. Here is why I keep coming back: the food is not overly salty. There is no MSG — no hangover, no headache, nor excessive thirst. This is a place for normal folk. No Hipster,(think: my goatee can beat-up your goatee, that sort of thing) entitled, raised pinkie finger douchebags here. Just good food at good prices. Wish they restocked the soup quicker but I came towards the end of lunch and maybe hosed myself. If you like the exotic stuff like sauteed cow genitals, you are SOL. Only normal stuff on the diverse menu. Enough said.

Chopsticks is exactly what you want when you’re craving American-Chinese food. I’ve gotten their General Tso’s chicken, and it REALLY hits the spot. As a note though, I’ve ordered it with the spicy option(based on the online ordering form), and the chicken did not taste notably spicy, but there were a few chili peppers thrown in there for what it’s worth. I’ve ordered online with their lunch menu. It’s nice and cheap, so you can get your choice of meat and rice for $ 5.50(for an extra 50¢ I got an egg roll which was okay but would have benefited from being crispier). When I’ve ordered, the food has been ready to go when I arrive(which is wonderful if you’re really keen on stuffing your face). They also have a $ 6 lunch buffet from Monday-Saturday. I haven’t tried it yet, but I plan to. The restaurant itself is nice and cozy –the perfect place to eat yourself into a food coma. In short, this place is a solid go-to when you’re looking for some good, cheap Chinese food.

Hey folks, there’s a new SHERIFF in town… And by that I mean there’s a new Chinese Food BUFFET fucking Sheriff in town. I went to Chopsticks today with my mother and sister. We were kindly greeted, payed at the door, and were shown to a table. After our first trip up to the buffet line, each of us was sold. We absolutely LOVED it. The chicken was great, the green beans were great, the soup was great. We had no idea what the FUCK these people were putting in their food but needless to say, we will be returning to Chopsticks! The BEST part is, the buffet only costs $ 6.29! Unbelievably good prices to pair with their unbelievably good dishes.

Typical Chinese takeout place. The flavor was quite bland to be honest. I ordered both the Szechuan beef and kungpao chicken. My beef wasn’t spicy at all, the sauce was just sweet and sour sauce :/ The chicken was the worst though, it was soggy and completely bland in flavor. The fried rice was average and lacked that smoky flavor that the wok can give if used properly. The prices were quite economical, but I much rather drive to Ypsi and go to either LaiLai, King Shin or Lucky 7.

Well… not one of my favorite Chinese places that’s for sure. My dad and I went here one night wanting to try it out since it was new and we had seen ads for it in the paper and such. Needless to say we are not going back anytime soon. My dad ordered Pad Thai and it looked absolutely disgusting when it was served… the noodles were basically sitting in a pool of sauce at the bottom and it looked like it hadn’t even been cooked all the way or something. Nothing like what Pad Thai is supposed to resemble(normal Pad Thai has the sauce coating the noodles and evenly distributed). I played it safe and ordered Shrimp w/Broccoli which wasn’t that bad but it was very salty(most likely because of the sheer amount of teriyaki sauce used in the dish but I don’t know the exact ingredients). The«friend rice» looked like it came from a package in the fridge and tasted as if it had been frozen or thawed out prior to being cooked. The only good thiing I ate was the spring roll, at least that tasted halfway decent.

This place is terrible. My husband and I ordered take-out from here for dinner and the majority of both our meals ended up in the trash. I ordered the vegetable pad Thai with tofu, and while I was excited to see a variety of veggies in it, I was less than thrilled with the taste. All the sauce had pooled at the bottom of the container and the tofu was soggy and unappetizing. The veggies were way overcooked too. Yuck! My husband ordered the General Tso’s chicken, but mostly just ate the rice and broccoli. He said the chicken was slimy and chewy. I took his word for it. Ew. On the plus side, their online ordering system is awesome! Unfortunately, we won’t be ordering again.

This is a nice new lunch spot for the area. Stopped in today to try things out. I was able to order online and the process was super easy. A few clicks and my food was ordered. The site didn’t give a pick up time though, so I just guessed. For $ 6.00 I ordered generals chicken and an egg roll. If was ready when I arrived and I was in & out fast. There was a buffet as well. I did wonder if my food came from the buffet, but after tasting — so be it. The food was on par with other Chinese takeout, but the price and portion size set it above the rest. The sauce was not overly spicy, which I was a little disappointed by. The egg roll held up well. The fried rice was standard with onions, peas & carrots. If you want to change it up, stop by. If you like Chinese buffets then you probably would like this one. The price was cheap and I could’ve made a second meal from the leftovers.

Chinese reviewer here and this is the place to go if you’re looking for inexpensive yet delicious Chinese takeout. With a lunch buffet that is under $ 7 that features all classic chicken and beef stir frys as well as soups and egg rolls — you can’t go wrong. Egg rolls are fried well and meats are consistent(none of that random chewy stuff that ruins your appetite). Will definitely come again when I’m craving some chicken and broccoli or pepper steak!

Nestled in between Game Stop and ABC warehouse is a great little Chinese restaurant. I ordered the Roast Pork Chow Fun through their online site, and my food was ready and piping hot when I picked it up. The service was very friendly and helpful. The chow fun was simple,(flat noodles, bean sprouts, scallions, and pork) but overall quite tasty, with a nice seared«wok hei» flavour. I look forward to trying out their lunch buffet.

I’ve heard of this place from a co-worker and was told this place was up there with our favorite Chinese restaurant, so with this kind of recommendation, I had to give this place a try. On my way home after work, ordered a take out. To compare and contrast with my favorite place(King Shing), I ordered Chicken with ginger and garlic sauce combo — all for $ 8.70. It comes with vegetable fried rice and a egg roll. Egg Roll — 3⁄5 stars — it was decent… filled with cabbage, it was lacking something… but after putting on some hot mustard or duck sauce, it was good. Fried Rice — it was good… bit on the dry side, but the taste was good. Chicken — I enjoyed the dish and would order it again. I hate to compare it to King Shing, but I guess King Shing spoiled my taste bud… I hate to comparing this place to my favorite place, however it’s given :) I can’t count out this place as it’s close to my home… and when I’m craving Chinese food, this will be my go to place… however when I’m around on the east side of town, then I’ll go to my favorite place… This place also offers buffet Mon to Sat and the price looks decent for the buffet, granted the selection is limited, but for the price they charge, I think it’ll be worth it. As for the price, this place is bit higher then other locations… For now, I’ll give three stars and as I revisit and try other foods, I hope the place will grow on me.

New to Ann Arbor! They have great lunch menu. The portion sizes are pretty big and lunch combos are cheap. They also have lunch buffet and they have variety of items. Food tastes fresh and not so greasy! I have not seen a small restaurant have a lunch buffet near this location. People are friendly and you can actually see the cooks cooking at the register so that’s always a plus for me.
