Northwest Pizza and Pasta Co

First time ordering this pizza and it was so-​so.
Good things: Customer service was great, very polite on the phone. Wait time was exactly what we were told and delivery driver was friendly. Probably the ONLY pizza joint that offers a TUB-​O RANCH, which was delicious, good ranch is a very important thing.
Not so good things: Both pizzas were over cooked and a little on the limp side. I was SO excited for the Oregonzola pizza being a cheese lover, but all of the cheese was overcooked and you couldn’t taste the bacon. For both pizzas and sides of ranch it was spendy (around $ 70).

NW Pizza, I will not miss your underwhelming service. I have had more bad experiences at this restaurant, from rude employees to my food being under and over cooked at times, than any other restaurant I ever frequented.
The last experience I had took the cake. I ordered food, they told me 20 minutes, in 20 minutes I walked through the door and they said «it’s not done yet, 5 minutes» and they didn’t hand me my food for 20 more minutes. I already paid or I would have just left.
In the past I’ve called for delivery and they told me it would be at least an hour (???) and again opted to pick up and the timing was all off and had to wait. They are obviously not good with time management or prioritizing orders.
They act weird (huffy) when you ask for the student discount and lets all be honest– no one wants that many jo-​jos– EVER. A half order is like a full 12″ pizza box full and they always get tossed. It’s wasteful. I ate with a group of 10 at this place once, we ordered an order of jo-​jos and didn’t even finish half. Waste!

I enjoyed the lunch special here at northwest pizza. For 7.30 $ including tax, you get a personal with two toppings of your choice and a fresh and very good salad. I have a big appetite and i hadn’t ate until noon and this meal for sure satisfied my appetite .
As i said in the first review, the quality of the cheese and sauce along with the perfect crust texture shows the importance of ingredients towards the food here. The salad further proved that as it was very nice and fresh.
They have billiards to play here, plenty of tvs, beer on tap and plenty of space so it doesn’t feel as crowded as the other places that show sports events.
Definitely check out this place for the lunch special as you can make an infinite amount of pizza combinations with the two topping choices.

Ordered delivery when I stayed at a nearby motel and was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. Best pizza I’ve had recently — very tasty and great thin crust! Good selection of toppings. Reasonably priced. Delivery took a few minutes longer than time quoted, but pizza was still hot when it arrived.

The Jojos are a must! This is a great place to watch a game. Good beer and pizza too.

Fantastic food, better service! The cook (maybe owner?) Came out as soon as we were served our water, and gave our 2 girls about 10 quarters each for the arcade games. We went and played a bit, and before we knew it, our food was ready. The kids pizzas came in a star shape, with a smile. Nice selection of beers on tap. Fast! Friendly! Delicious!

Visiting from Portland. Saturday night, 7 ish. Staying at a central, well known location in Ashland. Had to call 5 times before they answered. Ordered a single pizza directly from menu, as is. They said it would be delivered in an hour, took nearly 2 and they had to call back because they couldn’t find the hotel on their map. Delivery guy complaining to me that he had 5 pizzas in his car to deliver. Barely civil. Even so, tipped $ 5+ on a $ 19 pizza. Apparently «Thank You» not in his vocabulary. The pizza was very underwhelming. It was a three topping pizza; chicken, bacon and artichoke and they were so cheap with the toppings that not every piece even had a topping ingredient on it.

We stopped in today in person to try this place for lunch and to give it a second chance. I got the lunch special, which was a great deal. For 5.95 plus tax, you get a personal pizza and a salad. The pizza was way better than the one I had here last time. The 5.95 gets you two toppings and a base/​cheeses of your choice. I picked garlic olive oil base, white cheeses, basil, and green peppers. The toppings were generous and arranged nicely. The crust was crispy and fresh tasting. I was very satisfied with my meal.
The service was also very friendly and the establishment clean. Subjectively speaking I am not a huge fan of large TVs around when I’m eating, but I know this is standard for pizza places. Hence why a lot us simply order delivery. There were also some pin ball machines, which is always cool.
Also, KIDS EAT FREE M-​TH during their Happy Hour! Can’t beat that.

Every time I have gone to this place it was always delicious. The place was always clean even when busy. Wish it delivered out side of Ashland!

Awesome food, love the blue cheese wedge salad and Jo’s! Fun and comfortable atmosphere to relax in.

Love this place! Fun, family friendly. Tasty food, lots of choices. A great place to hang out. Affordable. Highly recommend — we go here every time we visit our kid at SOU.

We never write reviews, but the owner was so outstandingly solicitous with our nut-​allergic son and one of our dairy-​averse adults that we felt compelled to write this one. The jojo fries were the best we’ve had. The thin crust pizza was exactly what we were looking for in an old school northwest pizza parlor pizza. The pinball machines totally satisfied. We’re so glad we stopped in!

This place rocks! Much more than a pizza joint, but the pizza is excellent, you have your choice of thin or thick crust or Stromboli, red sauce or white sauce and just about any topping you can imagine, most are local sourced. The salad choices are inventive and the serving sizes are plentiful for the entrée sizes, again much is local and very fresh. The burgers are outstanding and come with the choice of regular fries or very delicious Jo-Jo’s. The beer and wine selection is average size but very select and anybody should be able to find a beverage to suit their taste. To top it off service is stellar and the owner is one of the nicest persons you will ever meet who goes the extra yard in supporting local sports. I will be back whenever I’m in Ashland.

Good solid pizza. Had it three times, always delivered. The service is always fast and polite. Haven’t tried eating at the restaurant itself. But definitely a fine takeout option.

I understand the struggle of keeping a small business alive. However, if I am not ordering take out from Northwest and decide to eat in, there is consistently ONE Waitress working the entire dining space. Warriors final game with I count 50 people. ONE waitress. Last time I was here same thing with the owner replying when queried about the lack of wait staff, «that’s what she gets paid for.» Gotta up your game Northwest.

We haven’t eaten in yet but have ordered delivery. Pizza the first time was awesome! The last two times it has been pretty near burnt and tonight it took an hour and fifteen minutes to reach us when they said 30 – 40 minutes. And then they got in their groove, it’s been wonderful the pizza is awesome and the extras are fabulous!

Thanks for the reply Morgan… I did try calling you 5 times this last week and only got your voicemail… Although I appreciate the offer of the free meal, that’s not why I was calling you… I just wanted to clear the air about our first visit to your restaurant… And only wanted to give you a little feedback that I wouldn’t necessarily post on a website like Unilocal…
Everything about the experience was tolerable and even forgivable and worthy of making a second trip to your restaurant (what can I say, I’m a pretty easy going guy and don’t like to see local businesses suffer because of only one bad experience)… The part that I can’t get over is the guy who brought out our pizza… The way he didn’t acknowledged us as customers or even people as he walked out looking pissed off, and even as we told him ‘thank you’ he just put our pizza down and walked away not saying one thing to us or even looking at us… Me and my girl felt disrespected and even caught off guard by the whole thing… Maybe the guy is normally a great dude, but how would we know being our first time in your restaraunt, right? Everything your cashier did to make a bad situation a positive experience, that guy ruined in an instance… Obviously not something we want to or should have to deal with when we visit anyones restaurant, let alone one 15 – 20 miles away (passing up plenty other pizza joints on the way)…
You seem like you care, and I applaud you for staying on top of Unilocal,both good and bad… But you still have some wrinkles to roll out at Northwest pizza (at the very least answering your phone, lol)… Good luck in the future Morgan!

We had an awsome meal. The salads are incredably good and the pizza is to die for. VERY HIGHLY RECOMENDED! THE atmosphere is causal and the service is spot on.

I’m giving it another star because the new owner, Morgan, has outdone himself He has replaced the teddy bear pizza with a star-​shaped pizza for kids– Great!
This place went from dive to a happening place with crowded tables and great food. The new salads look delicious, the hot wings are damn spicy and the pizza has improved greatly. This place is awesome now and my kids LOVE coming here too.
