Amazing quality and obvious care in creation of their divine teas and perserves. The honey creams are truly a treat! Their chai tea is as it should be, a rarity in the overly sugared, powdered chai mixes that are often what’s offered. Definitely stop and sample their goods at the Aptos market.

Found this company at my local farmers market in Monterey. Whole Foods stopped stocking my favorite brand of chai tea so I was looking for a new one. Soooo glad I stopped at their little booth. I was given a sample of their Kashmiri Chai. I am hooked! I am some what of a Chai tea snob. The man at the booth was talking about the Kashmiri and it’s blend and such, but I was so into what I was sampling that I forgot what he was talking about. Nice guy though, I hope that they come back because I want to buy more for my mom. $ 12 for 4oz isn’t bad. It actually makes a lot of servings. I will have to buy more because everyone I’ve shared it with wants to steal my bag. The process of making their suggested recipe is a little more involved than making«normal» tea, but it’s all worth it. All in all I just want more and more!

Oh, goodness! I just love my tea from Malabar Trading Company. I had the fortunate experience of finding this booth at the farmers market near Aptos, California while on vacation with family last Christmas. I tasted only two teas at their booth, but fell in love with the Kashmiri chai! Yum. The spices are so aromatic and lovely, a real treat! I bought the 4 oz. bag($ 10?) of Kashmiri in December 2012, and have just finished it, eight months later. I’ll definitely be ordering more. The taste is so wonderful. The guy recommend I use regular milk, which tastes the most decadent. Though, I have made my tea a few times with milk substitutes(a mix of coconut, hemp or unsweetened vanilla almond milk) and also enjoyed the flavor. If you look on their website, they actually give you a tip to «decaffinate» the tea by pouring boiling water of the tea leaves first, then preparing the tea. This is good to know, especially if you want to enjoy your chai for dessert! Their teas are certainly a bit more pricey than what you would find at the grocery store, but you are getting MUCH better quality tea, which is worth it to me!

My favorite way to start and end the day… the Kapha Blend(with extra saffron), and hot rice milk. So worth the price! Truly, you’ll be satisfied with this complex and delicious tisane.

Simply the best teas! Doesn’t get better than this… AND they’re not corporate. Make sure to try their various chai mixes!!!

I found these guys at a local farmer’s market. This company kinda reminds of what Peet’s was like, when they were(Alfred) Peet’s, not Peets. You know, before they went public? Well-versed employees that are passionate about the product they’re selling. High quality, pricey and worth it. I’m leaving a star off until I try more«flavors». They have a very extensive line of teas, all available by phone or mail order.
