Fun atmosphere, close to the nearby park, pizza by the slice as well as whole. Mediterranean Caesar salad was wonderful!

BESTPLACEINTOWN! Amazing prices, spot on menu, good music and vibe, fresh produce! My staple is the Mediterranean Caesar salad with chicken. It is so yummy and huge for the price! Definitely my favorite place to go to during the week when I need a quick lunch or dinner

YUMMMMMM!!! I saw Martollis Pizza next to Market of Choice and called in take out. The other reviewers are right. It was so good! Great crust and sauce as well as toppings. I even eat the crust part. I wasnt greasy or overly garlicy like a lot of places. We ordered the large Combination. I will be back for sure.

Absolutely fantastic! Hard to find pizza this good even in San Francisco. I love to find a good thin crust classic pizza, and this fit the bill. Really inexpensive, and casual vibe. Will definitely return!

Good pizza. I honestly do not have a favorite when it comes to local pizza. They all have their pluses and minuses– yet none really compare to pdx pizza. I’ve learned to grade on a local curve. What I like about this place is the lunch special that comes with a super fresh salad. Never seen a dull or limp green, here. Good pizza might be easy, but salad is not. This is the spot that nails that aspect better than their competitors.

Excellent pizza, delicious salad(although greens could’ve been a little crisper), great service, cool vibe.

4 ½ stars for Martolli’s! Pretty impressed with the pizza seen in Ashland these days… I’ll admit, I’ve avoided Martolli’s for a long time… Mostly because of its location, as that area is hit and miss where the quality or experience doesn’t always match the prices… They’re not all like that, and Matolli’s is a perfect example of «we hook everyone up, locals and tourists alike» kind of place I dig… The ambiance is laid back with 60 – 70’s rock playing in the background as you gaze upon the walls covered in the same era of memorabilia and murals as the music you’re listening to… As you read over the menu you notice it isn’t break the bank pricing, but you also see a pretty impressive lineup! First time here, we had a large garden salad to share, with ranch for her and balsamic vinaigrette for me… The salad was incredibly fresh and crisp… The dressings were both up to par… Then we shared a piece of their famous pepperoni by the slice… How I usually judge pizza is by the crust… Martolli’s makes a dang good crust… Thinner with a little crispness on the edges… A great flavor and soft interior to the crust completes a near perfect crust! The cheese and extra large pepperoni were both on point and worked well with the crust… We also shared a calzone… Mushroom and housemade sausage were both mouth watering pleasing… The calzone was loaded with cheese, both mozz and ricotta, ooey gooey goodness! I’m happy to report, Martolli’s kicks a$$! I can’t wait to go back and get a full pie! ***Eat Local***

We always get delivery(or recently take out as they currently don’t offer delivery :( Consistently good pizza. Delivery persons are always on time and friendly. Our favorites so far are the Wild Mushroom pizza, the Big Ben, and the Porky Pine. One good thing about the sudden lack of delivery service is this has forced us to come inside to pick up our pizza and drink the delicious beer they offer while we wait for our pies. It’s a tad more inconvenient but what are you going to do when you need good pizza guaranteed?

Hands down the BEST gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. My family and I were down for a couple days from Portland just to hang out and see the sights. We stumbled upon this little pizzeria and could smell it from across the street :) Very high quality ingredients, friendly staff, and big selection of menu options. Even the salad was amazing! I highly highly highly recommend this spot for an amazing lunch!

Living in downtown Ashland, one of my favorite casual places to swing through is Martolli’s near the plaza. Service has always been impeccable — super friendly and helpful. I do much prefer this locale than the one near Market of Choice. Pizza by the slice is reasonable — a cheese slice for $ 2.50, pepperoni — $ 3.00 and veggie or combo slices are $ 3.50 each. I tend to get a cheese slice and a veggie slice, whatever the daily special happens to be(one of my favorites — artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, pesto, kalamata olives and lots of fresh garlic). When ordering whole pies to go, the Ariel is delicious(pesto, spinach, mozzarella, tomatoes, caramelized onions, wild mushrooms and feta cheese) and the El Greco with added marinara is a favorite of mine(garlic-olive oil base, mozzarella, red onions, roma tomatoes, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, feta cheese, topped with oregano). I like to order our whole pizzas double cut, which they’re more than happy to do. You roughly get 16 slices instead of 8, which tends to work better for sharing!

We decided to have lunch at Martolli’s Hand Tossed Pizza based on the Unilocal reviews. The pizza gods were smiling on us that day, as we found a parking space pretty much right in front of the establishment. When we walked in and I saw pizza slices for sale, I became a little concerned. I was expecting a sit-down pizza restaurant with a waiter/waitress. Nope, you order at the front, pay, they give you a number to display at the table, and the staff brings out your food. I liked all the colorful framed posters from old rock concerts on the side wall. We started with the baked herb focaccia bread, which was much bigger than I expected. It was about the size of a large pizza, and it was tasty Then I had the Big Ben pizza: tomato sauce, mozzarella, provolone, wild mushrooms, house Italian sausage, fresh garlic & fresh basil. The pizza was excellent! I could easily taste the basil and garlic. Clearly this was a very popular place. People continued to stream in and out as we were eating. But I noticed that most of the customers ordered their food to go, and it seemed like slices were preferred over whole pies. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

For a slice… heaven. I was traveling with my brother in law and his family. He has 4 kids, so we can’t just walk into any restaurant for lunch on a holiday weekend. I called ahead if they could accommodate and they promised they could. Fortunately they did. A few minutes later and that this would have much different flavor. Even though my meal was comped by my brother in law, it was such a great value. And the slices were sizable even for my appetite. The sauce had the right balance and the crust was that perfect amount of crispy smoky, chewy. I don’t know about their other pizzas, I’m just rating this as a place to go in and get a quick slice. My 7 year old nephew says, «This is the second best pizza I’ve ever had.» «Second to what?» I inquired. «Little Caesars.» I don’t know if this cheapens Martollis or gives extra street cred to Little Caesars, but I’d hold second best as high esteem.

Thanks for redeeming my faith in Ashland food, martolli’s hand tossed pizzas. The by the slices are a good size, and the cheese is only $ 2.50 which makes me a little happy. The pizza is good for the price and ashland. As a tip, get there a little earlier the lines are pretty long. It’s nice to know I won’t be starving on this trip.

The best pizza in Ashland. Occasionally they’ve put out a bad slice or pie, but 99% of the time they’re in the money. Slices to go are typically good, and quick. Good selection of rotating drafts on tap. Now they deliver, but yet to try that… The locations and hours are accommodating. This place is here to stay. Oh, and Monday nights downtown, two old guys wail and strum guitars in a melancholic manner.

Holy Schmoly! Amazingness in a box! Came here during our down time from our field work in Ashland. Being lactose intolerant and away from civilization(we were camping!) I worried about eating ANY dairy products. Pizza just sounds amazing when you have been on the road for over a week! Low and behold… Martolli’s had VEGANCHEESE! SCORE! Not the cheapest pizza, but for the quality of ingredients and their attention to making full pies — its defo worth every penny! Martolli’s has a great selection of already made slices and of course customized orders with hella ingredients to choose from! Oh not to mention that they have BEERS! OMG, thinking about it while writing this review makes me drool! I miss Martolli’s! If I ever venture back south to Ashland again, you can sure bet that this will be one of my stops!

By far my favorite pizza place in town!!! It is located centrally downtown & It has everything I love about a great pizza place. The music here is awesome and sometimes they have live music! Being that there’s six or something like that other pizza places in town this is the one that holds it down consistently. There’s just so many pluses to this wonderful place! The music, beer, art, atmosphere, friendly employees & owner and of course amazing pizza, grinders & salads! They also just opened another location on the other side of town which I’ve eaten at & it’s right on par with the quality and taste of the downtown establishment. If your a lover of pizza places this wonderful establishment is must!
