Friendly customer service. I also enjoyed the food. Pastrami sandwich was on point. Also tried a bacon turkey avocado and was not disappointed. The avocado they serve is really fresh.

I have been coming here for years! This place hits the spot for lunch. I always get the avocado turkey sandwich which is delicious! It’s best to call your order in ahead of time because this place gets crowded fast! It’s not very big so you’ll sometimes see the line all the way to the door. So either get there early or not at rush hour lunch! The food however is worth the wait!!!

This was my first time eating here, the bread was very soft and fresh, the cheese has a good taste, most of the time you can’t taste the cheese in a sandwich, the vegges were also fresh and they added a good amount of avocado, the meat was fresh and good just wished there was a little more of it. I had the turkey avocado cheese sandwich.

I’m a sucker for this place. I dig the fresh bread, turkey, bacon, large sandwiches I get… I look forward to eating these subs. The décor in this place also gives me a warm feeling, the vintage décor and friendly employees may have something to do with that. Kudos to TJ’s.

Best subs ever been coming here since I was a little girl and never disappointed! My go to sub is the turkey and cheese on wheat with lettuce only with mustard and mayo! And a bag of hot Cheetos !

Truly fresh, quality bread, meats, cheeses and produce; sans the over-saturated, mass produced, over-chopped mush on bread that is offered across the street at the friendly neighborhood corporate sandwhich shop. Relevant portions of meat and cheese: real roast beef/turkey/pastrami, tomatoes that are sliced large enough to appreciate… This is simply an old fashioned sandwhich shop where you order clean, fresh food and move on with the tasks of the day. The service here is efficient and gracious. It is also one of the cleanest deli’s I have seen ever. I love deli’s. I have reviewed several others and as far as cleanliness TJ’s has remained so clean it’s almost sterile. It’s a deli, ambiance does not need to be a factor here. If you want ambiance and culinary adventure to your meal without leaving the parking lot, go to BellyBombz a few doors down. If you are just looking for a quick, simple, healthier alternative to a burger, and prefer a sandwhich without processed sub-quality cold cuts then TJ’s is one of the classic gems of the area. We live by Cerritos Mall and opt to go here over all the other sandwhich shop/deli’s in the area, purely for the quality of the ingredients.

If I could give no stars I would! The experience was this. They make your food without gloves while also working the register. And one of the two women making the sandwiches had«huge» cold sores on her mouth. I was disgusted.

We LOVE Tj’s! My husband and I always get the Hoagie, and my kids get the Chicken and Bacon sandwich. The bread is soft, and the quality of the ingredients is top notch. My husband has been coming here for 10+ years. Their staff is very friendly and always accommodating.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, probably since they opened. I absolutely love TJ’s. The sandwiches are tasty and the owner is super nice and friendly. This is the epitome of a hometown good quality small business. There are not enough places like this.

LOVE this place! They have the best sandwiches. I always place my order with NO changes; i.e.)extra mayo, meat, cheese. It’s always been good and i’ve been coming here since 1997, the owners are kind and they are quick with their orders. I always have the turkey, avocado and bacon sandwich. It cannot be duplicated and I haven’t discovered anywhere like this place

I used to go to a place called Js submarines in Bellflower and order their super sub. It was amazing. The owner sold the business and I haven’t had a sandwich as good in many years. After many recommendations to try TJ’s I finally did tonight. The sandwich is amazing. TJ’s Super Sub with avocado. Loaded with meat(roast beef turkey and ham), cheese and fresh crisp lettuce, onions, tomatoes and pepperoncinis. YUM! The owner was very accommodating, friendly and sweet. Found my new sandwich spot!

I work close by and decided to give this spot a shot since a coworker recommended it & I hate going to the subway thats also close by, but thats another review. Anyway, went in around 1140& there was a bit of a line but not too bad. Ordered a cold Mesquite Chicken Sub along with a bag of chips and a drink. There was a sign that said $ 10 minimum for debit/credit, but my total was about 8.90& they still charged and didnt make a fuss about it. Service was great, recieved my sandwich within less than 10 minutes since ordering it. I LOVED the sandwich. Probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve had and it is waaay better than Subways sandwiches & so much more neater too when wrapped. I will be coming back for more ! :)

Yum! This is a great little sandwich shop to grab lunch at. I have been twice now, and on both visits I was very happy with my food. — Cheap! Both times I have been my lunch was less than $ 8 for an Arizona green tea and a «small» sandwich — small is big enough! — Fast! First time I went in and ordered. They were slammed, but I didn’t wait more that 7 minutes for my sandwich. Today I called it in and it was ready when I got there about 10 minutes later. — Delicious! I love their super soft rolls and all of the ingredients they use are great. I have now had the turkey avocado and the hot roast beef, both times the sandwiches were dressed perfectly and had just the right amount of toppings. — Nice! The ladies that work here are super sweet and friendly, and they haven’t yet enforced the $ 10 minimum for credit card on me. So glad I work near here, it’s one of the best sandwich places I have been to.

A couple of days ago I wanted to get a simple sandwich for lunch so did a quick search on Unilocal and found Tj’s Submarines to be the one closest to office with good reviews so decided to give it a try. Tj’s Submarines is located in a small strip mall on Pioneer and Artesia just next door to Belly Bombz Kitchen. At the peak lunch hour the placed seemed pretty full which I took as a good sign. After perusing the menu I settled for a Turkey Avocado sub($ 7.39) and my friend asked for a chicken salad sub. Unfortunately they were out of chicken salad but they had mesquite chicken so he went for a small mesquite chicken sub($ 5.49). We had to pay cash as even though they do take cards there is a $ 10 minimum which is not reached with just a sandwich and a drink. After this there was a very reasonable wait of under 10 minutes to get our subs. My order was fine but it seemed that there was some confusion about my friend’s order and he was given a mesquite chicken salad instead of a sub, but he was fine with eating the salad so we did not make an issue of the mistake. The Turkey Avocado sub was a decent size, I think it is 10 inches but I’m not sure. It had a lot of lettuce and avocado, a decent amount of turkey and very little of anything else. I honestly can’t think about anything that I really liked about it or anything that I hated so it was a very OK type of sandwich deserving a passable three stars. The mesquite salad on the other hand was a very sad story. It was essentially just massive amounts of lettuce topped with four slices of tomatoes and a few pieces of tasteless chicken breast along with ranch dressing on the side. The ranch dressing was heavy and tasted really awful. It had a strong mayonnaise taste that the pepper tried to mask but failed miserably. This was literally one of the worst salads that I have tasted. My friend remarked that it would have been better if we had gone to Trader Joe’s and gotten one of their pre-packaged salads for half the cost and I felt his pain. Overall I was not impressed by Tj’s Submarines and may return to try some of their other sandwiches after I try some more sandwich shops but will stay away from their salads.
