Cool local spot with decent food; however, I will say that the food preparation is sometimes rushed, compromising the food. High turnover due to big crowds makes the food a little less savory every time I go to Toast. I hope to see a little more care in the food prep in the future. Thanks Toast!

Came in on Valentine’s Day for brunch. I had the Irish Eggs Benedict and my girlfriend had the California Scramble, both of which were delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive. And in response to another review, yes, there was a wait(it was a holiday) and yes it was cold out(it’s February). I’m not sure how either of those things, or the fact that the it was too crowded to wait inside, is Toast’s fault.

You know what screw it, I’m giving this place 5 stars. And I’ll tell you why. I’ve been to quite a few diners and what this place offers, diners don’t. What it has is great quality food, good portions and healthy alternatives. I don’t feel guilty or sluggish after eating breakfast here. Don’t get me wrong though, their French toast sounds very appealing, but it’s like this place makes eating healthy enjoyable. My go-to meal? The California scramble. It’s eggs, chopped avocados, Monterrey jack cheese, and tomatoes. Sour cream and salsa on the side, but I skip the sour cream. I add some hot sauce to it and I’m set. If you’re looking for your typical diner with large portions, cheap prices and grease covered plates. Don’t bother going here. You’re going to pay a little more than what you may think you want to but it’ll be worth it and what else would you expect when you go to the tourist area of Asbury Park?

Popped in on a Monday around noon and was seated right away which is always a plus! I do dislike shared back to back booth seats that aren’t sturdy. Really sucks when the other person seems to be making sudden ninja moves every few minutes. A good variety of breakfast and lunch items on the menu and daily specials. Place is clean, tidy and welcoming. Food was a bit slow coming out. I ordered a side of fries that were cold but my French onion soup was piping hot and good. I do like Gouda cheese on top but you very rarely get it anymore so swiss is an okay substitute. The avocado bacon chicken sandwich was good and it came with sweet potato fries. Coffee was tasty, had to ask for a refill but all in all, a good meal. Nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about either. Pretty average.

I had brunch here on Black Friday. Such a cute spot. I really enjoyed their homemade corned beef hash(Sundays on the Farm). It’s a big portion so come hungry. We also shared a short stack of the red velvet pancakes. Yum… especially topped with the cream cheese icing. It was super sweet, so sharing it was definitely the smart way to go.

Heard this was a good place, so phoned Sunday morning at 10:00 am ish. Me: good morning, are you currently operating on a wait? Voice on other end of phone: Yes, we are but we will not give you an approximation of how long unless you show up in person. We only give that information face to face. Me: Click. The end.

Excellent breakfast spot. During the week there is no crowd so go then. I ordered the special Soup potato bacon with Brie and the huevos rancheros and both were very good. The service is a little off had to ask twice for a few things but overall friendly. The food is definitely why you are here and could have gotten 5 stars but the portion/price is a little imbalanced $ 8.95 for my rancheros but no meat or toast? Total was $ 35 for 2 people before tip.

Let’s just say«I’m a diner kind of gal». Toast is a fine option for breakfast in Asbury Park. But they have a bit more potential to be a great option for breakfast on Asbury Park. First off, it’s a bit pricey for the quality of the food. It’s one of those«no substitutes» kind of place. Want fruit instead of hash browns, a $ 1 there. Egg whites, $ 2 here. The other issue is that I’ve never been to a breakfast place that doesn’t have a meat option with eggs. Rather it’s $ 3.50 for a side of bacon which is a whopping 3 slices. Second off, the waiter was really nice. However, it was slow and they don’t give you water unless you ask which is frustrating when flagging down a waiter is difficult. Aside from the price for the quality, Toast is pretty good. It has a nice look to it and I am a sucker for mason jar cups, which they have! Would I come here again? Maybe if I wasn’t paying. But $ 15 for an egg white«scrambler» with a salad instead of toast or hash browns is not so worthwhile in my book.

This was a great find in Asbury park. The french toast are delicious and I have to admit they have good coffee. Great environment, and it gets packed weekends for breakfast. 4 stars because service was just Ok.
