We love this restaurant but when we went this week, there was a sign that management had changed. We went for lunch and got sushi(eel and avocado and shrimp tempura), orange chicken, and hibachi. The sushi was excellent, as always, and my husband liked the hibachi. The problem I had was with the orange chicken, which I always get there. My son normally loves it, but he wouldn’t even eat it. I’m not sure what changed but it has a very artifical taste now and no veggies(onions and peppers) or pineapple anymore. I couldn’t even eat it. We would likely return for the sushi but overall it might be time for us to search for a new orange chicken spot.

They’re alright as long as you want anything besides Chinese. Not sure what their interpretation of fusion is but it’s a pretty Japanese Restaurant masquerading as something else. Stick what what you’re good at making. Their Sushi is good enough for the area, it is Cape St. Claire so it isn’t like there is much competition in the area. Broadneck Grille and Riverbay Road House are the hot spots, if that helps show how poor the food situation is in the area. I digress. As always, you have to make sure the rolls are made with real crab meat. I can’t understand how anybody in the Chesapeake area could order crap-stick in their sushi! Seriously, get a grip, if you can’t afford the real stuff, save up till you can. Clearly enough people with surgically removed tongues continue to request crap-stick in their sushi, which requires everyone else to request the real thing or have their food ruined.

Well, I don’t know if I just hit this place on a bad day because I see so many rave reviews but I have to say in my experience this was one of the most unfriendly, unwelcoming places I’ve ever encountered, and if you follow my reviews you know that I’ve had a few lulus… I went in for carryout and the hostess was on the phone taking an order. I patiently waited and when she was finally finished, she looked at me without saying anything such as hello, welcome, may I help you… nada. No smile, just a constant scowl, like I was a bother rather than a wanted guest. I asked a couple of questions which she answered in curt reply. I placed my order and asked how long it would be. I was happy that she said only 10 minutes and since I had been sitting in my car for a long trip, decided to wait standing at the counter.(There were no other customers) While I waited, I was enjoying watching the sushi«chef» but after only a few seconds he turned around and told me to «please sit down» I explained that I preferred to stand and wait and he again ordered me to go sit. A professional sushi chef is proud of his work and enjoys the«show» as part of the art. To be uncomfortable with someone looking is in my opinion a big red flag. Add to that that everything seemed to be pre-cut inside plastic containers and I have to wonder about the quality of the food and the training of the«chef.» When I was leaving, I again tried to make conversation with the hostess: «Gosh, it is raining again» No response«Have nice day» No response. In fact she turned her back to me. I brought my bento box of shrimp teriyaki shrimp home and it was nothing special. In fact, the vegetables seemed rather old. Needless to say I will not be back. I go out to eat or pick up food almost every day. I would travel to Cape St Claire for a good Japanese restaurant. I wonder if they care that this experience has cost them a potential regular customer…

Absolutely my favorite sushi place in Maryland. Their service is excellent, even if some of their servers are a little«green», the experienced serves pick up their slack. The sushi quality is the best in the area with their presentation surpassing all expectations. If you haven’t tried them, do yourself a favor and at least try it. You have nothing to lose.

The quality of the sushi and the friendliness of the staff really make this small restaurant shine. The décor is much nicer than the strip-mall exterior would tend to indicate. The bowls of ramen that my wife and I had were also excellent, and when the menu says«spicy», believe it. A gem, worth regular visits!

This restaurant started out with a bang — the food was terrific including the sushi. The meal we had today, however, was below average. What happened? Often it seems that Asian restaurants start with an A team of chefs, service, and management. Once they’ve developed a clientele they bring in the B team and trade off their reputation as long as it lasts. I hope that’s not the case here — perhaps it was just an off night.

Oh my goodness! I just love this place! We have been here 3 times for the Chinese and sushi and every single time it has been delicious! The customer service is unbelievable as well! I ordered take out today because my oldest wasn’t feeling well and they offered and then walked my food to my car so I could hold her! Would highly recommend!!!

My son loves Sushi and since he had a good Dr’s appt I decided to treat him The staff was soooo attentive and helpful and explained all the food to us. He made sure our glasses were always full and was within eye distance in case we needed him The sushi was all fresh and prepared within reasonable time(don’t like to rush on good food) I added pics of what we had and my husband joined later for Shrimp and Lobster that he also enjoyed The place was clean and we felt welcomed and comfortable Definitely a thumbs up!!!

Excellent sushi and a great addition to the area. We have eaten here about 5 times now both dine in and carry out. Every time I have been extremely satisfied with the food. I just got the tuna dumplings and they were fantastic. All sushi is amazing, and very fresh! Highly recommend.

Wanted to give this place a second shot, wow was that stupid. My wife called in the order and was left holding for 12 minutes. We waited it out and in the end were hung up on. Needless to say we ordered from Oishi in Arnold and enjoyed our sushi and service.

Absolutely wonderful. We started with the pot stickers. The noodle was so tender with a crispy bottom and the pork filling was to die for. Just fantastic. The salmon salad is a wonderful sushi/ginger/cucumber delight that you can’t find anywhere else. We had the sunshine roll and the perfect roll. Both were so artfully prepared with the perfect balance of each ingredient. The textures were amazing, what a wonderful experience. We also got the pineapple shrimp fried rice that had umami all over the map. Wow!!! The crab rangoons were absolutely the best we have ever had. If you want a truly umami filled Asian experience try this place. The food is 10 out 10 and pure artistic culinary awesomeness.

My wife and I struggled for the last year to find a great Chinese food takeout restaurant in the Annapolis area until yesterday. We ordered the general tso’s chicken and chicken lo mein dishes to go. Both dishes were healthy portions of food and each had their unique taste. They even threw in a complimentary box of their crabs bites which were really good as well. The total meal cost $ 22 which we thought was reasonable considering the quality of the food! We will definitely be going back!

Great new place. The menu was easy to follow and had pictures of some of the specialty sushi rolls. After we ordered, we were given hot towels for our hands. They also gave us a Volcano Roll on the house. Our daughter had Lo Mein, which was delicious. The adults had sushi. My favorite was the Boston Bay Roll. The only reason I gave the review a four is because I had previously had carry out with them and all the food was bland, particularly the shrimp fried rice. It was basically sticky fried rice and shrimp. Nothing else’s to add flavor or interest to the dish. The portions were good and they gave a complementary roll then, too.

With so many workers in this neighborhood, I still wonder why the lunch options are so horrible. Sad lunch by the pound, pizza, fast food, scary chinese takeout spots, and a few crazy expensive places. Finally, a very good Japanese take out/delivery spot that won’t break the bank. More importantly, the sushi was excellent. The sushi special with miso soup was excellent. It was quality salmon, tuna, and a few selections of white fish. A nice BBQ eel as a bonus. I will definitely eat here at least once a week.

My new place to go for Sushi. Amazing Sushi. Incredible menu, with a mixture of Japanese, Chinese and Asian specialty. Service was top notch. Food was excellent, and not overpriced at all. Will go back often. A must try.
