My co-workers and I really wanted pizza last week but it had to be a place that would deliver to our office. Apparently our location is considered LIC and Astoria. Anyway I found this place and Unilocal and they were down to come here. We ordered a large pie well done. They came rather quickly during lunch time and were very pleasant to deal with. The pizza hit the spot! In fact this is the new spot for ordering lunch.

I thought I ordered a small Combo Pizza but what arrived was a pretty big box. It was delicious and hot, and the delivery person was actually nice and talked to me which caught me off guard! Plus it was quick, estimated at 30 – 45 minutes to deliver, but took about 28 I believe. It had big, chunky, tasty toppings, and was a good value. The only thing that kept it from 5 stars was that it had a lot of grease on it, which of course made it tasty, but messy and even less healthy than pizza is already. Still, it’d be hard to beat.

Been living in LIC for about a week and a half and didn’t feel like heading out in the cold so we looked at some of the menus our apartment complex gave us. Giorgio’s looked good and the reviews on here were mixed so we gave it a shot. Guy who took order was super friendly and funny. We got the pizza super fast within like 30 minutes. We ordered the large combo pizza and a Caesar salad. They brought us the wrong salad but it was good anyway. The pizza was enormous and we struggled to get through half of it. Toppings were good and generous but the crust was a bit overcooked otherwise they would’ve totally gotten 4 stars. We will definitely give this place another shot!

Jezz Louise this is some good pizza. I always have the buffalo chicken pizza and it is always perfect. The people are super friendly and genuinely care if you enjoy the food. I haven’t tried the rest of the menu(I’m a creature of habit) but I’m more than confident that is very good also. The crust is that perfect blend of soft and crispy. When places like this exist, why do we have Dominos?

Just happened to find it on our 1st night in NYC. Got the larga combo and large gourmet. Delicious and huge pies! Would definitely return if we come back to this city!

This is officially mine and my bf’s go-to. First time was mozzarella sticks which were REAL sticks of mozzarella battered-amazing! My antipasto salad was perfect-tons of fresh meat, cheese and marinated veggies. He ordered chicken parm which was also delicious, and we asked for extra mozzarella which they didn’t charge for. Ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza just to try and it was great — awesome crust and not too greasy. Also, I forgot to put the apt number on the order and when I called they were the nicest ever. 25 mins from order to delivery. Needless to say we went back today to order for the bf’s poker night. One pepperoni pie, a cheese and sausage pie, and wings. All amazing once again!!! Wings are HUGE so you don’t need as many as you think. The lady I ordered from was the nicest person ever, and again delivery was about an hour from order to door. We are planning on ordering here whenever Italian is what we want. Great food, great staff, speedy service, and easily the cheapest Italian in Astoria. Love it!

The pizza was really good, they really need to redecorate. I think that would bring more sit-in customers… more money and tips!

I came across this pizzeria through the goto delivery website I use. Following their list of ‘most ordered items’, I came across one of if not the most popular pie sold, called the Combo Pizza. It’s a pie that consists of sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, mushrooms, onions, peppers, fresh garlic, & mozzarella. Yummmmm~ Let me just say I was blown away by the combo pie as it far exceeded my expectations. They don’t hold back one bit on the amount of toppings used and the cheese to sauce ratio is more than satisfactory. Being that I’m always ordering for 1, being able to enjoy it reheated the next day from the fridge is an important part of my criteria used in judging pies. Definitely one of my favorite pies to reheat and scarf down the next day as it doesn’t dry out like most average pies. That being said, after my initial delivery, I thought I’d try to expand out on the menu and try my luck with their meatball hero. Unfortunately, the hero was below standards in every way. After that last disappointment, I made it a habit to only order from Giorgio’s when I was in the specific mood for their scrumptious Combo pizza pie(they come in both small and large). Delivery times are about an half-hour average. Pretty average price for an above average tasting pizza. For everything else, keep in mind, YMMV.

In Astoria, a hood where Greek and Middle Eastern rule the culinary landscape, a growing number of bad pizza joints seem to be on the rise. For every 15 mediocre spots, there is one outstanding joint, which makes the odds considerably low when looking for that perfect slice. Giorgio’s is somewhere in the middle, cranking out decent pies on their best days, and looking like the rest of the competition during their bad ones. Most of their large pizzas are in the $ 13 – 19 range, which is an average price for a typical pizza joint. The general idea that expensive pizza concoctions fall short of the simple pies applies here. This cannot be more true for their array of pizzas, which many of the fancier ones fail. The most expensive one on the menu, the Cajun Shrimp($ 19), was poorly put together compared to the generic(but better tasting) white pizza($ 13). The margherita($ 15) is infinitely better than the salad pizza($ 17). The one specialty pie that I’ve had with decent results is the Grandma($ 19), which seems to be one of the more popular pies and perhaps the lone exception. I’ve been told the one to get is buffalo chicken, but I’m not optimistic enough to take the plunge. And in typical pizza joint fashion, the menu features the usual array of Italian items that aren’t pizza from soups to sandwiches to pasta. The pasta choices feel spendy for a place like this — $ 15 for bolognese or penne vodka? Really? Neither were impressive and I’m not itching to explore any of the other pasta options anytime soon. What did get me was their soups, which despite it’s spendy $ 4 cups, have produced very decent results, more specifically the cream of broccoli and pasta e fagioli. My hope is that this place is able to capitalize on what they do well and improve the rest of their pizza game. If not, I don’t see this place lasting long in the cruel world of Astoria pizza.
