I got my lip pierced back in 2007 and it immediately got infected. I tried calling and stopping by her shop but was met with no response from her so we had to take matters into our own hands. My dad had to cut off the ring with wire cutters. Because of this experience I have thought I was allergic to being pierced but I just got my nose done and it is healing perfectly and the woman who did it says that there should not have been any reason I should have had to take out my piercing. Had it been done properly I should have been happy with my lip ring but instead it turned my life miserable.

Mori was awesome! She did an absolutely amazing job on my black and gray breast cancer ribbon with 2 initials on each side on my upper right chest. She is a great artist with an awesome touch. She was very accommodating on scheduling and the whole experience went great, out of her studio in less than a half hour with what appears to be hours of work done! Very pleased with her services.

All I needed was a new stud for my newly pierced nose so I didn’t have to drive back up to Brookings. This place had good reviews so I went there.!The replacement was more than what I paid when I had it pierced! She was very bossy, and over priced. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all!

I have received 7 tats from Mori over the course of about 8 years, and am so grateful and amazed by her excellent work and presence. When I receive a tattoo, it is a conscious choice to bare witness to a spiritual transformation, and Mori’s grounded energy and precise attention to detail brings to the experience a depth and joy that I am honored to share with anyone who asks ‘where did you get that tat?’. I highly recommend Mori Ink for anyone seeking a personalized, profound journey in a gorgeous studio, beyond anything you will find in the average multi-practice tat shop.

Horrific. Rude, unprofessional, sloppy. I believe her words regarding my botched lopsided tattoo were«I’m not a god». No one is expecting you to be, but we do expect you to do quality tattoos when you are yielding a tattoo gun to people’s skin. This is permanent, forever. Absolutely atrocious, if you care about your body, your artwork don’t let Mori come anywhere near you with a needle… and to add insult to injury, the crap she tries to sell you to heal your tattoo is awful and painful, not only is my tattoo horrific but infected as well from whatever vodoo stuff she gave me. Luckily she has a «light hand» as she brags, so maybe laser treatment will be able to get out this awful job.

Daughter got her ears pierced here(4th, 5th, 6th holes). Knowledgeable, friendly, daughter says didn’t hurt. She got excellent post procedure instructionsv on how to care for her piercings. It is a studio attached to her home, so don’t be afraid to walk up to the door and come in. Door is on side of house and well marked. I was so impressed with Mori’s sketch book I decided to finally get the tattoo I always wanted. For 9 years I have looked for an artist who shared my asthetic. I went to several places in Seattle but never found a good fit. She worked with me until we got the design just the way I wanted. She was patient and kind. I couldn’t be more happy with the results. Again, she was very thorough with her post-procedure instructions. As a nurse practitioner I was glad to see she had an autoclave for sterilizing her equipment and that she used new needles on each person. She carefully inspected each needle before use using a jeweler eyepiece. I would highly recommend Mori.

Mori met with me to draw original art for a phoenix tattoo. The tattoo was very meaningful to me to recognize the passing of a dear friend. I was a first timer and very nervous. She put me at ease and the art she created was exactly what I was envisioning. When getting the tattoo she was quick and precise and created a relaxing atmosphere. The tattoo is beautiful. Not usually an emotional person but when I saw it, it brought tears to my eyes. I cannot recommend Mori enough.

I went to Mori Ink to get my tragus pierced. At first, I thought everything was great. Mori was really nice and the piercing itself didn’t take long, even though she did not let me choose the type of jewelry I wanted, only the gage of a ring that was gun metal in color. Afterwards, she told me to use this stuff call Nu Tattoo on my piercing advised me not to do sea salt soaks. For anyone who gets piercings regularly, sea salt soaks are the number one anti-infection tool for piercings considering its gentle and completely natural. I went ahead and followed her advise, big mistake! Within two weeks of getting my piercing, I had a huge bump on both sides of the piercing site. After about a month of these bumps, I began doing sea salt soaks, which allowed the infection to break out(I’ll spare you the details) but my ear began getting a sickly aching feeling. Finally, back home in Portland, I went to a local piercer, Adorn West in Beaverton. After a strict regimen, Ben at Adorn(who’s awesome) was able to switch the jewelry to a really cute black opal high-grade titanium stud. Upon doing this, it was discovered that Mori used a really cheap piece of metal jewelry and even bent it awkward within my ear, not only was the combination causing an infection and irritation, but it took major work with metal clamps to actually fight the ring out of my ear. Once that cheap ring was out, my ear felt instantly better. Do not go to Mori Ink for piercings, I don’t know about her tattoo work, but jewelry is not her business.

I stayed in Ashland, OR for about 2 ½ weeks for a shoemaking course, and during that time I met Mori of Mori Ink. This is a terrific place to get a tattoo. I have been to several shops and the atmosphere was not«hardcore.» Mori was featured in the local paper; that is how I learned about her. She is warm, friendly, professional, and affordable. I saw her twice, I got mirror image tattoos on my foot of an abstract shoe. When I return next summer, I will surely be seeing her again.
