Why it so hard to get warm, decent service? WHY!!! Ok, rant over lol. Came here years ago and found the experience to be completely average, and something you could get at any of the average million taquerias in our area. Well, nothing’s changed, except for the adjacent room in the mini strip mall they’ve acquired. My chili verde burrito was so average I didn’t finish it, so I left hungry. My wife’s inedible fish tasting chicken taco was gross she said, but her enchilada was adequate. The pastor tacos were surprisingly good, not great. The salsa & bean dip were fine, and my daughters bean burrito was very good. Atmosphere was average and borderline subpar, but the service was quite atrocious. Three occupied tables in the place and we couldn’t get refills, and the waiter forgot a few items, let alone it took forever to get the bill, which eventually we had to go ask for. Won’t be back unfortunately, and my 11 year old daughter said as we exited the building«I’ve had better» lol.

I love their fish tacos, and they’re reasonably priced at $ 2.50/taco. Not sure how they cook the fish to get such great flavor infused throughout, but it’s super tasty, the taco toppings of diced tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, avocado, sour cream, lime are always fresh tasting, and the double corn tortillas these tacos are all wrapped up in are always just right. Their carne asada tacos are really good too. We usually call in and pick up and customer service has always been excellent, very friendly. It’s in a not-so-great part of town, but that doesn’t detour us from eating here

I like this place. It beats generic places like Chipotle in both taste and price. I usually get a «super» burrito when I go here. Sometimes the rice can be dry and the meat can be too chewy but regardless its good.

Been coming here for a while. Love it because it’s close to my house, reasonable prices and really taste good. Burritos are great and fast and around 7 $. Nice little hole in the walk kind of place. Will keep coming back as long as the food is food

Absolutely the crappiest burrito i’ve ever eaten. Period…(there goes my header) Stumbled on this place when i was working around the antioch area and it looked like the classic hole in the wall. Ordered my trusty fish burrito(a usual go to when i eat latino food) waited 22 mins paid $ 9.00 and received a half-ass folded burrito filled with beans 1 fillet of sour fish and a sub par tasting salsa. Absolutely horrendous… need i say more?

This place was not good at all! The food was bland very badly put together. The service was HORRIBLE. We had an ant in our food, we told the the lady who we thought was a waitress, she came over and looked at us with an ugly look on her face and said«What do you want me to do about it?» Really? And this was the owner. Eat there at your own list I don’t recommend this place!!! BTW the star on here should be minus can’t get my review on here unless I use it.

As an elite member of Unilocal,I always read all reviews with a grain of salt, good or bad. I was quite surprised to see so many negative reviews of my beloved Mexican Restaurant Los 3 Amigos. I grew up in Antioch and frequented Los Tres many, many times. Upwards of two hundred times over the course of twenty years, I’d say. Now, I hadn’t been in several years due to moving away from Antioch after High School and then my parents moving away shortly after that. Due to a variety of circumstances, my mom found herself living locally again recently. So, of course, after moving her into her new house, I immediately said I wanted to get lunch at Los Tres. I promptly checked in on Unilocal and was saddened by the bad reputation I saw lingering all over their page. My first thought was, maybe they’ve gone downhill? Well, I have to say, that was definitely not the case. Perhaps I was blinded by nostalgia; perhaps I was biased by years of dining here and knowing exactly what to expect; perhaps I was conditioned as a child to like them and I got used to their nuances and idiosyncrasies. Well, in the ten years I had been away from Antioch, and only visiting a handful of times in that span(visits to L3 included), I returned to this restaurant and left satisfied, and super full because I couldn’t stop eating the food, as always. My favorite part of my return? The waitress who served us, who I remembered(she looked exactly the same, beautiful as ever) also remembered my mom and I! That was a great feeling. I thought her service was great! And I watched her provide the same service to the other patrons too, so it wasn’t an I-remember-you-so-I’m-going-to-be-nice-to-you sort of thing. It was just as I remembered her and the other main waitress: sweet, striking up conversations with us, checking on us frequently, etc. One thing to note, the food is inexpensive and exactly what you hope for when you go to a hole-in-the-wall kind of place sort of off the beaten path(it is in a tiny shopping center with a convenience store, for crying out loud), so you’re not getting white linens and all that. You’re getting no nonsense, excellent taqueria food! I ordered the Carne Asada plate, which came with tasty beans, authentic rice, creamy guacamole, and their signature pico de gallo, I have tried and failed many times to replicate that pico over the years… I just can’t figure out what they’re doing to it that it tastes so good. The only bad thing I could say about them is that I wished they would use fresh jalapenos and not pickled in that pico. That and the plastic beer mugs: why were they even chilled? Ha. But who cares? The bottle itself would have been fine. I guess some people would find the guacamole mixed with sour cream to be, well, weird, but it is actually quite tasty. All their salsas are delicious too. The chips may be a little bland, but you don’t eat the chips for the chips’ sake, you eat them for the salsa, am I right? Ok, moving on: my iced tea glass was never left empty, our orders were taken promptly, and our food was brought out HOT and quickly. I heard them throw the steak on the grill and everything! The burritos, chimichangas, and other standard taqueria fare are, apparently, also exactly the same as they have has always been, too, so I do not doubt that they are still great, as well(same owners, same recipes). So, take what you will from this review with my caveats and disclaimers, but I truly believe this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to, and I’ve been to many. There are lots of reasons why you might shy away from coming here: the shady location, the large, almost empty dining space suggesting it not being good, the no-frills style everything, etc. But really, the food makes up for any qualms you may have and I will happily be returning as often as I can while my mom is living locally and I am visiting her. Those few times I mentioned visiting over the last ten years? I ordered to-go meals in addition to my for-here orders, because I wanted to have more of it as soon as I could. Honestly, I may or may not do that next time I go! A burrito or something that keeps easily. Good food, good prices, really good people working there. I think I will always be one of their amigos, and I hope they stick around for another 20 years and then some. Haters gonna hate, but I will spread the good word because I believe in Los 3 Amigos!

Have eaten here previously but tonight ants were marching down the wall. Tried to move tables. Guess what; more ants. Hostess comes over and wipes the wall muttering in Spanish. Left and won’t return.

The asada tacos served with guacamole on them give them a unique incredible tasting flavor my favorite! And probably the ONLY good thing on the menu as well… The tall lady with the short hair there is a stuck up puta, or «creida» as my grandma would say… If she smiled more maybe shed get better ratings…

The blandest Mexican food I ever had. The salsa seemed to be from a jar, with no discernible taste other than canned tomatoes. My chicken enchilada was stuffed full of tasteless white meat, while the rice was the consistency of mush, and tasted remarkably like the pallid puddle of refritos that sat on the other side of the plate. Even a copious addition of Tapatio didn’t help. I did enjoy my frosty glass of horchata, and the restaurant was clean with pleasant service, hence the two stars.

I have always enjoyed this place until my last visit last night. I went there to grab burritos before going to the concert in the park in Brentwood. I sit down at the park to get half way through my burrito and find a LONGASSHAIR embedded inside the burrito… I wanted to gag… Not having any other issues with this restaurant I wanted inform them of my finding… I call today(the very next morning) and the lady on the line interrogated me like I put it there… huuummmm… she then proceeds to tell me that she would just let the owner know and that EVERYONE who works there wears a hair net… huummmm then how did the hair get there… Minnd you when I walked in to place my order there were four ladies who worked there sitting at the table waiting for customers and none of them had hair nets on… huuummmm but the long hair mist have fallen out of my short hair on my head… smh…need a new place to eat… Before writting this I was prepared to give them 4 stars… but the customer is always supposed to be right… esp. in this case… NEVER argue with a customer… so I gave them 1star…

Over 10 years ago, a group of us started going out for dinner after Sunday evening mass and Los 3 Amigos has been our primary eatery-usually about 3 times a month. There are several dishes that I go back to, over and over. The first I use for a treat-the coctel de cameron. I haven’t been able to find a restaurant that makes one better. This is comfort food for a warm summer evening. The second dish I have to recommend are the sopes-hand made and piled high with a choice of meat or chicken. This is a great calorie splurge. On a non-splurge evening, I turn to the soft tacos with fish, shrimp, carne asada, chicken or birria-especially after a long day at work. People here at Unilocal love the salsa-it is too hot for me but they make a chunky salsa that is just right. The chips are never-ending and perfect after adding salt(my favorite food group). Los 3 Amigos is a treasure in a city filled with mediocrity.

The best Mexican in Antioch! Whenever I visit my family out here in Antioch, I may every attempt to get some grub at Los 3 Amigos. They’ been around since I’ve been in high school in the late 80’s. The service and food have always been great. The prices are a bargin for the quality and portions you get. Awesome salsa! This is old school classic Antioch good eats!

A great little hole in the wall going Eastbound on East 18th street and Hillcrest. Don’t expect California-style cuisine ala the mecca or juarez. But the food is prepared nicely and the folks there are great. The salsa is damn hot!(lol). More akin to what you would find in Mexico. The Seafood Cocktails are awesome. Ask for June.
