The food here is SO good and exceeded every one of my expectations(and satisfied all my cravings)! They have a great variety on their menu, the restaurant is clean(bathroom is beautiful too!), and the service is fantastic! Hong Kong style chow mein is phenomenal — I can’t think about it too much without having to go get some… mmm. The BBQ pork buns are drool worthy. You walk in and you don’t expect the place to be so large and elegant inside. They really used the space they had to make a beautiful restaurant.

Chicken Chow Mein, Orange Chicken, Salt & Pepper Chicken, and Beef Broccoli all To-Go. Resonably priced food and the serving portions are huge. I must say that the Salt & Pepper Chicken was pretty amazing. Battered chicken, fried, and then stirfried with peppers. The 3 other dishes were great as well, but I spent most of dinner chowing down the Salt & Pepper Chicken. I was in the area visiting my grandma and she wanted some chinese food. Of course I went all out and ordered too many items from the menu. I’m pretty sure that the 4 dishes would have fed a family of 6 or 7… no doubt about it. When i walked in to place the order, the lady was very friendly. She greeted me and asked how she could help. It took me a while to decide. :-) I’ll gladly eat here again when I’m in Sacramento visiting family.

I love coming to this place. I cone probably three times a month. Well today i came with my aunt for lunch. We ordered two war wonton soups and two lunch specials. The guy taki g our order asjed us if we were sure we wanted all that food. I just looked and him and said yes. The guy that brought the food to us said«you guys must be really hungry.» At this point i was a little annoyed. We were eating our food when the same fuy comes over with boxes and said«you guys probably arent cooking today.» And left the to go boxes. I feel really humiliated. As im sitting here still im writing this review with the food infront of us that i dont even want to eat. Next time ill think twice before we come. Now hes clearing our table asking us if were still eating. Ugh rude rude rude!

Terrible customer service, sub-par food, expensive menu. At 6 p.m. on a Thursday night, my husband and I walk in and from the counter across the room, a lady points where we can sit in a nice booth. The place is modern and clean, but that’s the only thing going for it. She brings us menus and a long time later comes by and takes our orders. Normally we order from the family dinner menu at Chinese restaurants, but this place is focused on individual dishes and combo plates. The family dinners are for larger parties(the smallest is recommended for 4 to 5 people) and thus more expensive. The server had a little difficulty communicating clearly with us. My husband ordered BBQ pork spare ribs with a side of white rice. I ordered a combo plate of kung pao shrimp and pork fried rice. I let the server know I had a Groupon, and she just«OK, later.» We also asked for waters, but they were so cold I decided I wanted hot tea. Since no one ever checked on us, my husband had to flag down a server and ask for tea. The server asked for how many; we said 2. The server brought my husband’s ribs, followed by the rice on a second trip, and later on a third trip, the tea with one cup. He quickly hurried off, so we flagged him down again, waited awhile for him to come over, and asked for our second cup, as well napkins and silverware, since we had none. My husband felt awkward digging into his ribs while my food hadn’t arrived, but I encouraged him to eat, because at this point, who knows when my food would come. The wait was so long, I was beginning to think they just forgot about my order, but it finally arrived with no apology. The kung pao had a nice kick to it and most of my food was piping hot, except some of my shrimp were actually cold. My food was salty. I believe it was the rice that was heavily salted. My husband’s ribs were pretty dry. We never had anyone check on us for refills. We went through the small pot of tea before we finished eating. When our bill came, the Groupon wasn’t included. I reminded the server I had the Groupon. She looked at it and then just subtracted the $ 20 by hand from the $ 27 total. Expensive. A family meal for two at most places is less expensive with far more food. They even charged us $ 2 for the small pot of weak tea with one tea bag in it. I would never come back here.

Purchased a groupon and was very please with the food & service. Drink refills were done quickly and the food came out in no time! I tried the general chicken, chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, & spring rolls. Did not disappoint.

Very disappointing!!! My husband found a hair in his plate right in the middle of eating the food. We called the waitress and told her the situation and she was like: oh really!!!(And that was the only action) I would never recommend this place to anyone!

Check out their groupon deal right now, $ 13 for $ 20 worth! 5 star for the beautiful restaurant, always clean and cool inside. The service is always quick and friendly, probably because it’s empty every time I’m here. 3 stars for the food, just lacks a little flavor. It’s same as Panda for more expensive. The salt and pepper chicken is one of our favorites. Hope this place lasts, don’t want to see another vacant spot in Antelope!

Live a few miles from it a really good place, the food is always hot n fresh and has just the right balance of flavor. I usually like spicy food and they have a pretty good menue filled with spicy dishes, also u can let them know how you want it and they do a pretty good job on listening. They also deliver, i like that alot because i get pretty hungry and pretty lazy sometime, everyone is really polite and very friendly, they also have a website were you can order online and they get pretty detailed about the online order, so check em out and give them a try, you will not be disapointed ;)

I used to love this restaurant but on my visit tonight, I ordered a wonton soup for take out and I came home and began to eat it, only to discover that there was a small beetle type bug in my food. This establishment is unsanitary and I don’t suggest going here.

I drove past this place often and thought to myself, «How could I ever eat there without getting depressed from the nostalgia of Hollywood Video?» Now that I’ve finally tried it, it’s totally worthy of this space! I honestly hope business stays strong for them because I’ll be bringing more family here for sure. I was impressed as soon as I walked through the doors. Seriously, it’s not what you would expect around here. You’ll see, even the bathroom makes you gasp. The service was perfect, almost too perfect because they probably checked on us every five minutes. The menu had me stuck because I couldn’t decide which one to get. We shared the Hong Kong special and general chicken over rice lunch special. They were, indeed, quite special. My in-laws mentioned that their fried rice still had frozen peas, so there’s room for improvement. I’m already planning what to try next time I visit!

Been there couple times since, and each time my family likes it. The interior/ambiance in nice, for the location. They have spent some time picking out the furniture, and lighting. Even the bathroom is nice for an Asian restaurant(typically you don’t see that) they spent some money from the floor on up. As for the food, it’s good! Be careful if you go in as a group and order plates for each person. They come as shared plates and you can have plenty of left overs. I would continue to come back…

I come here about once a month with my family when I’m in the Antelope area. We love it here because it is sparkly clean inside, even in the restrooms, and the food has been delicious every time so far. We usually get a pot of Hot and Sour Soup to share. The bowl is huge and even after 5 people have had their fill there is always enough to take leftovers home. It is by far one of the tastiest hot and sour soups we’ve eaten. Other items we’ve ordered included Shanghai Noodles with shrimps, Salt and Pepper Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken. The portions here are huge and we always take doggie bags home. So far we’ve not had a dish that we didn’t like but the Shanghai Noodles and the Salt and Pepper Chicken are by far my favorite! The service has always been friendly and this place is nice and comfy which always makes us want to sit and talk for a while after our meal. It’s nice to see a restaurant with nice décor and great food survive in this part of Antelope.

The service was efficient and friendly. As for the food… I ordered to go. Flavorless and full of MSG. My mouth was so dry the whole night due to the MSG. I thought MSG was supposed to add flavor? Wife and I ordered 4 items and got free cheese won tons for check in on Unilocal. The cheese won ton weren’t really won ton. It was more like mini cream cheese empanada. Can’t really complain about that though as it was free. Just stating it’s not won ton skin used as the wrap. !st-Hot and Sour Soup The only thing hot about this was the temperature. Neither hot nor sour. There was so much corn starch in it that it became gelatinous. I would stick my spoon in and it would almost slide out and have starch clumps on it. Chicken chow mein no bean sprouts. I don’t like bean sprouts because it is just filler. They made the chow mein look appetizing. Smelled good upon opening the box but one taste and I needed to add soy, white pepper, salt and other ingredients. Next dish was the MaPo tofu. Again no flavor. This dish us pretty difficult to make with no flavor. Again had to add salt, white pepper, and soy. Last and least-Green bean chicken Green beans cooked okay. Still had some crispness to it which i liked. Once again guess what I had to do??? That’s right add each of those 3 things to make it have some flavor. It seems like this restaurant has the chicken prepared for salt and pepper chicken. That is probably a popular item there because all the chicken piece in both my chow mein and green beans where cut the same. It also tasted a little old. Like it had been cut for a while and frozen and refrozen. Would I recommend this place??? Probably not. The pictures certainly look better than the food tasted. If you like bland food and MSG then I say try this place out. If it wasn’t for the friendly customer service I would have given it 1 star.

As others have stated, the first thing that you notice about this restaurant is that this place is surprisingly well decorated for this area. The set up is kind of like a lounge with booths on the outside, a bar area at the back of the restaurant and a large middle area filled with tables and seats. The décor is really modern. We ordered two combination plates, one with honey walnut shrimp, which was tasty, with the shrimp being nice and crunchy as it should be while not overly battered. The dressing was nice, not too much mayonnaise, but plenty of honey flavor. The other dish we ordered was the general chicken combo, the general chicken was really good as well, not quite spicy enough for my tastes, if you order it, I would recommend asking for it extra spicy, since, if you’re ordering General chicken, it should be safe to assume you like spicy food. My daughter ordered the chicken fried rice. Very good, plenty of pieces of chicken and not too greasy and not too much reliance on soy sauce for flavoring. Great restaurant, prices are a bit high for the area however, but portions are porportionate to the price.

I came by after work when I read some of the Unilocal reviews about how great the food is here. Although I had lunch over an hour before, I had just enough room in my tummy for some Chinese food. Lunch is served until three pm M-F and I had about fifteen minutes to spare to get myself a lunch special. The menu is easy to read with lots of pictures so you get that bit of visual. I ordered the salt and pepper chicken with chow mein. At $ 6.95, the salt and pepper chicken comes with your choice of chow mein or steamed or fried rice. The food came out rather quickly and at first bite, I was in «LOVE!“The chicken was fried and seasoned to perfection! The chow mein was excellent, as well. The egg roll was mediocre. I was so impressed with the food that I ordered food to go. I ordered the chicken chow mein, veggie fried rice and salt and pepper wings. Much to my disappointment, the salt and pepper wings were a bit under cooked, there was some pink in some of the wings and after a few bites and noticing, my kids lost their appetite. I would say that the salt and pepper chicken, not the wings, is a far better choice IMO. The veggie fried rice had a ton of veggies, including green beans, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, onions and green onions. This place is quite busy with lots of patrons coming and going with takeout orders. With the fast, friendly service and delicious, Americanized Chinese food, it’s a no-brainer, why it’s so popular. It’s one of my better finds and located in my old neighborhood. Sorry I moved away but have a good reason to visit!

This rating is really 3.5 stars. Tasty Palace is inside the old Hollywood Video building across the street from the other brand new Chinese place Year’s Garden-awkward! I have to say the decorating team did a fantastic job of turning this place into an attractive modern venue. The tables, seats, booths, lighting and beautiful ceiling make the place nice to be in. We tried the following items: Salt and Pepper Green Beans $ 7.50: a good portion of fresh green beans slightly spicy and tasty. These beans are NOT deep fried like most salt and pepper dishes. Salt and Pepper Pork $ 8.50: deep fried slices of pork loin or pork chops coated in crispy tempura batter and seasoned with salt and peppers. The pork was tender but the cook added too much salt :( Honk Kong Style Chow Mein $ 9.95?: crispy pan fried noodles served with pork, shrimp and various veggies. The dish was good but nothing special. Scrambled eggs and shrimp $ 11.95: this was my favorite dish a big portions of softly scrambled eggs and plump juicy shrimp. Just add some soy sauce, white pepper and eat it over rice YUM, just like mom used to make :) The service was fast and friendly even though it was slightly busy and there were only two servers. I have yet to try the highly rated Years Garden, but I can say this spot is not bad at all.
