Really wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t «good». I found it odd they didn’t even serve crab ragoons or Mongolian beef. Never have I been to a «Chinese» restaurant that doesn’t sell those two items. I don’t know if I will be going back. And not to mention its 2015, so tell me who carries cash… Not me! They need invest in a card machine.

I don’t usually write reviews but I have to say this was the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. I was looking forward to trying this little place because it had good reviews, but the pepper steak was tasteless, and the chop suey was not any better. I don’t know why anyone would say it was good. I sincerely hope it was just a mistake and some forgot to put the sauce on the food, because they can’t possibly get any business with food this bad. No wonder they only take cash.

We have been going here since I was a little girl and every time the same exact quality and taste. It is our favorite, it is so great so fresh and so consistent. They are so friendly every time and treat everyone so well. Everything we have every ordered has been so delicious. Totally recommended. Hope they stick around forever.

This is the best take out Chinese food I have ever had. The moment you take the first bite, you can tell its homemade. Once I found out that they have been at their same downtown location since 72′ it immediately made sense to me as to why. Very Fresh! Enjoy! Favorite dishes: Egg fu Yung, Kung Pao Chicken, and the Egg Rolls

I’ve been wanting to go here for a while. We live across the street. Finally went today cheap an fast service. But not worth going. The only thing I could eat was the pork fried rice. The beef and broccoli was really bad. And so was the sweet and sour pork. There’s a reason this place isn’t open very often.

I heard of this tiny take-out restaurant through friends who are from the far north suburbs and so while returning on business traveling from Wisconsin, I stopped by on a whim to try this place and pick up dinner for myself and my friends. I was ecstatic at the freshness and quality of their dishes, which trump most of the places I have tried in Chicago, Chinatowns in other parts of the country, and other cities when I have traveled on business. Beef pepper steak, enormous egg rolls which had to have been hand-made and super fresh, egg foo young, and sweet and sour chicken were so good. We ordered the large size in each dish and found that we could have gotten more because the prices are comparatively lower than the city and everything we ordered was delicious and freshly prepared within 15 minutes. This is not the place to go to sit-down and graze over miles of buffet options, which normally feature ‘fake’ meats and oily selections. This restaurant offers more traditional, steam-cooked dishes, which run on the non-spicy side. Be prepared to bring cash or stop by the ATM beforehand as this is a strictly cash-and-carry place. We are new fans and will definitely stop by if we are in the neighborhood again. Too bad they’re not closer to us — I can taste those egg rolls right now.
