The food is BOMB here. It’s getting over looked and it shouldn’t. The TOSTADASDETINGA w/avocado are A MUSTHAVE. The chips and salsa are yummy! We love this place! Yummmm yummm yummmm. *rice and beans are ehhhh* but I can live without that. Very clean and very friendly! Also make sure to check in on Unilocal for 15% off your ticket.. .nice lil bonus

The food was way ok. The service was good. The Hot sauce was probably best thing Besides the dessert. Glad I had a Unilocal coupon to try this place.

Delicious Tacos! 5 or 6 different kinds, the pork and the al pastor were my favorite! I am not a fan of salsa served warm, but when we asked for cold salsa, they brought me the most delicious salsa verde I have ever eaten! Casual and Friendly, awesome waitress, We don’t live in Grand Prairie, but when we are anywhere close, we will be eating here!

Poor service, mediocre food, and not vegetarian-friendly. Our server, Omar, was unfamiliar with the menu and had difficulty answering questions. He was not the right personality-type to be a server. The menu only had a couple vegetarian items on it and we had to special order cheese enchiladas. There were a couple good things: the salsa and the queso fundido. Both were excellent. But, the rest was underwhelming. The cheese enchiladas were weird; we commented that the cheese wasn’t melted and the owner said it was supposed to be that way. They put the cold cheese in the warm tortilla and top it with warm sauce and call it authentic. We call it weird and it cools off very quickly with that core of cold cheese. After the first few bites the whole thing was cold. The rice was okay and the cheese and jalapeño tamales were bland. Based on the good reviews for this place, we were hopeful to find a good Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately this is not it.

The people there are AWESOME and everything I’ve ever ordered was delicious. The flautitas are my favorite.

Great homemade salsa & guacamole. I ordered the pollo con mole & it was delicious. Dinner partner ordered the chile relleno classico and he was raving. Good service and a full bar with high quality tequila. The ambiance is like your childhood Mexican restaurant, but the quality of the dishes is upscale Mexican. A great find in this part of Tejas.

The food here is great. I have tried almost everything here, personally I loved the enchilada with verda(spicy) .The beans are hot not spicy and the rice is not to bad but it can be better. The Tamales are are hot and ready. The wait time is about 10 to 20 minutes, they will tell you how much time you have every 5 minutes. The salsa is hot for the chips.

Good food. Definitely some on the best in the area. I got the taco platter with a tilapia, pork, and barbacoa tacos. The tilapia and pork tacos were cooked perfectly but was a bit bland just needed more seasoning. The barbacoa was delicious. The rice and beans were very good, normally I don’t like them at other restaurants. The chips were pretty standard but the salsa was very very good. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable, nothing special. The waitress was attentive and very nice. We got there right when they opened and I don’t think they were really ready for customers but I still had a nice lunch. Will definitely go back and excited about the delivery service!

Not your grandmother’s Tex-Mex. The authentic Southern Mexican cuisine is a welcome from the humdrum of local chain Tex-Mex. My wife had the Sopa Chile Poblano and it was very creamy and flavorful but not too spicy. I had two al Pastor street tacos and one Beef Barbacoa taco. The tacos were very flavorful, maybe the best barbacoa ever. The rice was very delicate and the refried beans were very tasty. And the salsa which is served warm was absolutely wonderful. All in all we had a great meal and will be coming back for more.

Service was good. Chips and salsa were yummy-salsa is warm. Had queso flameado-decent, have had better. Tortillas, you can tell are not homemade. Hubs had nachos, I had the Tinga tostadas. Nachos are run of the mill with a cheese sauce. The fajita beef was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The Tinga tostadas were ok. I am used to a spicy and tangy Tinga sauce, but this was just chicken sautéed with a little tomato sauce. The beans were good, but the rice tasted funky. Probably won’t be back, because I can make that type of Mexican food at home, semi-homemade and pretty tasty. If you want true homemade Mexican food, go a little bit further into Mansfield and go to Mama Cucas!

The service was slow. The«fundedo» appetizer had WAY too much alcohol on it, which didn’t all burn off. The meal itself was very good, though, hence the 4 stars and not 3 or less. I’ll probably try this place again sometime, but skip the appetizer… or at least THAT appetizer.

After reading all of the rave reviews, I had to check out Polanco’s for myself. Like previously stated, this place is in the parking lot with a CVS. The closest restaurants are a mile or two away in any direction. When I finally made it to Polanco’s, I wanted to kick myself for not trying it out sooner. It’s good, authentic Mexican food. The night we went they were playing live music and I enjoyed the band. To start off my cousin and I ordered margaritas. I got the mango margarita that had the chile salt around the rim and it was good. My only negative comment is that we asked for water and when we finally got it, we guzzled it down and didn’t get a refill. But I think that can be easily fixed. The food is really good and I enjoyed the salsa. It was a nice complement to the chips(although there was a bit too much salt on the chips). This place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood, definitely be sure to check them out!

I had the beef Barbacoa Chili Relleno. It was the best Chili Relleno I ever had. The folks were very attentive and smiling friendly. I will be back. Again and again.

WiFi Friendly — Which is great as I often work while at lunch. This place is a gem in a restaurant desert. There aren’t many other businesses nor food options in the area so they’re taking a risk making their home in the neighborhood. This place is defiantly worth driving over to even if it takes you off the well worn paths of Matlock and Cooper street. Price wise — More than a cheap restaurant, less than an expensive one. I had the $ 9 Street Taco plate, which had an amazing selection of meat-styles to choose from. I got Carnita, Al Pastro, and Fajita Chicken but they had at least 8 or 10 to choose from, including Shrimp at no extra cost which is fantastic. Normally your only choices are beef or chicken. The rice was great you could actually taste a touch of tomato in it and it had a nice natural flavor to it. The beans were good as well, not too thin nor too thick. The presentation is was also fantastic. The Salas is rather fantastic, served warm and you can clearly taste different seasonings and goodies in it instead of the ‘ketchup salsa’ as I call it you find at many lower-end Mexican restaurants. The Chips were really good as well. The red ones were cute, and tied in the black/red décor and the texture reminded me of a Frito corn chip, though thinner but not paper thin. They had a good bite to them. I don’t drink much but they do have a full bar that you can actually go sit at so it seems like a nice place to hangout in the evenings. The manager/owner told me they have karaōke planned with prizes, as well as already having other events that include live music. They work hard to engage their patrons/community, which I think is great and is something you usually only get from a true mom and pop restaurant that cares about their community. Rebuttal to some other reviews I’ve seen on here. — Street Tacos are suppose to be small. In fact the ones I got here had more meat on them than I find is standard. Plus you got a really nice selection of meat-types to choose from. — Portions are not all that small, I’d say they are standard portions overall. We in the south sometimes get spoiled at some restaurants who give us far more than we can eat. You shouldn’t leave a restaurant feeling stuffed like on Thanksgiving. — Service was good. I was checked on regularly about refilling my drink and asked twice if everything was too my liking. — Limited Menu = Good Menu. That’s what I feel. I’d rather go somewhere with 10 items they pride themselves in then a menu of 50+ items that are only so-so. They have the normal favorites, Fajitas, Gauc, Nachos, and Tacos as well as a few more ‘refined’ classics. What more could you really want from a nice little Mexican restaurant? Chicken nuggets? All in all, I left paying $ 9.74 with tax. I really don’t think that’s all that steep for a nice lunch. Fast Food Mexican with a similar amount of food would still run you $ 5 – 6. A comparable meal = Two Taco-Bell Tacos, Beans, Rice, and Chips + Salsa is still going to cost you well over $ 5 and won’t be touching the quality/flavor this place has, nor give you the enjoyment of sitting down listening to some authentic Mexican music in a cozy atmosphere.

******* live music anyone? ******* This place is a pearl floating in a sea of chain Tex Mex. Yesterday, I was able to partake in this lovely establishment. When you walk in, you’re greeted by a host that sits you near the two musicians playing soothing acoustic music. I planned on just sitting at the bar and getting a Margarita, but after smelling the fajitas, I ordered steak and chicken. The meat had the best flavor and was super tender. My Margarita of choice was called«the stripper Joe», a mixture a a traditional Margarita, house made sangria and refreshing mint. This place starts getting crowded around 7 so come early.. :)

I HIGHLYRECOMMENDTHISPLACE… This place is amazing… they have some of the best salsa i have ever tasted, their carnitas empanadas with chipotle crema on top are oh so good. For my main dish i had the Pollo yucateco which was incredibly delicious, it has an Ancho chile sauce the gives it just the right amount of heat and thw sweet potato fries are cooked just right. My boyfriend had veggie enchiladas(which i had to sample because he seemed to be enjoying them to much… lol) and they were awesome… unlike other restaurant where their veggie plates have no flavor these were full of flavor. We split a dessert called rollo de cajeta… OMG!!! I’ll come back just for that. Another great thing is that they have a full service bar… we had watermelon margarita and man was it good. Next time we will come for dessert n drinks only. I HIGHLYRECOMMENDTHISPLACE!!!

Finally! A delicious Mexican restaurant in South Arlington. Everything was super delicious. The chips and salsa featured roasted tomatoes and chile, the queso fundido had lots of goodies mixed in. The taco salad was beautifully plated and well seasoned. My only gripe was that the flour tortillas were store bought. If they would have been homemade it would have been the icing on the cake.

Awesome service, food was terrific! Our family of 6 enjoyed each different meal that was ordered. The salsa was good as was the queso. You get a free drink while they are waiting for their liquor license. The bar is a beautiful set up.
