For some reason, I’m always a bit skeptical of hotel restaurants, but this place is legit. We walked in(with a reservation) and the hostess gave us a choice of a regular table or the chef’s table. The views of the kitchen from the chefs table were great. It’s always fun to see the pros in action. On to the food. Everything we had was top notch and cooked perfectly. We started with the highly recommended octopus appetizer. Then we decided to go local and had the Rocky Mountain Trout and the Lamb Duo. Honestly, we wanted try everything on the menu. Service was top notch, and we loved the famous chef portraits on the far wall.

I had very high expectations coming into this meal, and almost all of them were met. To start, we were a party of 12, which is hard manage at such a nice establishment. We all ordered cocktails that came at different times over 15 minutes. Needless to say, every drink was perfectly crafted, but it became hard to wait to do a toast and cheers. All of the starters were mind-blowing! Of the dishes we ordered I tried the scallops, octopus and venison tataki. If I could have ordered the octopus as an entrée I would have. It melted in your mouth! Our entrees were delicious, however we had send three back for being undercooked/overcooked. My duck was prepared just right and I would definitely recommend it to any duck lovers visiting Chef’s Club. All in all, the food and drinks were memorable, but the service was just eh. Definitely not a reason to skip this experience though!

The only thing more lovely than our service, meal, and wine, was the very reasonable check we got at the end of our meal. Was on a trip with my mother in Aspen and had to stop by Food and Wine magazine’s only Southwest(ish) dining experience. Our service was impeccable, the wine was incredibly priced and incredibly delicious. Our potstickers, fish and oodles of dessert were all phenomenal as well. Having travelled and dined at Michellin starred and James Beard award winning restaurants, the overall experience at Chefs Club was bar none. You will spend more at Cheesecake Factory for a bottle of Barefoot and a burger; for quality food and impeccable wine, Chefs Club is worth the trip to amazing Aspen.

A great dining experience. We enjoy sitting in front of the kitchen to watch the show. Makes the repeat list.
