This spot is a hidden gem in Antioch. Love going for lunch, their lunch specials are a great deal. Expect great friendly service and great food for a great price. If you haven’t been here, do yourself a favor and try it. Sam the owner is a really nice guy who genuinely appreciates your business, the waitress is super nice and hilarious, makes you feel like right at home, the two bartenders who I have seen in there are very polite and are very easy on the eyes lol. My fave is their caboose burger, you won’t leave this place hungry!

This is a unpretentious place owned by two really down to earth people. The first impression of this being a biker hangout can be misleading as once inside, you will be greeted warmly. The food never disapoints. My favorite is of course the Caboose burger. However, back when they have meat loaf Thursdays, that was to die for. I need to come here for breakfast one day.

I have eaten here many times, I brought my girlfriend here for her 50th birthday with 18 of our close friends. I called in just before the party to make sure there was going to be enough staff to handle us all, they said there is only one waitress available that night, which kind of made me nervous, no need to be though, she handle us like a champion. The food was great as always, me and my girl had the ribeye(they have the best steaks/prime rib in town) there was a little misunderstanding on what vegetable was being served but I don’t think anybody really minded that. I had a big sheet cake they let me keep in the walk in cooler until after dinner, and I was able to come down early and decorate the caboose. All in all it made for a great casual dinner with close friends, hats off to the staff!

Yet another place that is off the beaten path. First impressions are very important, and my first impression of the Red Caboose was not great. As we walked up the ramp to the door we were insulted by a group of local bikers. It made us feel angry and uncomfortable, but I’m never one to turn a place down. Inside had a completely different vibe. Everyone is sitting around chatting like they are all old friends, which they probably were. The owners of the restaurant were seated at the table right behind us, and they were just awesome. Our waitress, the woman behind the bar, and even the other guests were all friendly and talkative. This is obviously a place that really caters to their locals, however; they were also very friendly to the non-locals like us. Even the cook came out and asked us how are food was. Speaking of the food, I ordered the Caboose burger with pepper jack cheese, and bacon. Our waitress informed me that the hamburger and regular cheeseburger are frozen patties, and that the Caboose burger is a handmade patty burger, and it’s freaking huge. I ordered the potato salad with it, because whenever it’s on the menu I just must have it. It was good, but it tasted like a mix between homemade and store bought. The burger was amazing. I love the irregular, almost circle shape of the patty that kind of proves it’s made by hand. Great flavor, massive size, and the very thick strips of bacon that blanketed was the cherry on top. Phenomenal burger. Besides the run in with the bikers, and the OK tasted potato salad, this place is amazing.

So awesome. Off the beaten path. Right by the water. Ample parking. Great seating on the deck. Biker hot spot. The woman her served us was hilarious. I’d go back just to hear what kind of crazy stuff she says. She was awesome. Definitely upgrade to the big ass burger. It should be called that on the menu. You wont regret it. Handmade in the kitchen or so our server said. It was DELICIOUS. Loved this little gem. Will be back.

It’s not fancy, and the location is industrial, but everything is good. I recommend the fried calamari sandwich — one giant piece of calamari cooked just right.

The Red Caboose, and the owners, Sheila and Sam, are perfect hosts and serve up great meals. I have to share their huge hamburger! And in fact if you’re looking for a home cooked meal away from home this is your place! They have a varied menu, from basics to extra special dinners in the dining car! You will not be disappointed eating here!

Decided to come here for my Mothers Day breakfast. Not disappointed at all. Not crowded like all the other restraint chains. Wanted to give my money to a local longtime business. I ordered ‘Mark’s breakfast sandwich’, its a BLT with egg and provolone cheese on sourdough bread for $ 6.99. Super good and nice n’ thick bacon. Hit my spot. Had coffee as well. Hubby had the meat breakfast, he chose linguisa, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and wheat toast for $ 7.99, and also ate our kids sausage from the kids pancake breakfast that he couldn’t finish. Hubby got the clean plate sticker! My son had the chicken fried steak breakfast, I had a bite of the steak with gravy… very tasty and tasted homemade. That was $ 9.99. We enjoyed our meals on the indoor patio all to ourselves. Service was great, food was tasty and fresh. A few weeks back we came and had lunch here. Had friendly service and food was delish! I had the BLT which was really filling. Hubby had the Cabooseburger. That was huge and if I remember correctly it was a 10oz burger! That time we sat inside the dinning room and enjoyed our beers whilist chatting with another local couple. The prices are comparable to other local areas but here your getting your food cooked and made to order when you order it. The quality food and ingredients are a must for me and The Red Caboose delivers that for me and my family. The place is also a local bar and has the dim atmosphere of that kind of feel but everyone is friendly and deep loud laughs can be heard while welcoming you walking up to the door. They also have the Red Caboose train car you can dine in, you’ll just need to ask to be seated in there if that’s your wish. Its an older place so you may see a bit of dust here or there and hear the freight and Amtrak trains pass by, but if you really don’t mind, they hey, this is a great little joint to give a try! I would recommend you try them :)

Best flame broiled, large burger I’ve had in a long time. Friendly staff. Will be back to try other items. They were almost empty when I first arrived, then a few more people trickled in ranging from small children to the elderly. I had been meaning to try this spot for awhile, glad I finally did.

Most delicious dive bar type food! Love the Red Caboose and the service you get while there! The bartender Sam took the time to give my 3 yr old son a couple bucks for a ice cream after dinner, that was awesome! Again Great Food, Great Service all in a wonderful atmosphere! Will return as always!

Don’t waste your time. Poor service for average food AND you have to pay cash… just hope you don’t get mugged coming or going in this area of town.

We came in on a whim from a rave review from a friends stepdad. As we pulled up, there was classic cars(the two stars), so I was in heaven right then and there. Upon entering, it was stuffy and flies were everywhere. It looked like the inside of a trailer. They don’t accept cards, and the waitress was rude. I only ordered fries because everything was over priced and seemed too heavy for a lunch. I didn’t even finished my fries because the flies were making me disgusted. It was extremely loud, and honestly reminded me of a old home/trailer park family party. I will never return to this dump.

Loved it will be back! Friendly atmosphere, good music, and great food! Hidden gem tucked away! Went there and was greeted by many, they had sports on a big TV, reasonable prices, quick service, no feeling of being rushed to leave. I will definitely be back! The only fault it has is not accepting credit cards, I felt I would’ve spent more money if they did. Bring cash or pay ATM fees, either way they’ll be seeing me again!

«Best little steak house in town» is right! Very reasonably priced delicious steaks! Great bar & great food. On the weekends sometimes live music and awesome breakfast. The biscuits and gravy are really the best in town!!!

Breakfast was really good, large portions and we sat in the caboose where it was quiet and was a very nice experience. The place could use some dusting, and that is why I marked them only 4 stars.

if you want a fat steak for a skinny price, this is the place. The 14oz ribeye with 2 sides & bread was $ 15. The steak was cooked perfectly. This is definitely a casual place but perfect for a nice romantic dinner if you dine in the actual caboose. Have seen a couple bands when they celebrate their anniversary of opening. Frankie G & the Convictions provided soulful blues & the caboose provided a ribeye to beat all ribeyes. if you want a down to earth dining experience, this is the place. i will return again & again & again! I just celebrated my 50th birthday with 20 friends and we all just fit into the caboose. The food was awesome as usual and they gave us carrots with bacon and brown sugar as a side and they were delicious. They were so accommodating, let my boyfriend come in early to decorate and put my huge cake in their walk in cooler. I have had dinner here several times and the food is always excellent and the steaks are always cooked to perfection. My 50th party/dinner did not disappoint. Thank you Red Caboose!

Cool place. Nice views. It’s cool that people bring their classic cars out on Wednesday nights. Drinks are VERY fairly priced and made well. Hit dogs were grubbin! Cash only.
