Lots of meat, yummy white sauce and great customer service? What more do you want. I get it whenever I’m near Arlington and wished it was closer. This is coming from someone who ate halal guys in Chicago a few times a month. Closest dupe to it IMO. I’ve only had their platters so can’t comment on anything else although my rents eat their wrap and rave about it too.

Great place for Halal food in Arlington. My personal favorite is the mixed gyro and chicken and rice plate. Its great to have the pita bread to top it off as well. I would highly recommend them to have a refillable soda machine, but unfortunately they only sell cans and bottles. They also have 3 levels of spicy that you can choose from. Tip: DROWN your plate with the white sauce

Definitely a new favorite! I had the gyro and chicken platter, which comes on rice, and added pita. I am a spicy lover, but skipped the spicy this time. My husband ordered gyro on French fries(no rice). It was delicious! The white sauce ties everything together perfectly. I would buy the sauce by the bottle if I could! It reminds me of the sauce from an old, now closed, hometown favorite of mine. We will be going back for sure. If it was up to my husband, we would be there again for dinner tonight! I am looking forward to trying the hot sauce next time.

They’re baaackkkk! CRIES. I was so worried when they temporarily closed down, but now it’s more like a real restaurant with the spacious remodeling and cool air interior! The entire time they went MIA, I was craving their mixed plates and gyros like no other and swore that if something lame replaces New York Eats, I will petition for them to come back. BEST gyros, in my opinion. The pita bread that holds it together is soft, fluffy, and airy and the meat is so tender. You can choose from chicken, lamb, or both. Packed with flavor and then those kicking red and creamy white sauces combine as the finishing blow. I love their platters also. I recommend the gyro, chicken, and falafel over rice plate for your first time, so that you can taste a little bit of everything and see what you like. The rice is mildly seasoned to match with all the other ingredients and it’s a gorgeous bright orange color, with crunchy lettuce, and two crispy falafel patties. I had a falafel appetizer at Prince Lebanese once, and it was soooo dry and tasted weird. New York Eats does it right. Spice level is from 0 – 3 and you can add in pita bread or fries. These come in for free when you check in! Their fries are the kind that I adore– less potato, super skinny, and overly golden crispy, like you’re eating chips. Yaaas. Customer service is nice. If you come here regularly, the cashier will recognize you. To-go orders take about 5 – 8 mins if business is slow. They give you a take home menu, extra sauces, and spoons for you because they already know! ;) I always recommend NYE to anyone who enjoys Halal food. Always my favorite Halal establishment!

It’s ok: predominantly college students in here who would appreciate this Indian SubContinent take on Mediterranean platters. Sandwiches and more. I ordered the Gyro/falafel platter over rice: it’s average, won’t scare the parents of any college student visiting. Wiping down and cleaning the tabletops doesn’t seem to be anyone’s job or anyone’s priority though. Hmmm!

The taste is close to the ‘Halas Guys’ food cart in NYC. I am happy with it! So delicious! Definitely should request for the most spicy(3 stars)!

That hot sauce(level 3) is fantastic! Spicy, but doesn’t overwhelm the meal. The gyro and rice plate is extremely tasty and the portion is the prefect size. Friendly staff and reasonably priced, located in walking distance of campus.

THATSAUCEDOH. This is my third time here, but I would’ve been here more often if it wasn’t for the sudden fire shortly after their reopening. I had hardcore cravings for their rice plates for two months, that’s how good this stuff is! The place wasn’t full but it was probably because they hadn’t officially announced their re-opening yet. I got this stuff to-go because cuddling up with this and Netflix sounded like heaven… oh I was so wrong. The 20-minute drive from here to home was torture, the glorious smell was just hanging and saying, «oh I’m good aren’t I~» and I was getting anxious about the falafel losing its perfect crisp. I finally got home, used all my energy to not eat before taking pictures, and stuffed my face in a way that would probably make you not wanna introduce me to your parents. My Order: — Chicken and falafel over rice: $ 7.49 — extra falafel(because I’m so extra): $ 1.49 — spicy Not much to say except OMGASDFJHALSDYESS! Great as always, falafel crisp and on point even though it was all steamed up in the bowl on the 20 minute drive, chicken and rice super flavorful and yummy, lettuce is lettuce, and the sauce bangin as usual. Total Price: $ 9.70

Everyone needs to try this place at least once. Their food has a really special taste, both times I ordered the No.1 combo platter and it didn’t disappoint me. The platter has more than enough meat for me, but if you are meat lover then you’d be very happy! I always add a TON of white sauce on top and add more half way through. The customer service is average, it’s understandable though cause they are busy. Overall, everything is great at this place! I will update again after I eat there few more times.

Wow this place really blew my away! Located just minutes from UTA and the parking lot, this is right behind Beirut and can easily be miss. They serve fast and quick food, price is about $ 8 a bowl or depending what else you get can be cheaper. I got the chicken and falafel rice bowl and you can ask them to make it extra spicy(which I did of course you know me!) it was definitely not for those that can’t handle spice, it was the perfect amount for spice fanatics like us(: This place is not affiliated with the New York pizza joint next door I don’t think, they only sell Halal food here and it’s definitely worth a try! Comparable to The famous halal guys in New York ! They have a little cute dorm feeling In there with a New York feel so that’s quite nice. I only had an hr for lunch and they got me in and out in no time and I chose to eat there! Tldr: consider this the chipotle of halal food, that and no people getting e. coli here!

Food — 5⁄5 stars! Had the gyro/falafel bowl. everything perfectly seasoned and cooked. Both the sauces are excellent and they have bottles on the tables so you can go crazy if you want to. Décor/environment — 4⁄5 stars! Recently expanded, added more seating, which is great! Only complaint. one restroom only and it was locked the whole time were there. Not open to the public? Also, they keep the TVs LOUD. First the Matrix was on, then Fast & Furious. do they need to blast action movies 24⁄7? Service — 3⁄5 stars! The employees were friendly. My main complaint was the inconsistency in service. We had 4 people, 2 different orders placed. The first order came out within 10 minutes. After that, a new customer came in who got their food before us(the 2nd order), and they also prepared a to-go order before we got our food. When it did come out, it only had gyro and they said falafel was coming. It took forever to get our entire order out. They gave us a free soda and offered free fries for the wait, but they just simply decided to make other people’s food before ours. Very strange.

What can be said about New York Eats… Not much if you’re here because your mouth will be too full to speak. Orange saffron colored rice, with a hint of orange food coloring, house made falafel, and deliciously spiced gyro meat, chopped pita bread, and the ubiquitous white sauce, and spicy red sauce that will make you feel as if you are in New York ordering from Halal Guys, but without the three hour wait. Yes, people in New York wait hours for food served like this, and yes its oftentimes in the bitter winter cold, with nothing but the collective body heat of the queue, the layers of cloathing, a coffee in hand, and the idea of the delicious flavors about to be experienced as the scent of gyro wafts through the air to see them through the long line. One bite of this stuff on a hungry day and you get it. This food is well worth the wait, thankfully at NY Foods you get all the Halal Guys taste without the NYC wait, and that is a beautiful thing.

As someone who grew up with The Halal Guys on 53rd and 6th a 20 minute late night drive away and the awesome Juicy Platters 10 minutes away, this place gets a solid 3rd place in my book. Just like the two aforementioned locations, New York Eats serves your«street» NY Halal food. In addition to that, it also serves burgers and the like. The inside of the restaurant is a little tight, but, I could see and hear that they were doing construction when I came in so I know they are expanding. Situated next to a college campus, I bet it’s an awesome place for college students. For the food, I got the chicken platter with pita bread, some spicy sauce, and of course: a variation of the white sauce. Though it may not have been as juicy as I have desired, it definitely did fulfill a longtime craving of something similar to the Halal Guys. Would I come back here on a late night if I ever am again in the Arlington area? Yes.

I had really high hopes for this place but was slightly disappointed :( The restaurant overall was pretty tight in space and is probably a little small to accommodate lots of groups or families. Overall, the service was pretty good. The employees were friendly. I ordered a spicy gyros sandwich and after spending $ 6 plus tax, expected to see meat, but only saw VERY finely chopped pieces. The sandwich was tiny and fit in a single hand, mind you my hands definitely aren’t the largest… The sandwich was very well flavored but had too much sauce to the point where it was dripping. The shredded lettuce was also a little limp. I would really appreciate if there was more meat, fresher veggies, and lesser sauce and maybe if the price was chopped by a buck. If the price is kept at $ 6, I think it would be more fitting if it came with a small side or something. Sadly, I ended up meandering around my kitchen later that night for food again.

My first time coming here since they remodeled and open back up again. It is more spacious than before. The décor is simple and reference to New York(hence the name). As always, the people who work there are super friendly. They are very welcoming and helpful. I normally get the chicken and gyro over rice. This time I also had some of fries. The food came out promptly and was delicious. The fries were crispy and hot. The chicken was tender which was a nice contrast to the crispness of the fresh lettuce in the dish. The dish comes with white and red sauce but I always ask for extra white and red sauce. The special white sauce must have crack in it because it is so yummy and addicting. Overall it is my favorite to-go spots when I’m craving some halal food.

This place is kinda hard to find as it is practically a whole in the wall but they are currently expanding ! Upon walking in, we saw that they were fairly busy. They had a simple menu, basically pick the type of meat you want in the platter and have it in rice or pita. We got the gyro over rice with pita and another one with fries(free fries/pita with Unilocal check in!). Our order was freshly made in the back and when it came out oooohhh man it looked so good! They were very generous with the meat and the sauce. They even offer the sauces on the side for you to add if you don’t feel like what they’ve put is enough. The meat is tender and flavorful and there’s lots with every bite! The rice is quite greasy though(probably the only thing I didn’t love about this dish) However, this is the closest thing I’ve had to the Halal guys in NY around DFW, we’ll definitely be back! The platter with the fries was interesting(they put the fries on top), next time I’ll see if I can get fries instead of the rice and just have the meat/sauce on top of fries only. Overall, this place is delicious and definitely worth a try!

This place is incredible! We stopped by while shopping at the outlet malls. The service is very friendly and helpful. I’ve been looking for some good chicken and lamb over rice since I got back from New York and this place hits the spot. Please open one in north Dallas.

WHAT A GEM! Who knew that there was a delish Halal place right outside my university?! I didn’t, until now. I’m going to be such a loyal customer, its not even funny. With some of my top 3 favorite food options, halal is definitely a topper, and this place does NOT disappoint. With their student-friendly pricing at $ 6.99/rice plate with any meats you want, what more could a ravishing girl ask for? Maybe some more of their sexy white sauce and spicy red sauce. Mhm. My recommendation is to get the mixed rice plate with chicken and gyro plus falafel and extra sauces. If you can’t handle spicy then just easy on the red sauce. But it’s just pure wonderfulness in a plate I promise its worth that sting. This is my new go-to study munchies for this upcoming fall semester, aw yiss. Go go go! What are you waiting for?! Totally gives Halal Bros in ATX a run for its money. Literally, since its $ 3 cheaper than their plates… Lol

I had really high expectations of this place just because of the reviews, but I was so disappointed. First, the place was super hot because of the lack of AC. There were only 2 – 3 little fans around the restaurant, which made it high uncomfortable to eat. The place itself is pretty small, and the tables were dirty. The food itself wasn’t that great. It tasted like it’s been left out, not fresh at all. And to put a cherry on top of everything, I found a hair in my food(after I was already basically done). I don’t recommend this place at all. Still shuttering at the thought of the hair.
