Finally made my way here! It was packed being over the Memorial Day Holiday. I guess I was not the only one wantng something other than Barbque. Since it was crowed our wait was about 20 mins. The time flew by as we sat and looked at all the décor that, was on display. They also have T-Shirts that you can purchased and they were selling right out the door. This is a family establishment so children are in the house. That is not big deal to me as it reminds me of family time. We finally were able to be seated they took us towards the back towards the restroom. Of course that was a no GO… So we asked to be seated else where. They immediately sat us at another table. First off we tried the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom it was spicy and since I like spicy it was a hit for me. We ordered the appetizer that had a little of everything on it. It was so yummy and filling we questioned our main meal. We ordered the Bigger than your face Burrito. It was just that… bigger than your face. We got a free queso for telling them it was out first time here. So of course queso it is on my Burrito.(Chicken) I had a very good Margarita and it was point with the liqour. The prices are very reasonable and plan on coming back in the very near future.

We had 2 adults and a kid. It was kinda crowded, so we had to wait. It didnt take us long to get a seat which was a good. Our waiter was very nice and handsome, lol! We ordered the Chuychunga and a kids chicken strips. The food came out fast and hot! Everything was sooo delicious! The waiter kept our drinks filled. Overall, everything was awesome! I will definitely come back !

Usually I go here and never have issues, however, I went this evening and sat in the open patio. After waiting 20 mins, making eye contact with the waiter multiple times, and seeing the waiter make multiple stops at surrounding tables, I still was never able to order drinks or food. I was hungry, so I just got up and left. I called and spoke with the manager who gave me a weak apology and then asked if I wanted to come back and eat. When I replied, «No thanks», he said Ok and immediately hung up. I gave one star since I didn’t even get to eat.

Usually I go to chuy’s when I crave a good petition of enchiladas. I always get the queso so addicting it makes me forget I have food coming. The staff is pretty friendly but not too personal. I usually go for the green Chile rice though because the Mexican rice is pretty bland and dry. And if you’re struggling between refried beans and charro beans I say go refried. Its a good flavor to compliment with the left over sauce from your plate.

So if you look through my reviews you’ll see the food I eat the most is Mexican food. I tend to be a bit finicky about my Mexican food, but Chuys does everything right. From the light and crisp tortilla chips, to the Super fresh and bursting with flavor salsa, this place knows how to please the palate from the jump. There is nothing I dislike on the menu, hover my personal favorite is the ground sirloin burrito with boom boom sauce. I wish I could cover everything with boom boom sauce. .like literally everything. The world would be a better place if boom boom sauce was readily available. Did I tell yall I love the boom boom sauce? So yeah, Chuys also has a kick ass happy hour which includes cheap booze and a nacho bar which is FREE!!! If you’ve not been, I suggest you run here. You will not be disappointed. Oh and get some boom boom sauce. You’ll be glad you did!

Yum! I love this place. They were my first introduction to Tex-Mex, and after trying a few other places, it’s still my fave. I am a pescetarian now(veggie plus seafood), and I’ve figured out my perfect combination of items. Bring a friend(or two) and share the«special nachos.» They are a platter of chips, slightly thicker to hold the individually loaded array of toppings. They are simply delicious, and each bite has everything you want. Then, have some shrimp and cheese chile rellenos topped with their spicy queso sauce. Holy cow! If you’re lucky, it’ll be the perfect time of year for spicy peppers and these will knock your socks off. I even think the beans are excellent. They have flavor, instead of just being a typical pasty texture. The rice is fairly bland, but whatevs, you can’t win them all! They can be busy, but if you’re down to sit in the bar area, you can often shave that wait time down to nothing.

Chuy’s is a perennial favorite of mine — consistently delicious food, excellent margaritas, great service, and the cheery, absurd Chuy’s décor that I love so very much. They bring out the standard chips and salsa, but be sure to ask for the table sauce(smooth, creamy salsa with chunks of pepper and carrot cooked to perfection) and the creamy jalapeño(wicked good spicy ranch dip) as well. If you’re in the mood for queso, try getting a bowl(or cup) of the Boom-Boom Sauce instead — this stuff is crazy good. Think spicy queso bursting with hatch chiles. Wildly addictive. It’s also available as a sauce, so if you get hooked you can order your enchiladas, burrito, or chile relleno slathered in it. This isn’t authentic Mexican food — it’s straight-up delicious Tex-Mex. As long as you bring an appetite and don’t come here looking for your grandmother’s enchiladas you’ll be very, very well taken care of. The veggie food options are reasonably varied and all top notch. My standard fare is the Veggie Combo, which comes with a vegetable enchilada and a cheese chile relleno(sooooo much food), but the Deluxe Nachos are delicious and filling, and the Bean & Cheese Big as Yo’ Face Burrito is also terrific — packed with flavor, and wrapped in one of the most flavorful tortillas I’ve ever eaten. The relleno and veggie enchiladas are also available as entrees independent of each other. The house margaritas are delightful and pack a good punch, and the service is always friendly and fast. I’ve taken a few non-veg friends here as well, and they’ve all been well taken care of, too. The portions are pretty giant, so come hungry. Atmosphere is pretty standard for Chuys, which is not standard at all. Goofy, garish decorations, ridiculous giant palm trees and enormous, colorful artwork. And, of course, the abundant obligatory Elvis paraphernalia. Entertaining, bright, cheerful, and altogether absurd. The bar area is usually hopping, but it’s nice to have a place to settle while you’re waiting, and there’s an awesome salsa bar(in the trunk of an old car) during happy hour. This location also has a nice patio — I’ve spent many hours sitting out there enjoying good company or even just enjoying some good Tex-Mex, people-watching, and reading a book by myself(dining alone is seriously underrated). Really the only drawback is that it’s quite loud, particularly during busy times, and on weekend evenings you can wind up with some pretty impressive wait times. Apparently I’m not the only one who’s a fan. If you care about the conversation and the place is packed, either try to get a seat on the patio(MUCH quieter) or go elsewhere. Don’t take your date here on a Saturday night expecting to have a lively conversation.

Chuy’s is always consistent, fairly priced, and serves delicious food. It’s my number one pick when my husband gets a Tex-Mex craving, or if we are trying to think of a place to meet up with friends/family. I’ve never once gone with someone who wasn’t as crazy about their food as I was. And frankly? If you don’t like Chuy’s then I’m not sure we can still be friends ;-) The wait was 30 minutes for two on a Saturday night, but we were able to find a warm spot inside to sit so it worked out. I thought about grabbing a margarita from the bar, but people kept opening the door and blasting in cold air so I waited to get my frosty beverage. I have no idea how the hostess in a spaghetti strap dress and thin cardigan was staying warm, but good for her. Once seated our waters and my margarita were out in a flash, as were chips and both salsa and jalapeño ranch sauce. I want to put that sauce on everything! Addicted. I got my usual cheese enchiladas with hatch green chili sauce(hot hot hot!), green chili rice, and refried beans. When a dish makes me sweat a little while still being enjoyable then I know I made the right choice. My husband ordered their Saturday special which was three pork tacos, Mexican rice, and refried beans. Not a lot of talking happened while we ate. Everything came out piping hot and just right. Count on us being back very soon.

Good vibe … Good food. Not the most authentic but well worth the visit. Being from Chi Town, I’m loving seeing what Texas has to offer.

One of my favorite spots. Inexpensive food. Drink prices are ridiculous but in my opinion most drink prices at resturants are. Location is always clean, always busy, always friendly. Today I didn’t feel like cooking sooooo I got the Thursday special, stuffed avacado filled with chicken and the Queso Compuesto. I also decided to sit at the bar and have a drink, the Grand Ma’s Rockin’ Rita. Citrus tasting but it’s alright. Served its purpose because I’m feeling it! Lol.

It’s hard to go to Tex-Mex places because it never delivers the true Mexican flavor I’m looking for. Yes my mom always cooked for us and the standards for Mexican food are very high. I know that I shouldn’t judge Tex-mex places since they are not true Mexican food. Well let me tell you this place always delivers. The service is one of the best in the Arlington highlands and if they ever have something wrong they ask no questions– they just make it better. The restaurant is always busy and for good reasons. They keep the place clean, they stay on top of things and on happy hour they have good drinks specials plus a nacho/chips and queso bar that’s free if you sit in the bat area. One of my favorite things here is the charro beans. I know weird a Mexican that loves beans. They are spicy and have great flavor. My top pick for this place are the al carbon tacos. Their fajita meat is very tender and not tough like other places. Next time you want good service and great food stop by and try it for yourself.

There are lots of TexMex places in Texas, and Chuy’s is the best(at least for vegetarians). All the veggie items get little«no cow» symbols on the menu. The best item by far is the special nachos: they have a type of tortilla chip(really, half a small tortilla) that’s especially thick just for their nachos(which are covered with vegetarian refried beans, real cheddar cheese, and tons of other toppings). I often order the special nachos as an entrée; they’re that good. The staff is always nice and generally funny. It’s an eclectic place and proud of it. Expect things like a framed pet photo room, a salsa bar in a car, and a disturbing Elvis obsession throughout the place. The lines are often long at mealtimes(I’ve waited 45 minutes before) but it’s worth it. Spend your waiting time at the bar or browsing the bizarre/hilarious t-shirts. This is a very inexpensive place(at least for the veggie items) and frankly, should charge more.

First and Foremost I came here on a Saturday and in my opinion you can never judge a restaurant by how they are on the weekends cause if it’s a popular restaurant like chuys, they will have a huge crowd on Friday and Saturday nights so I know that’s it’s very hard catering to customers every need but I was impressed because the wait staffs and chuys were very accommodating. The food was good but I was more amazed at how fast they sat us and got our food prepared.

The service wasn’t the best but it definitely wasn’t the worst. Me and a couple of friends decided to eat here after the hour long wait at another restaurant which we ended up ditching. We were seated here in less than 15 minutes which was great! FUNNYSTORY! The first time I ate here with the same group of friends the waitress accidentally spilled water on me. Tonight the same thing happened again!!! Both times they were truly sorry and apologized multiple times. Other than that the waiter tonight was very hospitable, but you can tell that being a waiter was not his passion in life. Now the food is pretty ok. Everything you’d expect from a Mexican chain restaurant, with nothing particularly unique about the menu. The chips and salsa were really good! Especially the salsa! I just love salsa. Anyways, we also had the creamy jalapeño sauce for the chips as well. In my honest opinion it tasted like I was dipping my chips in pure ranch dressing. But I love ranch so I was absolutely fine with that! Then I ordered the Classic Tex Mex enchiladas which were basically cheese enchiladas with red onions on top, served with rice and beans. Pretty good! But again nothing special. Overall if you are looking for a typical Mexican restaurant then this is the place to go!

I always forget we have a Chuy’s. Not sure why because the food is solid. It may have something to do with when I get my bill. Great Mexican food in Texas should be cheap in my humble opinion, but this isn’t. Hence why I always forget about it. Started with queso. It’s hot, creamy and has just the right amount of spice. Don’t forget to ask for the homemade tortillas. It just isn’t right otherwise. I had the soft taco plate and it was fine. Nothing special there. Again I loved the homemade tortillas. Daughter had the kids cheese enchilada and she loved it. Hubs got the Southwestern with the fried egg and it was delicious. When you cut into the egg the yolk just oozes onto the chicken stacked with blue corn tortillas. Definitely the best thing we had. Overall it’s a great and crowded place. Just a tad pricy when there are many other options.

Came here on a Saturday night and had to wait about 40 minutes for a table. Having never been here I wasn’t sure what to expect but the décor is engaging, humorous and a step back to the 60’s. They have a lot of Elvis memorabilia and automobile décor. When we sat down our waiter, Matt, came right over and took drink orders for us. He was attentive, funny and an excellent waiter, even when my brother in law wanted to take a picture with him with a selfie stick. The food was more than what I thought it would or could be. The menu has anything tex-mex you would want; burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, tacos, fajitas, etc. The big as your head burritos are what they are known for. I ordered the fajita steal taco salad; it came in a tortilla bowl with romaine lettuce, cheese, guacamole, beef, and other mix. It was light and delicious. My hubby ordered the chile rellenos. They were crisp and cheesy on the inside. One of the other things I liked is they have the silver wear in paper wrappers and on the wrapper are catholic, Jewish and Protestant prayers. You don’t see that much anymore and I loved the idea. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious and the restaurant was clean and fun. I will definitely come back.

2nd visit to this very busy location. They have a decent number of booths, tables, and barstools available in the bar area, if you are not looking to wait. There is also something they call a «nacho bar» in the bar(for bar patrons if I understand correctly), but it looks like nothing more than chips & salsa. Nothing special there. On both visits here, we sat in the bar. The service is not speedy in the bar, but it can be described as reasonably attentive. This appears to be a great option if you do not mind all the portraits of dogs in evening gowns adorning the walls. So, Chuy’s is a bit on the quirky side, right? It really does look like someone in charge of decorating is 100% not a cat person… just sayin’. The strawberry margaritas are awesome, and at $ 5.50 each, very affordable. Compare that to a $ 9.50 pomegranate margarita. As I have said before, ask for the creamy jalapeño dip for your chips. It is life-changing. I also think their chunky, homemade salsa is awesome, but my companion was not as thrilled. I like the fact they are not ashamed of a little heat on the table. I noticed they have daily«suggestions» on a flap of the menu, but I am not sure if these are available every day. Anyway, this visit we ordered the Combo Fajitas for two(about $ 25). I came out quickly and with that requisite sizzle. You get your choice of charro or refried beans and traditional or green chile rice. The green chile rice is quite good. An important note: if you are going to oder the Fajitas for Two, make sure you are not occupying one of the tiny tables because this is A LOT of food! It covered the whole table! Everything was fresh & seasoned to perfection. The beef was moist and sliced across the grain, as it should be. The chicken had a great flavor, but it was slightly over-cooked. Still, as fajitas go, they were delicious. Chuy’s is a favorite now as they have very reasonable prices, great food, and good service.

You can never say No to Great Tex-Mex Food… This is one of my favorite Tex-Mex place to eat at. I love the factor how they make their own tortillas! You can stand by the window to see how it’s being done. Which means it’s some fresh stuff . When I’m in doubt on what I want to eat. My favorite the combination fajitas, which includes beef & chicken… But when I’m craving for something with a little kick to it. It’s the chicka-chicka boom boom… It’s so full of spice & flavor to that dish… It’s indescribable… You have to give it a try and let your taste palette decide… They do offer different special dish throughout the week, so you can always go with their recommended dish for that day! Of course you can never go wrong with the complimentary chips & salsa… Don’t forget to ask for the ranch-jalapeño dip, it add a kick to your chips

The Elvis Chicken with ‘Boom Boom’ Sauce is spicy goodness. The chips and salsa are fresh and enjoyable for what it is. Chuy’s isn’t authentic to the Mexican culture but it is certainly a nice spin of several different cuisine influences. The t-shirt wall is pretty ‘catchy’ and eclectic. They have some yummy drinks too, so check out the bar while you’re here. Update on 4÷3÷2016: Visiting the Arlington location again. The food was excellent but the undesirable, dilapidation of society was present everywhere. Arlington is «ewww, so naaaaaasty.»

Chicka chicka boom boom, will be there be enough room? Not only is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom one of my favorite childhood books, it’s also my favorite item on the menu at Chuy’s. Their enchiladas are super yummy! Chuy’s is a great spot for lunch as they get you in and out quickly. It’s also a great spot for happy hour. You can go to the nacho bar, which is in an old car, and get chips, queso, and salsa for free while you sip on their margaritas. Chuy’s is great for dinner as well. I have never been disappointed with waiting, the food, or the service. That’s why I keep coming back.
