Traditional sushi. Friendly staff. Clean restaurant. What more can you ask for? This place has become a weekly night out. Stick to the traditional nigiri or maki sushi and enjoy!

Samurai sushi is definitely the best sushi place in Ashburn! The staff is friendly and accommodating! My friends and I go almost every Thursday and we have the same waitress who gets our table and waters ready as we are walking through the door! My personal favorites are the salmon cream, volcano and salmon avocado rolls. Everything is always fresh and super tasty!

Sushi is definitely good, however service and time to take out is very poor. Disappointing because we would go more often, but turnaround time is the worse I have experienced

Average sushi with average prices. I’ve had better, I’ve had worse. Sushi Noshi is much better if you want dine-in experience, and Mr. Sushi & Mrs. Roll is the best for the value.

Came here for lunch the other day and enjoyed it. It is not the best sushi restaurant in the area, but the food was good and I had no complaints. We ordered a sashimi lunch special, Samurai roll special, and a Vegas roll. Both entrees came with miso soup and salad with the sesame dressing, which is standard. The sashimi lunch special(essentially bento box lunch) came with a good amount of food; the portions of salmon, tuna, and red snapper was on the smaller side but that is expected. Samurai roll special was an entrée with a Samurai roll and a few pieces of nigiri; it was disappointing to get a piece of kani(crab stick), but the Samurai roll was good. The Vegas roll okay, it was not as full of ingredients as other places put inside and could have been fried a few more seconds for more crunch. Overall the service was good, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, and the food not bad. Definitely recommend for lunch or casual sushi fans. For more serious sushi lovers, I would recommend a trek out to McLean/DC.

Not bad. not great. A friend who reccod this place said it’s «above average, not great». I think that’s a perfect way to describe it. This spot takes 3rd place for sushi in the area. And 4th place overall in northern va. My top 4 list is : 1st — Tachibana — mclean(hands down!) 2nd — East Gate Asian — south riding 3rd — sushi Noshi — ashburn 4th — samurai. Don’t get me wrong… if go again if I was in the area. But I could be easier motivated to go to either of the others in the list — espesh Tachi!

This may be my «new-new“sushi spot in Ashburn!!! I mean this plaza already has a lot of my favorite eating spots but now I can add sushi to the radar! Me and the fam went to try this spot on my husband’s birthday. Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by the nice hostess and chef, and then seated. We went during lunch time and they were not busy but I did notice there was only one hostess/waitress. Even though she was the only one, our service was great. This place is really small so I would not suggest large groups. Due to the occasion I wish the inside was nicer. But hey we were there for food not atmosphere! Ok on to the food! It was my husband’s birthday, so we decided to try a lot of items on the sushi menu and I can’t quite remember the name of each roll. We did try a lot of speciality rolls and each one was spectacular! 1.baltimore Roll –my family’s favorite! Hands down this roll was amazing and it won our hearts. It was so good I ordered more to go! 2. Miso soup– was delicious! 3. Philadelphia roll– was great as well! I really wish I could remember the names of the other rolls because they were soO good(but I did take a photo). I even tried a raw sushi roll my husband ordered and it was good as well(note: I never eat raw rolls). Everything here tasted great and I am normally upset with how much my sushi tabs are but I was so pleased with everything, it didn’t phase me at all! My only suggestion to this place is to have some renovations done because they have an outstanding menu and a updated atmosphere would be a bonus!

The sushi was good and maybe above average. Seems like a good place for takeout but not date night. The ambiance isn’t great and the dining room was in need of updating. Looked good for kids though– they had a stack of scrap paper and pens for«future artists» which was sweet. The lunch takeout I ordered was ready Fast too.

One of the best Sushi spots in the area. I normally go for the lunchbox which comes in a huge portion of tempura, sashimi, salmon teriyaki(substituted for chicken), veg wonton, edamame, soup and salad all for under 12 bucks! The sashimi is good quality and well maintained. Everything is made to order and you can absolutely taste the pride used. Breakdown in terms of stars: Service — Excellent service — waitress checked on drinks constantly and refilled my tea without me asking. Food — as stated above, I love it. I make a habit of coming here every weekend just for the lunch box. Atmosphere — very clean, not crowded, friendly and welcoming. Location — this is the only thing, it is in the heart of Ashburn which is not saying much. Ashburn is removed from most of the ‘happening’ areas in N.VA. Now that I live in Centreville driving to this place kinda sucks. I still do it though! Family Friendly — staff is great with kids, environment is welcoming. Nothing loud or annoying. Kids love to spend time here with me! Overall with the exception of the drive, I love this place. It is a goto spot, and when compared to other sushi places in the area, this one floats to the top.

Terrible service. Terrible sushi. Unfortunately this will not be our go to sushi place in Ashburn. Had the shrimp dumpling and tasted bland, vegetable dumpling was inedible. Do not order the Volcano Roll. Boston, Crunch and Dragon Roll were pretty good. Certainly not 4 stars worthy… makes me wonder about some of these reviews!

I’ve been to Samurai twice now, and love it. LOVEIT! Pretty much everything is fantastic. The Shumai soup is hands down the perfect way to start the meal. It’s light, but has a fantastic flavor that really sets the mood. The Dragon and Red Dragon rolls are easily my favorite(hell, pretty much anything unagi is right up my palette). Also props to the spicy Ahi tuna. It’s perfectly seasoned and basically melts in your mouth. You know sushi’s good when you take a bite, and feel your body relax instantly. Service is pretty good, but can be a tad slow if you happen to arrive at the same time as another group. Not a big deal. It’s worth the wait and the quality is definitely top notch. Their menu has a wide variety of options including classic teriyaki and katsudon dishes for those who may find sushi less than palatable(that’s fine, more sushi for me!).

Three words: Las Vegas Roll They named it that because that thing is MONEY. I order one of those just for myself because I refuse to share it with anyone, that is how good it is! All of the other sushi is good, but none of it stands out like that one roll. The other winner here is the sesame dressing for their salads. It’s delicious!(and just so you know, they sell it to the public!) The down side is that it can be a little bit pricey, but it’s great for a splurge with friends every once in a while.
