I have been a loyal customer of Macy’s for many years, but this one has such a poor selection of business clothing especially in petites — I might as well be picking over the scraps in a TJ Maxx. I’m so disappointed. All either cheap trendy LeSuit or the nice lines in one color, a color I already have of course– black. I wasted a lot of time tonight. Next time I’m driving to Tysons Corner or Columbia. I may never step foot in this store again. They should do something about this situation before they go belly up.

Most Macy’s stores come standard, but this one exceeds my expectations as soon as I walk in. The layout is more organized, and most of the associates seem friendlier than most of the Macy’s in the Greater Annapolis /DC /Baltimore area. The holidays are always frantic, as expected, but I actually enjoyed the process of shopping here. That’s a first! Love the North Face, Clinique, and Tommy Hilfiger selections. The only downside is that the services at the make-up counters are always lacking. There is never an associate to be found. And when you find one, they don’t show any kind of expertise about the products they sell. Other than that, this is my favorite Macy’s store. Hoping that they start stocking their Burberry watches soon!

Retail workers of Macy’s, I understand if the holiday weekends are chaotic and all you want to do is sit down and do nothing, but I shouldn’t have to make a joke about stealing a Mother’s Day gift for one of your lazy available Coach associates to finally help me. Then, another associate, who appeared to be available as she was aimlessly wandering around with a blank look on her face, at the Michael Kors stand was nothing but rude when I asked to look at one of the watches. I get it. I, too, have worked in retail. But to give your paying customers an attitude as you’re chattering up a storm with another associate is a big no in Retail 101.

Macy’s is one of my favorite department store. High end with good products. This store is really no different from the other ones Like most high end department stores, they really cater to the women, but their men’s department is adequate.

This Macy’s is the pits. The Women’s Plus size section has no variety. The regular women’s dress section is a mess. They need to clean and organize this store… i was highly disappointed in this location.

It’s a Macy’s… not the best, not the worst, a solid three stars. I find it a bit tiring to shop at any Macy’s, due to their crazy sales every other day and crazy coupons with a list of exclusions a mile long. I shouldn’t have to work this hard to buy stuff! I added an additional star, however, because of the great experience we had purchasing a mattress here. The salesman, Marco, was nice and helpful. He really knew the system, completing the sale, signing me up for a credit card(we saved $ 100!), and setting up delivery in like ten minutes. The delivery crew was great; they were on time, removed their shoes before entering the house, and were fast and friendly. A+ from top to bottom, way better than dealing with the used car salesman atmosphere of a regular mattress store. ADDITION, March 2012: We purchased an area rug here, and it is fantastic! I saw the problems Shannon C. mentioned in her review — we had the opposite experience. Susan, the associate who helped us, was a Macy’s employee(not employed by a third party) and did a great job assisting us in selecting a rug. Delivery was prompt, and the rug was brand new and looks great in our home.

I went in looking for a coat & I didn’t like the prices for their down coats. So I went elsewhere.

Do NOT buy a rug from Macy’s! The rug department is actually not owned by Macy’s but is leased to another rug/furniture company. We bought a rug, which was stained when it was delivered. We had another one shipped to us, which was also stained! At this point, I checked my credit card statement to find out that we had accidentally been charged twice! Now, I have paid for two rugs but have none… and am fighting to be refunded for both! There is a complete disconnect between the sales people at the store and the warehouse that ships, and they both say that they’re «not authorized» to credit my account. Please never go through what I’m going through and wish me luck!
