I am from spain and after a year in NY, it is the only place where I can feel like I am in a Classic spanish bar. Good food, affordable prices and charming staff. You have to try the octopus.

Not only do they serve amazing food but they have the best waitress in New York! Leticia, you are fabulous! One of the main reasons me and my group of friends go every couple of months is just to see her! **Must try: Pulpo a la Gallega** Portion sizes are big, Keep this is mind while ordering. If your trying to watch a game, the crowd is great, but get there early or the older crowd will give you the death stare for trying to grab seats as it begins.(also keep in mind that it usually gets packed within an hour before the game even begins, especially the World/Euro Cup.) Last comment, they have a big selection on spanish beers This place is definitely a hidden gem. Only downside is the children screaming and running around at times.

This is the heart of the Spanish community in New York City where all are welcome. Very laid back and comfortable. Great traditional food at very reasonable prices… $ 4 beers… you can’t beat that. For years I have been going there with friends and we have always had a great meal with plenty of drinks for a fraction of what it would cost in Manhattan. Not lavishly decorated like the fancy restaurants, but I am looking for down to earth good food, not décor. My one suggestion would be that they expand their dessert menu with more variety and home made desserts which are abundant in Spanish cuisine. A little piece of Spain in New York right next to a subway stop. Do check them out on Facebook… full of photos and videos. The closest think to Spain I have witnessed in the States.

I have been here many times and I really liked this place until today. We were having lunch and we found out a COCKROACH on our food. I will never be back, and I’m kind of sad for it.

It’s a very family oriented place. Families go there to watch games, social gatherings, play cards, etc. I went with Spaniards and they explained to me that the dishes are very homestyle food. The food and the ambience is great! I recommend to go with a group of friends to truly enjoy the experience.

Came here to watch the Euro games. Great atmosphere, the crowd was fired up. They have tapas which were okay except for the fact they ran out of the one dish we really wanted, can’t blame them for that. The tapas we did have, the pork, spanish tortilla and olives were all great. They also have Estrella Galicia which is a Spanish beer you don’t find many other places outside the Iberian Peninsula. There is a bar in the front and a main dining room inside. They apparently also do dancing and other events. It’s really a hidden gem, it’s right off of Steinway and Broadway and no one seems to know about it. You enter through 41st street. Don’t be turned away by the«Royal Order of the Moose» sign. You’ll see it says Circulo Español below it.
