I am a disabled senior who bought a pizza from Papa Murphy’s using a coupon. The pizza was to be my lunch for the next couple days as I do not get very much money per month for expenditures. However, after taking a bite and finding a hair I was extremely put off and nauseated and threw it away. I decided to call and let them know of the fact and see if there was anything they could do to try and remedy the situation. A female employee apologized and offered a refund, she was very polite and professional and took my number, I told her that my daughter would have to pick it up since I am disabled and cannot drive. Within five minutes of hanging up, a male named Kip who said he was the owner called me back he said that I had to bring the evidence of the hair and pizza back to the location for proof, his voice was raised and had a very rude tone. I tried to explain that I was disabled and couldn’t drive, his demeanor escalated throughout the conversation and accused me of merely trying to get back my $ 8 I spent on the pizza. When I commented about his rudeness as a person who is in public relations, he yelled back that now I was accusing him and calling him names! I asked his name, he only said Kip and wouldn’t give me his last name, I don’t blame him for not fully disclosing his name because his reaction was shameful, only that he was the owner. I do not understand how someone could treat someone like this, who is not only a paying customer, but an elderly disabled person. I find it very saddening that this took place as I like their pizza, but because of the insincerity and outright rudeness of Kip, I will not be purchasing anymore from that location.

Papa Murphy’s is what it is and I’ll tell you what it is… fresh. I worked there for years. I do not work there any longer and this is an unbiased review. Their dough is never old as one reviewer said. They make it fresh, in the Hobart, every single day. They chop the vegetables fresh every single day. There is no freezer in the store, only a walk in cooler so that should tell you something in itself. This is also not your typical chain. It is run by a local business owner who spends 6 days a week working in the store and never hesitates to donate to local charities and schools. My favorite is the chicken bacon artichoke delite. If you want fresh great tasting pizza that you can cook on your own, Papa Murphys is the place to go.

I usually have a good experience with pizza from here but the last time I picked up a pizza and coked it the crust tasted old. when the doe is old it looks fine but when you cook it it tastes old.

Yay for lower calories… Recently I put myself on a diet, of course pizza(my favorite food) doesn’t fit into the«diet» category, or does it??? As it turns out Papa Murphy’s has all of their nutritional information online and readily accessible. Even more important was the fact that I could easily eat two slices of one of the«deLITE» pizzas and stay well within my calorie goal. Diet + Papa Murphy’s = PIZZA for ME!!!
