Waffle House

First time in the south and we decided to pull over and get some waffles and OMG. The GF and I usually share a plate but today we ordered a second helping of waffles and chicken. On of the best meals we’ve had on our 5000 mile road trip from CA. Also, Jessica was awesome! Talked to her about food, traveling she helped us pick our food. Exactly the kind of lady you want to see for breakfast.

Ordered Steak and Eggs; pleasantly surprised. Be sure to order rare. Grits are buttery but yummy.

How horrible! I’ll give a two star review because coffee was good and waffle was thin and edible.
I have been to many WH in my life and I know what to expect, but…
Eggs were a disaster, sent back twice! Dude, how can you mess up eggs. Over hard, break the yolk! Hash browns tasted funny
Service by Maekela was meh, not friendly for sure.
Next time, I will skip this location. Ugh.

Horrible experience me and my friends went to get a bite breakfast at night and they atleast mixed up all of are orders about 2 times and didn’t give us what we asked for !!! And then over charging for food we didn’t get like for realls I mean I would understand if it was jammed pack with people but it wasn’t less then 20 people !!!

I ordered the Apple crumble waffle, it was OK but it could’ve been better. My service was great!

This is the worst Waffle House I’ve ever been to.
The place was crammed full of people, and it was mostly 1 – 2 people in the large booths, while parties of 4 and 5 were shoved into tiny booths. This location did not feature the ‘please reserve booths for large groups’ signs and it greatly impacted our experience.
With 4 people crammed into a 2 person booth, we ordered our food.
After almost 30 minutes they finally decided to tell us they didn’t have the food to fill two of the orders. Then 20 mins later, they managed to find a few frozen biscuits to slap on a plate with old gravy and serve us.
We were overcharged, charged for items that weren’t given to us, and the food was terrible.

This was my first time at this place. There are no Waffle House near my house. My cousin told me the place was amazing. As we drove up to the building all I could think was «This place is supposed to be better then iHOP. The building was super small, and there wasn’t much seating. We got luck and was able to sit down before a giant crowd came in. The booth was super small, to me only two people can fit in there. Our server was super great. She came up pick what we want. «The All American Breakfast.»
I got my sausage extra crispy, and the grits was AWESOME! I had to put some salt and pepper, but you get like a entire bowl. The waffle was huge!!! It was so delicious as well.
OMG I’m writing and thinking back about this place my stomach is growling, and now I must eat something. To bad there isn’t a Waffle House in the Fort Washington.

It was almost midnight, and we were at a different Waffle House a couple exits north. My brother thought that one looked dingy, so we drove to this one instead. It was empty, so we received service and food quickly. My brother seemed disappointed by the menu, but he’d never been to a Waffle House before. I ordered two waffles, and they were exactly what I’d wanted. If you order just waffles, the bill is ridiculously cheap. Perfect for what we needed.

I’ve never been to a Waffle House before, as I’ve always heard horrible things about them (plus, I don’t live anywhere near one) and I’m not one for breakfast foods. However, my girlfriend loves breakfast foods, so we stopped in at this one at 3am. I must say, we were quite shocked – it was actually good. Staff Was nice. Girlfriend said her food was good. The chicken sandwich I ordered was surprisingly good enough that I ended up ordering a second. Food was priced well, too.

Food that we ate was OK, the one star is because of the food handling. I directly witnessed the grill cook handle raw bacon and beef with her (gloved) hands, then directly use the cooking utensils to position and prepare the meats on the grill. The prep cook who is handling the prepared foods then used the same now soiled cooking utensils to move around and then remove the cooked food. This prep cook then handled a fresh tomato and started slicing it for my salad. When I called him out and told him his (gloved) hands were contaminated with raw pork and beef, he seemed to not understand, somehow insisting that because he was wearing gloves it was somehow safe. The woman who took my order then told him «he wants you to change your gloves» at which point he gave me a look and then changed them. I didn’t eat the salad.
This exchange really bothered me, not just for the unsafe handling of raw pork, but that somehow asking that my salad not be contaminated with raw pork was somehow an extreme request and it was something that «I wanted» him to do rather than something that they need to do to keep their food safe.
We will not be back.

This waffle house rocks! They make a soup or chicken milk and they get food ready fast! Will definitely come back

If I had never been to a waffle house I would never want to return. Very disorganized with so many people working. Long wait. I watched 2 sets of people walk out. Didn’t get all my food at the same time. I had to keep asking asking for the same things. Carryout orders were pushed behind and people waited over 40 minutes for food. At a waffle house? There were at least 12 people working. Like zombies. They need better training to be efficient. There was no normal waffle house system used here. Won’t return!

The restaurant was very clean, the staff cordial and attentive, and food was great. I dunno why others had bad service. I went this past weekend after church.

Mostly good people, however there is this one Eva that always has an unprofessional attitude. It’s unfortunate.

Service could have been a little better, but the food was really fantastic. Price was more than reasonable; in other words, value was great.

On the road Christmas day, there aren’t too many choices.

This is typical Waffle House. But it was funny that my 8month old daughter got scared about this restaurant. I did not feel welcoming vibe from this place.

The service is horrendous!!! Multiple parties sat and waited for 30 minutes before being acknowledged. There was only 1 cook taking all orders and 1 waitress waiting tables. I left after being ignored for 15 minutes.

If you don’t know Waffle House then go discover it for yourself. You’ll either love it or hate it

I’ve been to better locations. Service was terrible and the manager didn’t care that there were fly’s (dead and alive) in the restaurant.
