In 2012, I wrote a top notch review and this was our dedicated Chinese restaurant. Unfortunately, I believe the place was either sold or has a new chef this past year. It has been disappointing every time we order there. The soups used to be rich and full of flavor, now it is watery and sub par. The Szechaun beef is a different recipe altogether and again, not at all what it was. The sauces to several of the dishes are weaker and average at best. Sadly, I can no longer enthusiastically endorse this restaurant.

I am from Atlanta, and I eat J’s Café every time I’m in Colorado. Great Sesame Chicken!

Used to be my favorite take out in this arsa, b u t over the last year the food has dramatically gone down hill. I kept ordering repeatedly knowing in the past I found it to be amazjng, however, now I receive over salty sauces, hard undercooked veggies, seems everything is done half asked, half guilty and very rushed. I was a regular customer, as in 3 or 4 times a month, and I refuse to ever order from here again. Whatever has changed has cost them my business

My mother and I have been going there for several years. When you walk in the family owned restaurant you have to remember that the nail salon is right next door, you get used to the smell. She got the Curry triple delight with white rice and hot tea while I got a meatball Phö with a strawberry boba. She said the tea was a green tea that was just right. The boba had a few ice chunks the were almost too big for the straw but it hit the spot nonetheless. Every time we go they are very sweet and cheerful, we’ve even gotten delivery a few times and they have never let us down. I love this cute little place and we will continue to go here for as long as we can.

This is one of our favorite Chinese delivery place. They have great prices and quick delivery. Their food is generally pretty good. Sometimes are better others.

So we didn’t eat the food here because I was just craving boba and for some unknown reason that’s the only place around here that I could find with boba. We walk in and it looks nice but as I sat waiting for our bobas… I got a strong smell that reminded me of a nail salon. Idk but I would like to eat my food without smelling the strong chemicals of nail products. Idk why it smelled that way considering there’s isn’t a salon next door but anywho. Our boba comes and it’s pretty small for $ 4 a drink. I was already disappointed with the lack of flavored but then we took a sip and it was horrid. The boba was unreasonably chewy and the drink itself was watered down and icey. I kinda feel like if you can’t get boba right, I don’t want to try your food! Sorry but not giving this place another chance.

So for some reason my previous review of this place was removed for violating Terms? Not sure how I did that since it was a 5-star review I stood behind for 3 years. I’ve loved and ordered from J’s almost weekly since 2011 or very early 2012. I’ve spent a ton of money there. But over the last several months the quality has gone dramatically downhill. The final straw was the last time I ordered. I used to love the rare steak phở but I cannot eat beef anymore so I ordered it with grilled chicken instead. They charged me $ 3 extra!!! Chicken is much cheaper than steak why are you charging me??? Not only that, the chicken wasn’t grilled and was so rubbery I couldn’t chew it. The broth was just off and had too much oil and floaties. The consistency isn’t there in the garnish. Sometimes you get green onion sometimes not. The basil is sometimes very wilted or crinkly. I ended up trashing my whole, $ 18 phở. Huge sadness J’s. Please re-evaluate and come back to the amazing, yummy, high quality, fresh place you were. Let me know when.

Review is for food. Not eat in experience. Food was good had and tasty. Eating in at night was a note. No one there but take out orders. Service was good and food came fast. For a simple dinning experience good. If you want more than it is not that.

Just went here for our first time, and very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was very clean, excellent service and the food was good and fresh, not soaked in the sauces, which is a huge plus! The have great lunch deals. We will go back!

Pretty good food usually get beef and broccoli, sesame chicken. The phở is actually pretty good but the one thing i dislike is the viet egg rolls, those things are nasty. Its like they put a piece of sausage in an egg roll. Definitely dont recommend getting those.

They were great about catering to my picky order! Dolish food! We had drunken noodles and pad Thai and enjoyed both!

Food is good, ambience is not, and I had to deduct a star for the intentionally obfuscating menu. Never quite sure what you’re paying for here.

Here for lunch. The service started out ok, I am sitting here waiting and waiting to pay for my horrid food. I ordered off the lunch menu. When I took a bite of my egg roll, the contents came out in one horrid molded together bite. Not freshly made at all. The spicy pork was a pile of pork and veggies drowned in a cloyingly sweet sauce. They had the nerve to serve it with a side of that bright pink sweet and sour sauce. Still waiting to pay… never again. Yuck

This is the best Asian restaurant I know of in the area. Arvada and Westminster are heavy on fast food, and most of the Asian restaurants are either Phở or $ 1 scoop places. J’s Café is of the«Asian fusion» variety, and it’s fantastic. I’ve ordered delivery from them before, but don’t generally bother to rate restaurants the first time or two.(I don’t tend to rate mediocre food, either. I have to be either excited or irate to even bother.) Anyway, last night J’s Café was so busy that I was unable to get through to them by phone, and both of their numbers kept ringing through to voice mail, which is what their phone does when they’re on other calls. So my adorable boyfriend drove down there to order and retrieve the food. I got the crab cheese wontons and beef skewers as appetizers, and the green curry, with shrimp added to it. I was amazed at the big slabs of beef on the skewers, and they were more tender and juicy than I’ve ever had anywhere. There were a half dozen large wontons in the single order, and I could taste the crab in them – an ingredient I suspect is left out at some restaurants. The green curry is fairly mild, but I don’t mind. The portions of everything are large enough to feed me through the rest of the weekend, even though I’ll be sharing a little of it.

This is the best Chinese food that I have found since moving to Arvada. We had up until recently frequented a different place, but this is much better. They also have a very wide variety including some Thai, Japanese, and Vietnamese. For our first delivery order we went with sesame chicken and some rare steak phở. I was very happy with both! It’s pretty rare to find a place where you can find good phở to bring home. All of the items that go in phở were present, including the raw meat! I was worried that they would just dump everything in leaving me with soggy noodles and gross meat… but everything was fresh on the side ready for me to add. I did need to add some extra things I have at home such as fish sauce and some extra hoisin… but NBD really. I’m interested to try their pad thai given the mixed reviews of it that are currently present. I feel like everyone has different taste when it comes to pad thai though… it’s kind of a hard thing to review. The prices were cheap/average, and the food was here in like 20 minutes. We will definitely be ordering again soon!!!

Portions are good size on lunch special. Sesame chicken good a little too sweet but good the beef broccoli was bland. Also ordered the pad Thai huge portion but couldn’t eat more than two bites. Tasted like lemon furniture polish. Also too sweet. Told them we didn’t like it but still was charged. Which was ok can’t like everything but kind of hoped they wouldn’t charge us. Won’t be back

Very pleasantly surprised! I am from New York City so I was nervous to try Chinese food out here. I got the veggie chow fun. It was delicious. Also, it included all normal looking veggies as opposed to some of the unidentifiable ones that might appear in some Chinese restaurants. One more thing, the portions are huge. My dish could have easily fed 2 – 3 people. I will be having the leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Ok, so when you pull up you are immediately turned off because it is in a strip mall but make sure you go in! The service was great! The mango boba was filled with lots of «beads» and so refreshing and delicious! I ordered the orange chicken and it was good, little sweet but good nonetheless! Order the crab cheese wontons to start, they were hot and creamy crab heaven!

I was craving some Asian food & picked J’s Café off of Unilocal because it had 4−½ stars. I also mistook it for another strip mall Asian place nearby on Federal, where a previous visit proved most tasty & convenient for a meeting halfway between Denver & Boulder. The fried dumplings were a promising sign, but regrettably ended up being the best part of the meal. These potstickers had a mystery meat quality to them, but the dipping sauce was spiced up to be much more delicious than usual, leaving me well appetized and hopeful the rest of our order would be a cut above the norm. Downhill it went from there… The chow fun was bland and unsatisfying. And the orange beef was so sweet it was practically inedible, not at all spicy as indicated on the menu. Be advised J’s has no liquor license. No beer with our Chinese dinner was disappointing. Most of J’s business appears to be take-out, so I’m probably in the minority of their customers with respect to requiring beer. The portions were big, so maybe other reviewers consider J’s a good value for their price. Any place rated with 4−½ stars should be worth driving out of my way, but the experience here left me wanting for more than cheap mediocre stuffing.
