We came in for the breakfast buffet & it exceeded our expectations! The mimosas tasted great & there was such a wide variety on the buffet. They had everything from shrimp, to salad, to eggs Benedict, to waffles & omelets and fresh fruit. I will definitely return!

Honestly, take your well earned money elsewhere. I was completely disappointed and will not return. The staff(not including or server and the omelet lady) were so unprofessional, had no knowledge of that was on the buffet if it had meat or didn’t(one person in my party doesn’t eat meat), they were more into watching the baseball game and having personal conversations. The food was nothing to brag about, and I could probably do better WARNINGWARNINGGOELSEWHERE

Went to dinner on a Friday night. It was completely dead. Kind of strange how they were doing renovation and construction with the few of us customers still in the dining room. Horrendously loud. Our waitress was quirky though and very apologetic so that made up for it. Plus our pizza was dank.

Service started out really poor and ended strong. Keep in mind the place was completely dead. The Chicken Alfredo pizza was great!

New menu is great. We came very early evening, afternoon, really. Our salads came before our wine and dinner way before we were ready. Food was great and service started attentive, then tapered off. Work on timing and this will become a favorite again! And, seriously, turn the music DOWN. I heard more of it than our waiter and our conversation, and where are the toothpicks?

Visited the«new» Birraporetti’s this evening. Unfortunately not any better than the old one. We were big fans over 5 years ago when the food was excellent, service was good and prices were reasonable. Tonight the chicken piccata was an attempt at chicken fried chicken with cream gravy and tough chicken. Salad dressing must have been straight from Kraft bottled Italian dressing. Service lacking, overwhelmed with perfume. The pork chops to go @ $ 24.00 were inedibly dry and over cooked. That included 2 bites of broccoli with no salad. So disappointed, we used to love Birraporetti’s back in the day! Will not go back!!!

I visited the recently remodeled Birraporreti’s for a very late lunch yesterday(Tuesday, April 1) for what turned out to be a «that’s not what I was expecting» meal. For those that don’t yet know, this Birraporreti’s location is under new ownership(they bought it either late last year or the beginning of this year). In mid-March, they completed a renovation of the inside of the restaurant, which is where my first«that’s not what I was expecting» comes in. To be honest, I don’t know what I expected from the redo, though probably something with a little more of an Irish flair(after all, the bar portion of the restaurant is an Irish bar). But the redo looked great, if not a little dark overall. I started my visit with an order of Fried Mozzarella(the menu has it listed under a much more fancy name, but I don’t remember what it is). When it arrived, I had my second«that’s not what I was expecting» moment. Most restaurants, even fancy ones, tend to have skinny sticks. Not here, though. Each Fried Mozzarella stick were almost as thick as they were long. The cheese inside was perfectly gooey and there wasn’t a hint of grease on the outside coating of them. I can say they were some of the best Fried Mozzarella sticks I have ever had. For my entrée, I ordered the Turkey Bacon Club Panini, which led to my next«that’s not what I was expecting» experience. When I think of a Panini, I think of a sandwich that has been pressed down on and heated by a grill. Usually, these sandwiches are served with grill marks on them and the cheese inside comes oozing out when you take a bite. The sandwich that was delivered to my table looked nothing like that. In fact, it didn’t even look like it had been pressed together at all. And the cheese wasn’t even close to being slightly melted(it was still cold). It basically looked like a normal Club sandwich, albeit one made using a specialty bread. Don’t get me wrong… the sandwich I got was very, very good. And it has both the bread and mustard(I ordered mine with that instead of the mayo it comes with) to thank for that. The mustard had a great kick to it that was nicely balanced out, somehow, by the sweetness of the bread roll. I can’t explain how that combination worked, but it did. For dessert, I ordered the Mixed Berry Cobbler & Vanilla Ice Cream. And this resulted in my final«that’s not what I was expecting» moment of the meal. I was served a slice-of-pie-shaped piece of cobbler that had a thick layer of sweet bread on top of it. Individually, both the bread and the berries were good on their own. Unfortunately, when eaten together, the thickness of the bread overpowered what little mixed berry it had. Service was excellent overall. I was greeted immediately after I arrived and was allowed to choose where I wanted to sit(there were no other customers at the time). My server was obviously new and had trouble explaining a few items on the menu to be(she indicated that she had started after the remodeling had completed, so had probably only been there a week or two). However, she kept my tea from running dry and kept my table cleared of dirty dishes. Two things to note: 1) There is a sign on the window at the entrance stating that all previous coupons, including Groupons and certificates, are no longer being accepted. This did not affect my visit since I wasn’t using a coupon or a certificate. 2) Their entire menu is available for delivery until 10PM every day. The menu does not say if, or how much, they charge for delivery. It is good to see this long-time Arlington restaurant(it originally opened in 1991) get a new lease on life. Whether customers of the past few years will be willing to give it another chance remains to be seen. Based on what I saw and experienced, I think the new owners are off to a very promising start.

My family and I decided to try the Sunday brunch as we had a Groupon given to me as a gift. Found out when we arrived that they no longer accept Groupons. I understand if the new owners don’t want to offer Groupons for sale anymore, but why not honor the ones already purchased? It seems that they really need every customer to pay their inflated prices. Decided to stay since we were there and we were hungry. Not a good decision. The buffet seemed to have a fairly good selection: salads, pizza, different pasta dishes, some breakfast foods, fruit/baked goods/dessert, and a waffle/omelet station. Too bad none of it was good except the waffles. The pizza was OK — edible but not great. The pasta dishes seemed to be frozen/jarred food — sauces, ravioli, some kind of gross rolled up chicken spinach thing. Both the marinara sauce and Alfredo were just awful — my kids wouldn’t even eat it and they are HUGE fans of pasta. Yes, we eat jarred pasta sauce at home… The breakfast food consisted of soggy bacon, biscuits, tortillas with eggs, and eggs benedicts. All the hot buffet food had clearly been sitting there for a long time; it looked overheated/dry(except the bacon which was swimming in condensation) and there was not very much of it. The dessert/baked goods station consisted of store bought items — I can buy some muffins and brownies at the grocery store too; that is not what I want to eat at a restaurant. The sliced fruit looked like it had been sliced at least 1 day before we were there. Finally, none of us had an omelet as we were too grossed out by the rest of the food at that point and wanted to leave as soon as possible. However, my son and I thought the waffles were excellent. We did notice the tip jar(inappropriate in my opinion) at the waffle/omelet station… The only point in this restaurant’s favor is that the service was stellar — the waiter was extremely attentive. This was the worst food we have ever paid for. Even Golden Corral has a better quality buffet for less money. The prices are comparable to Cheesecake factory — go there for a much better(non-buffet) brunch. For the prices I can get a Sheraton Buffet breakfast.

This place is really going downhill!!! Took the family there for New Years Eve arrived at 6:00 pm & order Sangria for the ladies only to find out they have ran out? Not willing to make more — follow up we r out of bread? They have pizza but don’t have bread — management does not care at all? Server was very slow — I am sure they were tired of getting beat up by guest — I would not recommend Birraporetti’s to anyone . Cheers

Do NOT purchase the TravelZoo coupon to attend this restaurant. They charge you 18% gratuity of the regular amount with the coupon. I got a 9.95 bottomless mimosa and was charged $ 22.77 for my bill! The food and service was not worth the cost. Will not be returning

Ok let’s make this clear. We were surrounded by frigid air, oddball catering supplies, and a clickish bar group. But, the meatball and pepperoni speciality pizza was DELISH! Service was polite, but terribly slow. Atmosphere was interesting, but cold from no heat. Food was great! Prices were reasonable!

Late night visit at birraporrettis. With little people there due to the rangers game and traffic, I found the restaurant a pretty good visit. My server was quite friendly and the environment was nice and calm. We ordered the crab cake dinner and beef medallions. Both entrees were included with choice of pasta, spaghetti all the way to ravioli, we opted for linguini and fettuccine. Both of our plated were well proportioned and delectable. The crab cake wasn’t dry yet crisp. The medallions were cooked to exactly how I asked. This place has been around Arlington a while. So take the chance and enjoy a local Italian restaurant.

Well what to say. I guess first off I would say, I do want to come back and try this place out again. While I do think the pricing is high the food was good enough to make me want to come back again. I had the stuffed mushrooms caps for an appetizer, which where VERY good. Very surprised how well I liked them. For dinner i tried the chicken amnd mushroom sandwich. The bread used was excellent and the chicken/mushroom ratio was very filling. Could have used some sauce on the sandwich though, it was a little dry. Lasagna was descent and a huge piece. Only bad thing was you could tell it had been pre-made, frozen and quickly heated up. Like I started with, I would give this place another try.

I bought a giftcard for this«restaurant» from . The wait staff was very horrible. The host did not know what he was doing, and sat us down at a dirty table. The food on the menu was an alright spread, but nothing«wowed» me. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo which was $ 8.99 and decided to add chicken onto my pasta for an extra $ 4.00. The 4 dollars was kind of expensive just to add chicken, but I decided I wanted it. When I received my meal, there was literally 4 strips of chicken on the plate with a cup of pasta. I thought to myself that this is ridiculous and that this is not worth $ 4.00. I then asked the waitress if this is seriously the amount of chicken given and she said yes. I asked her to explain why there is only 4 strips of chicken, and she said«that’s just the way we do it.» I truly would never come here again. The place has a terrible atmosphere and the food is literally garbage. I unfortunately have another GiftCard to this restaurant, so I think I will get some food for a homeless person :)

To me, Birraporetti’s is overwhelmingly underwhelming. There isn’t a huge list of negatives; nothing major to complain about. But on the other side of the scale, there isn’t a whole lot to get excited over either. I went here early on a weekday for lunch, around 11:15, right after they opened. The restaurant was totally empty, which is understandable. Clean, dim, and plain. I’m sure it’s much more exciting in the evening(they’re open pretty late) and at Sunday brunch — which is apparently the best time to come here(tons of food and live jazz). I was able to sit wherever I wanted, so I chose a booth seat by a window. There isn’t much of a patio atmosphere here, if that’s what you’re looking for. My waiter was 100% friendly and attentive. Of course, I was the only soul in the restaurant! But I’d say the service was great. I ordered off the lunch menu, which has pretty decent prices. For around $ 12, I got the grilled whitefish with sauteed spinach and a side Caesar salad. I also paid extra to add a side of garlic mashed potatoes. Again, I can’t really complain about the food. It wasn’t bad at all, but it was just so plain. The fish was grilled well, but lacked flavor. My favorite part of the meal was the Caesar salad. Apparently they make a homemade dressing, and although there was too much in my bowl, it was extremely tasty! My least favorite food had to be the mashed potatoes… they really had that powdery, cafeteria-school-lunch taste going on. Perhaps they’re made from a box? I have no idea, I just know that I didn’t care for them. The waiter took them off my ticket, even though I didn’t ask him to do that(I mean, I ordered them so I was happy to pay — I never ask for something to be taken off my bill unless I’m billed for something I never ordered, or I’m given something that has serious issues!). Anyway, it was nice of my waiter to do that for me. This review itself is pretty plain and boring… Sorry guys. I plan to visit Birraporetti’s for a Sunday brunch and I’ll let y’all know if it’s as awesome as I’ve heard. Waffles and Italian food?! Weird, but I’m in!
