My boyfriend and I live to eat breakfast out on weekends! Decided to try this place today. 1. The booth was super dirty. Clean the cracks and at least get the salt and food particles off the seat part! Gross. 2. When my food was placed in front of me I almost sent it immediately back because it smelled awful. It was an oil smell. Like maybe they use cheap oil to fry their even cheaper, small, low grade eggs. The yolks were the size of quarters. Super pale yellow. You aren’t getting nutritious eggs at this place. 3. I guarantee the hash browns are bought frozen in bags. Nothing fresh about them. They smelled like they’d been frozen and in a plastic bag then just heated and barely browned. In fact, they were lukewarm when they arrived. 4. The French toast was tasteless. Barely soaked in any kind of French bread mixture and then quickly heated. It may have been pre made and frozen as well. It literally tasted like warmish bread with syrup on it. 5. I don’t even think they cook their own bacon. It too looked like the pre cooked kind you just heat up and serve. It doesn’t even smell like bacon in the restaurant. 6. They had«homemade cinnamon rolls» as a special today. They didn’t look appetizing. They had about a tablespoon of icing on a roll the size of a saucer plate. 7. Got a side of biscuits and gravy to take home to our son. I opened it when I got home and it’s clearly Pillsbury dough rolls. I know that smell from anywhere. I did hear a microwave beeping off and on in the kitchen the entire stay. Aha!!! See! So, if you don’t mind someone cooking cheap stuff from Walmart for your breakfast, this is your place. I’d have rather stayed home and cooked myself… at least I buy quality food to cook I was just overall not pleased one bit by this place. I only left feeling snooty and wanting to write this Unilocal review. LOL. Thanks Snooty Pig! I know this review is a little harsh, ok– a lot, but I really did leave in a bad mood over what we had just overpaid for. Bad breakfast. Really bad. Argyle deserves a decent breakfast joint. I feel like this place is probably around because it’s the only place around town for breakfast. Or at least one of a very few. Maybe their lunches are better than their breakfasts. I don’t care to try.

The staff is really friendly and attentive. Breakfast is excellent, albeit a bit more expensive than similar fare served at Denny’s and IHOP. Nice variety and down-home cooking though. Lunch is good, especially the burgers and chicken sandwich. However, the fries are the greasiest, soggiest, and worst I’ve ever had. It’s as if the frying oil isn’t hot enough, or maybe they dump the fries in before the oil gets hot and soak it all up. Whatever the reason, the fries are terrible every time. After realizing this will apparently never change, I’ve recently stopped going for lunch.(Only took me about 20 visits to realize this!). Management — please teach the kitchen how to make crispy fries or start calling them something else on the menu! Soggy potato strips maybe?

I love this place. Home cooking and great home town atmosphere. Friendly wait staff that is very attentive and a joy to talk to. I enjoy coming in the morning on weekends for a nice traditional 3 egg breakfast with ham and biscuits, endless hot coffee and a Togo for when the family is sleeping in. My dogs really look forward to a side of meats for a treat as well. You’ll always find some local Argyle and Denton police, sheriff, or firefighters here as well as a few local celebrities like legends of the Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburg Steelers, or Texas Rangers. Snooty Pig also have fresh bakery muffins and sweet rolls. Wish they would bring back the home made pies they used to sell. Come by and Say hi to Marge if you get the chance.

Great food and atmosphere! Our waitress was super nice and accommodating. The food came out quick and our 2 and 3 year old devoured the waffles and pancakes.

Excellent breakfast. Was happy to find this place as I was driving through. Quick service by a friendly waitress. Was able to order exactly what I wanted: two eggs poached with bacon, hash browns, one biscuit with a small side of gravy. The food came out super quick, was cooked perfectly especially the hash-browns. The price very good $ 6.25. Love the name.

My wife and I tried this place a few months ago and while the food was alright, the service left a lot to be desired. From waiting a while to be seated, then left alone for extended periods of time before even ordering our drinks, we had the feeling we were a burden more than valued customers. The food is certainly pretty good with a nice range for brunch fair, but there is no incentive for us to go back anytime soon.

My family came here in between my children’s basketball games. The restaurant was virtually empty, yet we were sat in a booth next to the restrooms. The booth seats were ripped and torn, that was a bad first sign. I should have asked for another table, but my mind was elsewhere for the first few moments. Our waitress took our food order before our drink order, and began with«ya’ll know what ya’ll want?» I realize that when you dine at «the snooty pig» than expectations need be tempered, but this girl was doing nothing to dispel the stereotype of uneducated southerner. Our order taken, we had plenty to watch as the few customers and most of the workers paraded past us to the noisy restroom. I again looked around and only found 20 vacant tables with the same or more room. Fantastic. My order of overhard eggs came out scrambled. My daughters blueberry pancakes had five blueberries on the side. My wife asked for salsa for her burrito and received enough to fill a thimble halfway. Possibly they were trying to save enough $ to recover the seats of their«bathroom view» booth. On a positive note, my sons devoured their French toast, so that seems like a safe bet should you end up here. I love Argyle and wouldn’t live anywhere else, however there are not a lot of options for sit down dining. That said, this place should be avoided.

I have eaten here a few times and it was really good. After this part Sunday, though, I will never go back. I ordered a side of fruit. WHen it arrived, two pieces of the pineapple looked like a bite had been taken out of it. Not really wanting to believe such a place would ever do that, I just set the fruit aside and convinced my self that it was just the way it was cut. As I was about to joke with the waitress and suggest that they might want to cut it differently, I picked it up and saw the perfect teeth imprints. I almost lost it. They gave me my meal for free, but honestly, they should have just charged me because there was NOTHING they can do to ever get me back there.

The food and service are great but the atmosphere leaves something to be desired. Open floorplan with high steel ceilings and concrete floors. Acoustics are LOUD… like eating in a gymnasium… not the place to go if you’re looking for conversation.

I really enjoyed my lunch at Snooty Pig today. I did not have a chance to try any BBQ or anything but I had a delightful chicken salad with the most amazing home made muffin, hand made by Marge herself. I couldn’t even finish it and took it home for my kids to start a feeding frenzy. Very nice service and the place was packed at lunch — so that tells you something. Service from the owner(?) Marge was fantastic too.
