Bayridge Sushi

Just awful. Disgusting. The hibachi food came to table luke warm at best, the bite I took to discover this was of the chicken. The chicken in my hibachi meal had a slimy mushy consistency like it wasn’t real chicken. I asked for mine to be removed from bill and taken away. Two others in my party sent theirs back to be heated and then stated they wished they would have requested it to be taken off their check too after tasting it. The sushi came out and was made with ingredients not listed and the rolls were not topped with ingredients that the menu stated but you are still charged for the roll you «ordered.» On top of all of this one guest in my party was charged twice, she called the restaurant the next day after seeing the charges and they told her it is impossible to go back through their receipts to figure it out and now she is having to work with the bank to get the charges removed. I wish I could give this a negative rating!

This place sucks don’t waste your money food was cold sushi fell apart miso soup tasted like dirty dish water and I was double charged on my card for this crap

Ive come to this location several times and my only recent complaint is the service. A group of my friends and myself met up for dinner at about 8pm, place closes at 10 and we feel rushed to place an order because they insisted their kitchen will be closing… each of us ordered different sushi rolls (butterfly, mexican, crunchy, kiwi), appetizers (soups, salads). The food itself tasted fine despite being rushed, my friend wasnt very fond of the soup she ordered but the rolls all tasted great. While at dinner the waiter was unattentive nor helpful, we wanted to order a side sauce but he never came to see how we were doing so we ended up just eating what we had before it just sat there too long. As we were getting closer to finishing up food some of us were considering dessert but the waiter didnt ask if we were interested in ordering anything else, they were actually getting ready to hand us our checks. we had to be the ones to say we made room for dessert and one of my friends also wanted to order something to go. My friend needed a minute to decide but the waiter said the kitchen was closing so she had to decide, weve never felt so rushed at a restaurant esp since we were there during hours they listed they were open. We weren’t planning to stay past their hours but the way they made us felt was as if they were ready to close and didnt really care to serve us. Honestly save your time and tip money and just get take out… the sushi does taste fresh but the service is just horrible.

Soooo dissatisfied this place use to be good now it’s barely acceptable… The «alleged» tuna does not even look like any type of tuna I’ve ever seen and does not taste like any I’ve tasted… If I could do negative stars I would. I wish they took pride in their food, the rice was a paste on the sushi very similar to supermarket or gas station sushi rice… A piece of the fish was actually hard, I don’t understand any situation where raw fish would be hard. NEVER going back here again, and it’s sad since they are the only sushi spot around my home.

I refuse to return to this location. Thet have rude servers who don’t value their customers. We used to go weekly until three visits in a row were horrible. First issue was my wife ordered a shrimp tempura roll. The server circled a roll that was made of only roe. My wife ate one and immediately regretted it, she vomited. She won’t return. The following two trips, I went alone. once I did not get the correct order. I ate, paid and left. The final trip, I was seated and then ignored for 15 minutes. People were seated after me and were brought menus, drinks and starters while I sat and waited. I left a note on the sushi menu. I was so upset. Luckily I was pointed to the Longwood location.

Had a very good experience coming here to get some good sushi on the non expensive side. I was surprised that the place was very nice, considering that Apopka doesn’t have many Asian food options. They have a very nice menu with $ 3 and $ 4 dollar rolls. This place is veggie friendly which is very nice. They can also customize your rolls. For example, you can add cream cheese for an extra $ 50 cents to your rolls. The sushi is very good, although I didn’t love the deep fried ice cream, I had that and didn’t like it. Will be coming back to eat here for sure.

Went and had lunch with my family, absolutely the worst service I ever received. We had to wait over 40 minutes to receive our food. Tables who arrived after we did had already eaten and paid for their check. Our waiter Jack was completely inattentive, non– apologetic and would walk away in the middle of a conversation. I have been attending this place for quite some time and not only has the service gone down hill but the food as well. Very disappointing

Great sushi rolls! Generally good service but can be hit or miss. Food is always great! Happy Hour sushi and appetizers all day Monday ~ Rolls between $ 1 and $ 6. We are regulars!

We arrived at 730 the restaurant was only half full and it took at least 5 minutes before a drink order was taken. We waited at least as long to place our dinner order. It took another 20 minutes for the food to arrive. I had chicken katsu which was very good, however, it was not hot figure it sat. Also, favorable comment on portion size its two meals for sure. I am not sure I would come back because of the wait time.

This is our sushi date place. The atmosphere is pleasant but not intrusive the have a small wine beer and sake selection to complement a truly vast menu. If you are ordering from the menu I’d recommend the bento box. However the real time to go here is 3 to 6 every day but Saturday or all day Monday labor. That is when happy hour is on. You will find a generous selection of nigiri for a dollar. Standard salmon and tuna rolls for 3 dollars and some specialty rolls for under 5. Me and the fiancé can spend less than 40 dollars and have sushi left to take home! I will say the service is middling. Everyone is nice and friendly but don’t expect a lot of conversation or someone to explain the menu in much detail. Overall quality of food also is not that of a high level place of course but it’s more than competently prepared with good quality ingredients. try Bayridge you will not regret it.

I just love Bayridge! They’re constantly consistent with their items, it’s the same every time i order something! Sushi can be tough, different cut of selfish, rice can be extra sticky — but somehow they keep it consistent every time… And writing this has made me hungry! off to Bayridge!

I’ve been a Bayridge Sushi fan since the first one opened in Longwood. Being as I have changed my living location I am frequenting the Apopka Bayridge. As from the beginning, the freshness and quality of their sushi always amazes me. On top of the excellent quality, their pricing is quite competitive in comparison to some of the popular places such as Amura. Five stars on quality, deliciousness, freshness, service, atmosphere and pricing! I’d recommend Bayridge Sushi as tops to everyone!

What a great hidden gem! I love sushi and my BF loves hibachi so this was a great blend of the two! We had the NY roll (my new favorite) sushi roll with tempura chicken — amazing! We also had some veggie rolls and the crunch rolls also good. Then we had the steak hibachi — great presentation on a huge plate. Meat was seasoned well and had a nice sauce in addition to the classic white sauce. I thought customer service was great, the server was attentive and remembered I said I wanted the cheesecake for dessert when we first looked at the menu before eating. Our drinks were always refilled before we finished too, which is nice. I would be back!

Great sushi. I don’t know how this place only had 3 stars. I come here a lot and the sushi is always delicious. I took off a star tonight because the service was slow. However, the food was good.
I got the Kathleen Roll and the Shawn Roll. Both are rolls I get a lot. I noticed new rolls were added to the menu, but I didn’t feel like venturing out today. The rolls always taste fresh and have lots of flavor.
There’s 2 Bayridge locations, but I’ve only been to this one. Usually the service is better than it was today. Definitely recommend this sushi place.

I have mixed emotions about Bayridge because of the half dozen times I have eaten at there various locations I have not been entirely impressed. The rolls while ok on flavor lack the ability to stay together when you pick them up to eat. The food is presented nicely. The servers have been pleasant. The cost is higher on some items but if you look for coupons you can save a few bucks. They are ok but not a place I crave to eat my sushi.

Terrible customer service. I went there last week with a friend for lunch and our waiter was so rude and dismissive that when he returned with our drinks, we asked for another waiter so that we would save him from having to serve us and not get a tip. (In retrospect, we should have just left.) He «apologized» and said it was «just part of his character»!!! I asked for his manager and he said that there was not one there. Once he left, a man walked by with a tag that read «manager». I stopped him and told him about the awful service we were getting and how the waiter had just LIED TO US! He listened but essentially said that he couldn’t really do anything because our waiter was related to the owner, but that we were free to write on the comment card that comes with the bill.
Needless to say, I will never be going back there. The food is not worth putting up with the awful service.

Always a good time at this place. I’m giving it 3 stars only because the service is always very slow even when it’s not busy. The sushi rolls are great and Monday is happy hour all day with special priced rolls.

My friend ordered the bubba roll, which was good. I ordered the lunch special Hibachi platter with steak and shrimp. My platter came out cold. I never return food, so I just ate it. As far as the service, there literally was a moment where we didn’t see our server for over a half an hour. He rarely checked on us (there were 2 other tables, so they were not busy at all).We had to have our seater refill our glasses. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I just took my dad here for his birthday lunch the sushi was good but the service was terrible. They had three sushi chefs and it took 15 minutes to get our sushi which was very little one roll each when we were one of three tables in the restaurant only one of which had not been served either. Every time I go in the same man who appears to be the manager is my waiter and he is extremely rude and doesn’t listen to anything you ask for my dad was without a cup of water for a good 20 minutes and I placed an order for more sushi and he completely ignored me and didn’t place the order so I ended up having to wait behind three more tables to get their food. And the roles were about half the size as the previous order I had had when it was the exact same type of sushi.
Very disappointed probably won’t go back.

This place has come a long way since my last visit over a year ago. They have completely renovated the interior– looks so much better.
The menu has a lot of new appetizers (cold & hot). We ordered a few large hot sakes, edamame, tuna takos, krab don (pic provided), seafood soup & avocado salad (pic provided). The edamame was extremely fresh, the tuna takos were stuffed with the freshest tuna & seaweed salad, the krab don were huge jalapeños stuffed w/​cream cheese & krab. The seafood soup is a light broth base with an array of different types of seafood (huge scallops, krab, lobster, huge shrimp & tons of veggies), and the avocado salad was also very fresh & delightful.
For dinner we got a few specialty rolls (super volcano, spicy salmon). We also got the salmon hibachi (pic provided). The presentation was quite impressive. The rolls were delish– also very fresh (the fish eggs popped). The salmon hibachi was ginormous! Two filets, fresh veggies & a ton of lo mein.
Our waitress was awesome! Honestly could not have asked for better service! We will definitely be back to Bayridge :)
