Ya know it spells AFFLE without a «W». So our place had a W. It was rather good… greasy spoon kinda good. Waitress did her job and so did the short-order cooks in the back. If you want hearty food, no frills and a coffee mug that never runs dry… this is the place. Like many others of the same name, the menu is the same, but this place was clean and lacked the up-chuck of intoxicated early morning diners from the day before.

I know expectations of Waffle House are not the same as some restaurants but please don’t eat here. We went on Sunday around 10:00 am. The place is filthy. Employees are overwhelmed. Won’t go into all the problems but let’s say a plate was broken over food near grill. They did get rid of the food near by but it was pure chaos Needless to say we won’t be back and I would save your $ if I was you.

Gosh do I love me some Waffle House breakfast. I had the cheese omelette platter with bacon and as usual it was delicious. It was pretty full in there on this Friday morning. Staff was very friendly. Only complaint is that the waitress never came back to check on me after she brought my food. I had to ask for a to go cup for my tea as well.

I usually take 55 whenever I’m ambling through Apex to get to Fuquay, where I spend a great deal of my free time hanging out. I know how that sounds. Whatever. Stopping at this Waffle House will sometimes make you want to take a run to the ABC Store next door too, just to get the hard time off your mind. But, it’s mostly an easy outing. Parking is easy and the servers are cool. But this is a bland establishment, no «buts» about it. There’s absolutely nothing about the food that sets itself apart from anything I can cook at home. This joint gets by on its convenience and our collective laziness. What sometimes drives me to drink is the occasional slowness of the service. And that’s entirely dependent on the person you get serving you that day. This one time, I had a woman taking care of me who was about as slow in doing everything as a one-legged sloth coated in slippery grease trying to walk uphill during a landslide.

Ok. I normally wouldn’t review a restaurant like Waffle House but I have to say I was so impressed by the friendliness of the staff and how attentive they were the entire visit. Not only were we greeted with several hellos at the door but we were readily offered a seat on a very busy Saturday morning. At least five different people took care of us. We ordered the steak and eggs. They made egg whites for Mike and the steak was tender. Very good customer service if you want a fun spot for breakfast, great prices and I actually had a gluten free meal without eating the toast. Restaurant was clean and seats were comfy. Overall, friendly atmosphere and good breakfast for the money.

We are here now. So irritated I had to post this now. My family and I decided to go to breakfast for my wife’s birthday. My omelette was burned with raw onion. My wife’s eggs were raw. My daughter did not even get to eat breakfast because as we were told, the waffle irons were not working correctly. We have to stop off at McDonald’s for better food. Oh and were we charged for full prices when the waffles were supposed to be included. Unreal. A Waffle House that does not serve waffles.

This place was packed mid-morning on a Saturday, though it’s so small inside, there were more employees than customers. Food was slow getting to the table, I had to wait a really long time for my pecan waffle — but it was worth waiting for. It was very yummy! I know the appeal of this place is supposed to be a 1950s/1960s diner, but for as busy as they are, come-on, Waffle House — EXPANDALREADY! They are just too busy for the design of the place. For this reason, I may never go back. Service was okay — rather elderly female servers, which is fine with me, but I agree with another Unilocaler from 2012 who said IX-NAY on the personality — it just wasn’t there. I’m not sure that being a server is a job for elderly kinda-crabby and VERY tired old woman… but that’s just me. Oh — and I ordered hashbrowns with sauteed onions and the onions were diced and RAW, so I had to pick them out. Other than that, the food was decent. It’s up to you if you want to deal with the TINY surroundings, including the parking lot and driveway.

I never go into a Waffle House with high expectations of cleanliness or excellent service, but I was not disappointed with my visit the other day! Was clean and the food was spot on.

I went to this Waffle house 6÷22÷13 at 10:30am and the restaurant was filthy! I took a few pictures to show how disgustingly dirty this location was, I won’t ever go back there! I am sending these to our local health department! Food all over the counters, the pan on the stove disgustingly dirty that they were reusing, hashbrowns all over the counters and down in between the stove and prep line, waffle mix all over the place and dried mix running down everything all around the waffle irons, had to ask for water refill twice, and ask for coffee, my grits didn’t come out with my food and they over charged us and had to wait while they fixed it. It was an unpleasant experience! Kim G.

All Star Special, need I say more? Yes actually I do. The service is hit and miss at this location. Some of the waiters/waitresses have personality and some do not. The one that I had(didn’t get her name) was very efficient, but NOPERSONALITY at all. Thankfully that won’t keep me from going. Scattered smothered covered is the only way!
